  1. Damn! The summer is not yet gone and Here Comes The Rain... Vega - Here Comes The Rain
  2. (I used to post here...) Another from Houston (Sweden), not exactly a B-Side, was included in Relaunch II, an album of covers, but this gem is not a cover... Houston - Don't look back
  3. 4. About Nordic Union, well, in my case, I love the Ronnie Atkins bittersweet voice, the 'hardness' of the album is perfect (it has 'balls' but not in excess) and songs like 'Hipocrisy', 'Falling' or 'When death is calling' are top-notch. But everyone has different tastes, mate, we're not clones, even liking the same music style. What's your Top-3 this year, then?

Nordic Union 2. First Signal 3. Palace
  6. Not blasphemous at all Dan, it's just that Cruzh for me has been instant love while this one is more a grower which needs more spins, specially some tracks. Still to decide which one I like more in my case.
  7. Very nice sound, looking forward for a full album of these guys (and girls... and masks). Thanks mate.
  8. Great track: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JDRgtng_oi8
  9. Really? I think it's much better than that tune. A throwback to the 'Hell On High Heels' / 'Wouldn't Miss You' type vibe, which has been missing for a few albums now. I love it. Matter of tastes, mate: "Little drops" is my absolute favorite from them. I respect yours, of course.
  10. Not at the level of Little Drops Of Heaven but very nice.
  11. Very, very good for me: 01. In N' out of Love 10 02. First Cruzh 9.5 03. Aim for the Head 10 04. Anything for You 7.5 05. Survive 8 06. Stay 8 07. Hard to Get 10 08. 12. Tomorrow is the day... Reviews: Score 9.5 http://heavyparadise.blogspot.com.es/2016/07/review-cruzh-cruzh-2016.html Score 4/5 http://www.dangerdog.com/2016-music-reviews/cruzh-2016.php#.V77YNhWSS9I
  13. Some FM hard rock band, for god's sake! (And no, they haven't anything with Breaking Bad actor) TRACKLIST: 01. Long, Long Way To Go 02. You Oughta Know 03. See You On The Other Side 04. Trouble Ahead 05. Fallen 06. Queen Of The Pain 07. Let It Go 08. Sea Of Madness 09. Hangin’ On 10. Unwanted http://www.dangerdog.com/2016-music-reviews/cranston-2016.php REVIEW: 4.5/5 If anything vocalist Phil Vincent is both consistent and persistent. In some twenty years the enduring musician has released 34 albums, if I counted correctly, between his solo work and the bands Tragik, Legion, Circular Logik and others. In 2015, he released six albums. Count 'em. Six. Holy crap. Now, after a momentary rest, he brings his new invention, Cranston. Named after his hometown in Rhode Island, it features songs penned with legendary musician and producer Paul Sabu, who plays all instruments, excepting drums, and produced the album. And the consistency, or inevitability, remains, whether it's Vincent or Sabu. Neither talent ventures from the Eighties. This is basic classic melodic hard rock in an AOR wrapper. Additionally, in this case, the Cranston is sharper, a bit heavier, nearing melodic metal. But the fundamentals remain: big vocals and vocal harmonies, catchy melodies, nice hooks in the arrangements and refrains, plenty of groove and, of course, brisk guitar riffs and slick solos. All this with Vincent at the helm of the Cranston ship. Like I said, it's what Vincent and Sabu do. It's inherent, second nature as it were. So, generally, the album rocks with a heavier groove. Unwanted, Long Long Way To Go, Fallen, and also Queen Of The Pain, with the persistent cow bell. Yeah, you read right. How Eighties is that? It's also to say there are no ballads here. The closest thing may be Sea of Madness, but it also has a deep bottom end. Actually, there isn't anything inherently tame about any song on this album. Plain and simple Cranston is melodic hard rock. And recommended. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Dyin6Qhou0c https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Xzh-YExnglA
  14. ...And also from Sweden comes Houston; maybe texans were tired of the "Houston, we got a problem"? ... Houston - Without your love (with Elize Ryd from Amaranthe)
  15. Any release date of these guys? I loved Truth Slips:
  16. +1 My main problem with this are certainly the tracks 7, 8, and 9 which are too similar, too softy and one next the other. The rest is ok, as long as you don't expect the Dare of Out Of The Silence or Blood From Stone days. Scores: 01. Home 7.5 02. I'll hear you pray 9.5 03. Strength 9.5 04. Every time we say goodbye 8 05. Days of summer 7.5 06. On my own 7.5 07. Until 5.5 08. All our brass was gold 6 09. You carried me 6 10. Like the first time 8 11. Along the heather 7.5 Total: 75.0%
  17. Lol Well, I'm not so hard. Anyway, this is the best song of the album IMO: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9yc5N-ZKezE
  18. Soon will start Rio Olympics, so what about some great sport rocker by The Poodles... in swedish!?! The Poodles - En För Alla För En
  19. I loved Out Of The Silence in its AORish style, then loved even more Blood From Stone a great, great hard-rocker. Then came Calm Before The Storm, which was much more mellow, so initially was difficult for me to like it. But finally I did, and I'm glad because it's plenty of great songs. Probably is my favorite album from Dare now. The other ones, Belief, Beneath the shining water, and Arc of the dawn have some great songs (specially the last), but as full albums don't work for me. And please forget Calm Before The Storm 2, I don't get why Darren wanted to do this re-recording. IMO the original is sublime.
  20. Jim Peterik is back, and this was a great bonus in the album Risk Everything: Jim Peterik - The Man I Am
