Yeah I see where you're coming from, but personally I struggle to consider it as rock n roll at all.
-
Gave it a go but for me, this is too wimpy. It's borderline not suited on a website like this. It's elevator music to these ears.
-
I like this better than I thought I would listening to the singles when they came out. I currently rate it at 4.5 put of 6. It might be a grower. Some fine melodies and choruses. I like the sound of the guitars too, as well as the solos, have me air guitar-ing.

And they don't even bother to cover the Chris De Burgh hit "Don't Pay The Ferryman".
Just as well as they could never better the version by Domain.

I'm liking what I hear. Vocals are fine to me.

Late to this, but I just got ears on a band called Fighter V. Sounds really good.

Eclipse are like Axel Rudi Pell. They have found their style and they are sticking to it. Frankly, I don't get the fact that they're criticised for sounding the same (ish) on their albums. Now if they got criticised because the songs suck, I'd get it. But they don't. But if that is your criticism, fair play.
The same riffs, one long song criticisms are ridiculous though imo. I can easily hear that that is not true.

My list can now be updated with
Whitesnake
Demon
Helix
The Darkness
Venom
Gathering of Kings
Backyard Babies
Avantasia
Wayward Sons
-
Baton Rouge - Shake Your Soul
Hardline - Double Eclipse
Gathering of Kings - First Mission
Magnum - The Spirit
Demon - The Unexpected Guest
Axel Rudi Pell - Kings and Queens, Oceans of Time (and others tbf)

Really looking forward to this. I saw them live this summer and I have to say it was amazing.
First Mission is a top notch album and Heaven on the Run and Moonlight promise that the next one will be a belter as well.

If these first 4 songs were your fishing tackle box and you went fishing with it you would catch absolutely nothing as they have no hooks whatsoever.
😂
Funny but you're wrong.

I will say it again and again, I would rather have a song SOUND good to my ears and have tired lyrics than have it sound like sh!t and have brilliant/fresh lyrics.....
This, this, this.
It's not enough to be able to pen a killer tune, musicians all have to be John Steinbeck too. AND write lyrics for each individual taste.
Shouldn't be too difficult.

Reminding of Sabaton.
This comment is pretty ridiculous. There is no resemblance between the two. Lyrically perhaps a tiny bit, but if battle themed songs are all it takes there are thousands of bands that is similar to Sabaton.

Talisman - I'll Be Waiting

Don't know how to embed, sorry.

Many great suggestions, but I didn't see Talisman in there. Their debut is a classic.
Jeff Scott Soto on vocals.
-
The Runaway by Gathering of Kings.
-
Going to see Whitesnake in July. Looking forward to it.

I saw them at Sweden Rock Festival 10 or so years ago. We were a bit late and just arrived when they opened with Kingdom of Madness. Goose bumps and one of the best concerts I've been to.
-
Good, catchy songs. I would never in a million years call it metal though. Well, pop metal maybe. I'd put these guys in the AOR/Hard rock section though if I'm honest.
It's making me tap my feet though, so I'm giving thumbs up.

Good song. Hurry April.

Interesting choice.
I would have said Johnny from Hardline.
Doh!
-
The last album was their best since the classic debut, and I hope this is in the same vein.
The band should be called Joey from Hardline feat. A bunch of other people.
-
Gone through this once and I'll sure be going back. Good stuff.

I like what I'm hearing.

Definitely going to check it out. Sounds good.
