I like this album very much. All the fast songs range from good to very good. The slower ones don't do much for me, but I'm not generally a ballads kind of guy.
I don't get the Cher analogy at all, but it was funny.
It will definitely get a lot of playing time.
Recommended.

Vega has never quite done it for me. I've always found them too smooth. The latest single has more edge and if the album is in the same vein, it could be a contender.
-
Can't see how this will be topped. Best album from start to finish that I have heard for several years.
-
I'm just going to come out and say it:
This is the album of the year.
-
This is sounding really good. I'm adding Time Enough..., Mama Tried and Vegas to the standout group. It's really growing on me.
-
Given it one spin.
Good Times, Straight Shooter, Another Fine Mess are three early standout songs.
-
I like the re-recording of Slow Ride.
-
The new album is out now. Not listened to it yet, but I think I will like it.
The first album is a classic in my book and I can't think of a single stinker on it.

Absolutely agree with everything Geoff said.
Really liked their last album and this song is very good too.
The last album was their best in ages and this promises to be more of the same.

Yes, yes, yes, YES!
Great news. I love these guys.

I have another confession:
Tell It To My Heart - Taylor Dayne.
-
YEAH! I like what I'm hearing so far.
-
I like Harlan Cage a lot and they have covered several Fortune songs on their albums. I am definitely looking forward to this one.
-
Like Crazysam said, very good debut, follow up left me somewhat disappointed.
This new song is really good and I look forward to the album. I like the heavier style, and if the rest of the songs have this strong choruses then we're in for a treat.

No-one at all? You're missing out.

...outside of heavyharmonies that is.

I know this is an old topic, but I loved this album. Had it back in the day but it got lost in several moves.
If anyone can help me get my hands on either a hard copy or a digital one, I would be so grateful.
Hope I'm not breaking any forum rules here.

Their debut and 'Games People Play,' do you mean? Or are you not aware of their s/t debut (1989) and their best album of all, 'One Size Fits All? (1991)' If you've not heard those two, make sure you do asap. The debut has great songs, but awful vocals and production. Still a great disc, though. Amazing guitar. 'One Size Fits All' has the killer production to match the killer tunes. Probably my favourite album from them.
That said, 'Shattered,' from 'Games People Play,' (1993) is my favourite song from them.
You are right of course. I am aware of their debut, can't believe I forgot that.
Embarrassed.
-
I'm not convinced by these guys. The style is very much up my alley but for some reason I never quite got in to their debut. I will give it some more time and see if it sticks.
-
This is one of their best albums ever, if not the best.
Some songs were instant while others grew after some spins.
For me, one of the best albums of 2017.
-
Their debut Games People Play is a classic in my book. Andy Deris on vocals.

I like this album. There are 4 or 5 excellent tracks on here. A few good ones and the odd filler. The foursome Walls Come Down, Unite and Divide, No More Fear and Man of Sorrow are belting tracks. We Bow To None is really good too. Vagrant of the Night and Bloodsucker are sniffing around the 4 aforementioned songs but does not quite reach that level. Path of Destiny and Whistleblower are ok but The Other Man doesn't do much for me.
