  1. Yeah not bad, but is up with that band name, it's
  2. FM-84 is Colin Bennett from Scotland now residing in San Francisco, graphic designer by day retro synthwaver by night. He released his EP Los Angeles last year and now has released his album Atlas, and I love every track on it. Vocals on the album are supplied by Ollie Wride, Josh Dally and Clive Farrington. https://fm84.bandcamp.com/album/atlas https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TvZskcqdYcE&list=RDTvZskcqdYcE https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kebSVddrWAg
  3. Not a big fan of prog metal so this does nothing for me at all, but I do love this guys voice. The vocal on the Timecop 1983 stuff is awesome and he has done some pretty cool covers. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Zt-x8Etng9E https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EmcvDWQeohQ
  4. 1st single from the forth coming debut album by Rival City Heights and I like it, will be intrested in hearing more. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JYP9I9Hm5AM&list=PLU6v57Fk6-qDSKdrKQoya1n5Yc6bzccCO
  5. Yep REALLY love those 2 tracks. That's the thing with a lot of these new retro wave acts, they are just producers who mainly do instrumental stuff and bring in guest vocalists now and then. I would like all tracks to have vocals.
  6. Yeah not to bad will look into them further.
  7. Cassette Club are Ben Macklin and Tom Hammond from London. Ben and Tom use their obsessive knowledge of all things electronic and soulful to create irresistibly good-looking pop music. Rich and sophisticated, the vocals provide the perfect accompaniment to the clean metronomic beats peppered with sharp synths. Flawlessly executed and irrepressibly feel-good, Cassette Club have perfected the art of electrosexy. With influences ranging from ABC to Daft Punk, Go West to Justice, Depeche Mode to MGMT, their debut album is a colourful afternoon in the sun - Cassette Club style. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r_4ZqowqSu8 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lQd2yQrVm5s
  8. Highway Superstar is a pseudonym of Israeli record producer and synthwave musician Alex Karlinsky. Having been raised in the 80's, Highway Superstar is his attempt to recreate musical elements from the period, while combining them with modern production techniques and soundscapes. After several internet singles between 2012–2013, a full album was released via the USA/Canadian label Rosso Corsa Records. In 2015 the track Careful Shouting was featured in the short film Kung Fury. Karlinsky is also active in the Israeli music scene as a session keyboard player, arranger, producer, mixing and mastering engineer. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ouvcvvX6jjM https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cIi-nhEoFX0 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v2zlH72k0Rw https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QQpBJPhBzHU

  12. Another couple of tracks from Timecop 1983 - Journeys album 2014 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-6fbaaERI4k https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VOj-USZaz4Q https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XXqWDtBER9Q
  13. Was listening to Timecop 1983 - Reflections tonight, mixture of instrumentals and vocal tracks, but it's the vocal tracks, oh my I find these tracks sublime. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HeZ_4QFiVWI https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MWuv8hNz44s https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mkQ6H21QBXE https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HeXdRQnogPQ
  14. Yeah I like this CA duo myself, the synths on this are massive and then throw in the distorted lead solos, love it. Basically this is one massive dance album, albeit on the synthwave side of things, throw this on at any party and the place will be fuckin jumpin'
  15. Originally from West Yorkshire, Le Cassette’s members are now spread across England, creating 80’s inspired music from a distance. With careful attention paid to the detail in their production, the band has produced some of the most unique tracks within the genre. In addition to creating music that is compelling, thoughtful, and at times playful, Le Cassette distinguishes themselves with beautifully arranged vocals, taking inspiration from Peter Gabriel, Roxy Music, and Phil Collins (and sometimes, in their record companies opinion, evoking a young David Bowie). Their debut album Left To Our Own Devices was released in July 2014. Listened to this tonight and I fucking love it....... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BBNqNle4ikU&list=RDBBNqNle4ikU https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Scmu3RpgvrI&index=3&list=RDBBNqNle4ikU https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tAvZ2myjsaQ&index=2&list=RDBBNqNle4ikU https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rVpN7JVMQKg&index=6&list=RDBBNqNle4ikU https://telefuturenow.bandcamp.com/album/left-to-our-own-devices
  16. Free weights are a retro revivalist band from Helsinki and produce some AWESOME stuff, well imho anyway.
  17. The Midnight is a marriage between a songwriter from the Deep South and a producer from Denmark who both live in Los Angeles. The songs were written in North Hollywood and Santa Monica over two years and represent the first fruit of The Midnight. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UiSB2Fbw9gs https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A206G8RQB_U https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=18-Ye2L3ej8 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sTES3KfHjfA
  18. Thanks, I'll check it out for sure. I'm aware of Magic Dance, but any other recommendations like this one or Magic Dance, I would hungrily take on board. Ideally with male vocalists, in all honesty. Sebastian Gampl is superb, released his Winner EP last year. You should check out the New Retro Wave channel over at utube for ideas, the only thing about this new retro wave stuff is a lot of the tracks are instrumental. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=esfuCfCy9kw https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IAC_UQMzVAg https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JkoC5MNsvPY
  19. The Kristine album from last year is Superb, played it to death last summer and it will be getting played to death this summer also, perfect summer soundtrack. Kristine supplied vocals on a track by Shadoworks called eyes of danger. A guy called Pete Hawthorne from the UK is the guitarist and they were supposed to release an ep but don't think it ever happened. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N5ZltEkANtE
  20. Agree Lighthouse is a great song, but like you acoustic stuff does not float my boat 1 bit, wiil just have to wait for the new album. Tho have to say I really liked Summer Bones.
  21. This Swedish duo are part of the 80's retro synthwave scene, producing music that is straight out of the 80's which makes me one happy camper,LOVE THIS SHIT!!!.
