Sad Isn't it? grown men having to hide stuff that they buy. My wife doesn't tell/show me every shirt, pair of shoes etc. that she buys.OK,
Here's my new delema. I usually go up to my loft every friday or saturday night and pound a few pints. This is the perfect time to listen to my newly aquired discs. The Wife is usually down stairs watching t.v. or on her Notebook. As I was opening one of my jewelcase packages (Taking the plastic off) I hear a "Is that a new c.d. I hear?" I look down and show her what I was opening.
So, now I not only have to sneak c.d.'s into my home, I now have to take the plastic off of them to not make a sound.
The only thing I got going for me is She doesn't go upstairs. I'd really be screwed..
Oh, this is priceless!
The tell tale crinkling of cellophane...just make sure to have a bag or two of chips up there to "mask" the sound.
And it is priceless the things we do to fuel the obsession.
And you should try confronting her about that. Then let us know how it goes.
LOL!!

Very good cd, It is sounding like the new one is going to be just as good. Hope so!Kiss - Sonic Boom
(love this album - classic Kiss to me)
I hope the new is as good as what the band is saying it is but Sonic Boom was a damn good album.
it really is. I thought it was a very strong, even effort from the band.

Screaming Jets - All for One

It's great and You're right Glen, Wilson sounds excellent, although that comes as no surprise, as he was great in this band before Mac joined. Some of the tunes are less immediate and more proggressive than on the last couple of albums and my god at 75 minutes plus this is no easy fix album, but great non the less with lots of stuff to get ya teeth in to. The boys do it again
that is great to hear. I loved the samples. this is one my next amazon order.
Its excellent! Especially the second half of the album.
Some of the solos are just sublime.....some of best that Groom has played.
its been a good year for prog metal with this, Bad Salad and Distorted Harmony.

As good as Toby is, and Peterik obviously, PoL just never clicked with me...I don't know why.
Because they suck.
Nah, I take no joy in seeing everyone finally realise what a rubbish band these guys really are, but I am thankful that because of the comments, I probably won't ever put myself through a listening of this... especially if people who liked the last album (which is one of the worst things I've heard in my life) are even saying this is bad. Must be f*cking incredible... in a bad way.
It's got nothing to do realising mate. If an album is good AOR like the debut or Destiny Stone, I will say so and give it the praise it deserves.
The last 2 albums have been in the main poor though - from a lyrical/theatrical point really (I mean Toby still sounds awesome, esp on the ballads) - but I must add they are not alone this year in the epic fail category are they!
Been a great year in most respects but also some major disappointments along the way
.All three of the past POL releases were really good in my book...so I was quite surprised that I didn't really rate ANY song on this album..and I can pretty much say that has never ever happened with me before on any AOR type disc. Don't get me wrong. It's not terrible..but it has to be said it is musically bog average, lyrically poor and generally doesn't get the pulse racing one Iota.
it is bland. I loved the last release but this is just bland.

Never will!!!I don't think the obsession with music will ever end
yeah. I get to the point where I think i have a lot of good stuff and then discover a genre that is too cool.
