I for one havent written to Kevin, but it pleases me to know that many others had taken their time to do so. Obviously it is not only the few of us, the so called "detractors" who care, so there is a hope. Good!

I must say, I have met some cool people here... and have been introduced to some bands that I hadn't given a chance to before. And I'm sure I'll keep in touch with some of the people I have met.

 

I thought this site was about the MUSIC. Seems like it's more about people who are insecure and have to try to bring others down. Well... Good Luck.

For me personally it is nothing else, but a global war agains bootleggers. It doesnt matter to me if it is Sam, 80esmetalcoolector, or anyone else - its just when I see someone trying to justify/promoting bootlegging or ripping off, I feel oblidged to respond.

Yes, I agree it is repetitive, tiresome, beating the dead horse, ugly, etc. AND I have felt bad on occasions when this shit was spreading throughout the entire forum and people were complaining. But since now it is restricted to this very small corner only, I dont think it should be problem for anyone, and if for some reason it is, just avoid reading here and thoroughly enjoy the rest of the forums.

I respect other member's opinions and will not spread the shit outside this place. But when I see a question here from a person who has 30+ bootleg auctions currently on eBay, and boldly asking "me selling bootlegs?" I just cannot close my eyes and pass by.

They are fun band with comic image, quite enjoyable in my opinion.

Okay, I was thinking of announcing this soon anyway, so here would be a good place to do it.

As of January 1st, 2006 I've expanded my online mailorder and registered Stormspell Records.

My releases will be silverback factory pressed products with multiple-page booklets and all other extras I could think of (hand-numbered, with extra free bonuses, such as, stickers, pins, etc.), and they will retail for flat fixed price, no eBay "the-market-determines-the-price" markups or anything

I have already two releases planned in progress, which would be announced on www.stormspell.com shortly when the contracts are signed.

And yes, I posted this here because I'd be interested in licensing Kidd Wikkid re-release, if it is available for licensing. I'm sure I can make very competitive and appealing bid for it.

Well, he takes PayPal, but I guess he is planning on draining the funds and sacrificing the PayPal account. Still one should be able to pay using CC and reverse the charge if something happens, so its worth a try maybe, though, I bet my hat 95% chance its fake auction.

I think this guy is just some naive buyer who is soon to discover the bad news...

No one knows the answers to those questions. They may have been shipped to them w/o jewels to save shipping, they may be originally not shrinkwrapped, etc.

What interests me more is what this "warehouse" is, because the major ones on wholesale lists are frequented by most eBay power-sellers and surely there would be other people picking it up too. The logic dictates that a person located in Sweden must have found US warehouse on the internet, and that cannot pass unnoticed in my opinion, as I'm sure there are at least 20 collectors punching the words "stage dolls commandos" in google every day...

Ya, seems he uses downloaded pictures. Check out Big Bang Babies or NVC pictures for example - they show the old eBay watermark under the current one, so they had been downloaded from previous eBay auctions...

Well Storm i have to disagree, because i mailed a package w/1 reg. CD to the UK earlier this week in a regular bubblemailer and it was $7.01 for Air Letter Post, there was nothing heavy about the package at all........Not sure if rates are different if you ship from different parts of the US or not......

Rates are the same regardless your US destination. You can check them at www.usps.com - their online calculator is very accurate (see picture below)

I'm guessing, but what probably happened to you is you didnt go directly to the USPS office, but to a second party shipper (local grocery store, etc.). Those guys will ship USPS for you, but will overcharge you about 150-200% of the regular USPS prices, that's how they make their profit.

Shipping does not have to be that expensive for quick postage by USPS from the USA to UK!

I recieved four CDs from Dan yesterday (or maybe Monday,I forget).

Those CDs cost a total of $4 to send and were posted on Saturday!

 

Obviously this was without jewel cases,but the weight of four CDs minus jewel cases,is not that much less than one CD in a jewel case!

4 ounces airmail to UK costs $3.35, that will fit most regular CDs.

If the CD has fatter booklet or something, 5 ounces to UK are $4.20

So in general yes, you can consider you can send ANY single CD with jewel case in bubbled envelope to UK for $4.20 exact shipping cost

That's from my personal shipping experience, other may disagree.

I personally prefer to ship 1 CD with jewels via Global Priority Mail - exact cost is $5.50

Recently an US seller wanted to charge me 12$ for shipping a LP to Germany. In friendly words I gave him the message:

$10-12 would be about exact airmail shipping, especially if packed well in heavy-cardboard. He could have sent it to you ground for maybe $7 according new USPS prices, but it would take 2 months and be lucky to get it not beaten up. Registration is extra +$7.90 exact
