  1. gotta say that I didn't give the Niners enough credit. the played much touger that I thought they would. I knew it would be a good tough game but didn't expect it to be that close. Now, what will happen with them next year? the only way to improve in the eyes of many it SB or bust but it they get better on the offensive side that will go a long way. could be the start of a rebirth. Giants getting ready again to meet the Pats. could be a 45-48 game or a 10-17 game.
  2. didn't watch this but seen it on Netflix and remembered that I really liked it when I was younger http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HLAbTbGQcr8
  3. this was way more of a catch but like was said, consistant calls need to be addressed http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kqAuFs6Deko
  4. You obviously didnt watch the Broncos game last week when Gronkoski not only did NOT maintain possession but bobbled the ball and landed on top of it with it hitting the ground but it was somehow a catch. Evans caught the ball landed on his feet and turned his body. How is that different than someone on a QB sneak and just as they cross the goal line the ball is knocked out. It's not different. The NFL knows what they want and the Refs don't follow the rules that are set in place. What a fucking joke! If that was a call last it was a bad call last week. As for a runner crossing the goal, the difference is that the runner is consdered to have possession as a runner, a WR must complete a catch through the play. If it was a bad call you would already hear the uproar from everywhere. everyting I've seen from all the anlayst haven't said a thing about a bad call and from what I watched over the last few years that is the way the rules are stated for a catch.
  5. I was talking about the kicker
  6. nope, when it is a catch you have to maintain possession all the way through the play. Look at the Calvin Johnson play last year. If it was a rush all you have to do is cross the line. unfortunately the rules for a reception has gotten a little less about common sense and more about "till the end of the play"
  7. The Untouchables - I like this one but was a little let down. I guess it has a reputation that I expected to be blown away.
  8. I think we know who will not be back with the Ravens next year
  9. Yup Manning has had some good wideouts and he had Dallas Clark when he was healthy but besides having James at RB early in his career who has he had in the backfield since then? Their running game has been the worst in the league or one of the worst in the league for years and years even the year they won the Super Bowl. Also I think you forget that Brady did have someone named RANDY MOSS!!!!! And you are still fogetting that Matt Cassell won 11 games with the same team while Manning's backup(s) only won two games with a mostly healthy team that Peyton won anywhere from 10-15 games with. Also Tom's offensive line has kept him protected so much better than Peyton's has. Yep, had Moss for 2 years at the end of his career. One HUGE year with Moss shows what Brady could have done with big time weapons. Plus the Pats never won a Super Bowl with Moss on the team. All the SB wins have come with WR's that would be a #2 or #3 WR on other teams
  10. I'm going with a Pats vs Giants SB. Niners were lucky that the Saints had 5 turnovers. don't know how to pick this one. I'd say that the Giants would have the edge going into this one. I think the Giants can score with the Pats but the Giants have a better D and running game. toss up but it you put a gun to my head I'd say Giants win but I'll be pulling for the Pats. on a side note, I'm really glad to see Alex Smith have some success. poor guy never gave up, never was given much of a chance either. in 7 years having 7 Offesive coridnators? no one can have much success under that condition. if Rodgers had gone to the Niners how different would have his career had been? Ravens need more dynamic WR's. need Tori Smith to emerge as a consistant threat to help free up Boldin. in my opinion Boldin is a bigger Hines Ward, a chain mover, gets the tough yards with a big play now and again. Smith and another big play WR would help Flacco a ton
  11. Brady has 3 rings withoug a HOF WR or RB. studys like Manning but produces under pressure and in the playoffs. For a LONG time my pick for best QB ever was Elway but in my opinion Brady has now taken over that spot. BEST EVER will always be just opinoin. I do think that Brady has done more with a lesser cast than just about anyone has. Give Brady the weapons that Manning has had and it would be crazy what his numbers would be. and just for the record of where I'm coming from ---- I've been a Manning fan since his days of playing at UT. Being a huge Vols fan he still owns Knoxville in my opinion. So me saying Brady is better than Manning isn't said without looking at both. Being a Steeler fan and having Brady beat my Steelers most years still doesn't cloud my feelings that Brady is maybe the Best Ever.
  12. I know it will be unpopluar but i'm going to say it anyway. I'm pulling for the Pats to win it all. I think that Brady may be the best ever QB to play the game. on a side note, Steven Tyler doesn't need to sing the National Anthem anymore. (ravens - pats game)
