  1. ...As of right now I have been waiting, listening to their "hold music" for close to 40 minutes ... Speaker phones are useful, might as well see how long it takes. <<

I finally gave up after an hour and 15 minutes ... what the hell .................................

Well, there is an improvement then... if you call today there is a nice cheerful automated voice advising you the waiting will be between 4 to 8 HOURS :fun_84:

  2. i prefer novy zavet's first 2 vinyls. did they send you a box of the singles of a.nevskiy as well? i need one.... :headbanger:

Personally I prefer the first two albums by far too, but I'm so disgusted with people asking me "are they sung in English?" and then smirking out and walking away, so I'm giving all those the perfect GIBBERINGLISH album.

Apocalypse is still very stellar album musicwise - just imagine a classic TROUBLE or SOLITUDE AETURNUS sung by an young Tarzan coming to the studio out of the jungles :)

    In this batch:

ROTTING CORPSE - The Demos - Double CD DVD Set - forefathers of the Texan thrash metal. Collection of all demos (16 tunes) plus bonus live DVD to boot. Essential for fans of Gammacide, Heaven's Force, Devastation, Hammerwitch, Hellpreacher, and early Slayer.

MIDNIGHT PRIEST - Rainha De Magia Negra CD - Portuguese street urchin gang giving early Iron Maiden the run for their money.

ANCIENT CROSS - Ancient Cross CD - Texan classic power metal following the steps of Reverend, early Metal Church, Syrus, Wyzard, early Crimson Glory, etc. Fans of epic metal with soaring vocals should take note.

NOVOY ZAVET (aka NEW TESTAMENT) - Apocalypse CD - Cult Orthodox Christian power/thrash metal with doomy overtones from the Soviet Union. This album was recorded in 1993 but never officially released on CD until now. For fans of Trouble, Solitude Aeturnus, Ultimatum, etc. Sung in English (albeit quite broken).

DARK BLACK - The Sellsword CD - best described as Early Lord Weird Slough Feg meets Thin Lizzy with some of the best twin axe work I've heard recently. Highly recommended. From Portland, Oregon.

TARGET - Mission Executed + Master Project Genesis + Demo 1986 Double CD set - Well known and respected 80s Belgian techno-thrashers following in the steps of the mighty Mekong Delta. You can save your money now from buying ugly bootlegs on ebay for $200 , just pick this beautiful double CD set which not only contains the highly collectible Demo 1986 as bonus, but also 16-page booklet with all lyrics, tons of archive pictures, and exclusive in-depth interview with founding guitarist Franky Van Aerde.

Exact release date and detailed info to be posted on the label website (www.stormspell.com/label) soon.

  4. The prices are pretty much what you will end up paying to the postal office. Go to www.usps.com and use their international calculator to see exactly what it will cost. One CD with jewel case weights approx 4 oz

The only way to save on shipping these days is to ship w/o jewels in flat-rate priority envelope (although to Greece I've got some priority envelopes reported lost already, and I'd personally advise via flat-rate Express Mail which is $15 more).

  5. Finally an important hole in my collection was plugged up today, one of the best Scandi MHR albums from the early 90s has landed in my player and blew my head away from the waist :banger:

why was your head at your waist? quickie?

If I could I would, believe me! :P However, this was just a verbal (do not confuse with oral!) impression showing that this album not only blew off my head, but tore my entire body in half!

  6. From the seller's perspective, I'm sure they get sick and tired of A: cheapskates making cheap ass offers, like for 80% off, and B: buyers whining when they don't accept an offer.

It goes both ways, kind of like koogles!

I don't care, it is solely the seller's problem. If they want to use the "Best offer" option they should prepare to deal with all offers.

Besides, 80% discount on a retarderly inflated price still may be more than the actual cost the item is worth for.

So ya, bottom line is - if you opt to offer "Best offer," deal with it and be grateful people are considering your items.

  7. As it is at the moment I'm positively sure that collecting sales tax by merchants on out-of-state online transactions is not required (unless as Dan says there is an interstate agreement). It is the buyer's responsibility to report all out-of-state purchases as used tax on their tax returns.

Right now, the only way I can think of collecting and reporting taxes from other states would be to fill separate tax returns to all states board's of equalization? Just imagine what a bureaucratic nightmare that would be! I don't think anyone would impose themselves on such chore if it is not required. Cdbaby must have an office in the state they are collecting sales tax or something is glitchy in their system.

P.S. just finished reading the entire thread. Cdbaby must really have an office in Tennessee. It would be extremely lame to try make extra buck on collecting fake sales taxes.
