Dude, believe me, people have been telling me that for years, haha! I'm not even sure why I never caught "Firefly" when it first ran on TV years ago, since I'm a sci-fi fan and a Joss Whedon fanboy, but I guess it came and went so quickly that I never got a chance to check it out. Now that I've seen the flick I'm gonna hit up the local library and see if they have the TV series on DVD. I never caught it either. I had a friend who talked me into buying the DVD set. it took me through the 2 part Pilot (also called Serenity) and about half way through the first episode (long story, listen to commentary when you get the dvd's) to "get it" and it was on from there. just couldn't get enough and then it was over. still pisses me off it was cut so short.

a friend of mine went to the Mumford & Sons concert last night and HAIM was one of the opening bands. said they were much more of a guitar driven band live and you can tell they didn't have their drummer in place when they recorded their EP but live they just blew the place away

what I'm lookig for is 5 bands from the 80's scene that are different. you know what i'm saying, you have Poison then all the bands that are related to them in style, Warrant, PBF....... You have Crue and all the sound alike bands that came after them. What is an obscure band / artist in the 80's hard rock scene that had a bit of a different sound that still ROCKED.

just got back from the Drive-In. tripple feature tonght Up first we have ICE AGE 4: CONTINENTAL DRIFT - was an ok watch. coming up 2nd DIARY OF A WIMPY KID 3: DOG DAYS - again was a good watch the last feature PROMETHEUS - once again a good watch
