  1. Raymond E. Feist....."Prince of the Blood".......

Feist KICKS ASS! I love his stuff, great choice. :drink:

Yep he is fast becoming one of my favorite authors...as I work my way through his writings in the order they were released... :beerbang:

I haven't read the latest stuff, I stopped at "The Riftwar Legacy" books, like "Krondor: The Assassins" and such, I thought it started getting a bit weak, but prior to that he was easily one of my favorite authors... I may have to see what he's doing these days, see if I'm likin' what he's putting out now... hmm, and I have a Barnes & Noble gift card in my wallet... hmm...

I know that I occasionally need a break from reading only one authors output.....even the mighty Robert Jordan can be tiring or at least trying if you read a half dozen of his books back to back....I bet you'll easily rediscover your taste for Feist.....

  3. Don't play e-mail tag with those people... Call them 1-800-717 3229

On top of that, Canada is not the problem. A problem buyers can be from anywhere and everywhere. The countries to watch out for are some over in Europe as well as Indonesia and Middle east. And thanks to too many trades and sales gone wrong, Italy was marked off my "to send to" list as well

I agree Canada is not the problem (of course I'm a bit biased :) ).....a while back a seller that I had many transactions with suddenly stopped selling to Canada because of a few bads experiences, while he certainly had the right to do so I can't help but think his actions were a bit shortsighted....

  4. The funny thing for me is that I think the majority of new “normal” TV shows are far more mind numbing than reality TV. I think a part of my brain dies every time I see another seen-it-all-14,000-times-before case on those murder shows, or another seen-it-all-14,000-times-before medical procedure on one of those shows, or another seen-it-all-14,000-times-before court hearing on one of those shows. If that is any less mind-numbing than a show like ‘Survivor’ then call me a famous dancer with tears in my eyes.

Nothing I can see on TV is going to expand my mind, unless I go out of my way to watch a learning channel or documentaries. But for me, TV and music is about entertainment and getting away from it all. Not learning. That’s what books, study and schools are for.

Aussie TV is overrun by American reality tv, American comedy and American drama/crime investigation/law stuff...

hence i dont watch tv anymore..

But the most unfortunate thing about that is that as bad as most of it is, Aussie shows are even worse… and let’s not even get started on British ones. British people should have video cameras banned over there.

I watch probably 3-4 shows a week (at most), whereas I once used to watch about 3-4 per night.

I actually watched 2 Aussie programs last year....Sea Patrol and Homicide...I thought both to be quite good...........I think I'm in the majority when I say reality shows suck....I watch tv and movies to temporarily escape into a fantasy world , the exception being docs...news and sports have moved into the fantasy world IMO..... if you want reality shut off the boob tube get off the couch and go out somewhere....

  5. There are plenty of reasons to be against boots .....unfortunately a lot of the stuff being booted is not available in proper release form so what is a music fan to do....it's too bad there aren't more people like stormspell who are willing to re-release product by relatively obscure bands, until we can get the music we want we have a choice , you can buy the boot or go without......neither option is satisfying....

  7. Parvinder and Habib are pandhandlers...

They panhandle in different areas of New York.

Habib panhandles just as long as Parvinder but only collects 2

    to 3 dollars every day.

Parvinder brings home a suitcase FULL of $10 bills, drives a

Mercedes, lives in a mortgage-free house and has a lot of money to spend.

Habib says to Parvinder "I work just as long and hard as you do

but how do you bring home a suitcase full of $10 bills every day?".

Parvinder says, .... "Look at your sign, what does it say"?

Habib's sign reads 'I have no work, a wife and 6 kids to

    support'."

Parvinder says " No wonder you only get $2-3 dollars"

Habib says... "So what does your sign say"?

    Parvinder shows Habib his sign......

It reads, "I only need another $10 to move back to Pakistan".

  8. Where does he say it's from his personal collection? I don't see this anywhere in the auction.

    -Dan

Up in the "item location" section if I re-call correctly.

Yeah, In the item location it say's "From my collection" but it also states that the Country of origin of the CD is Japan

His feedback is excellent with no one complaining, only praising.

I lot of buyers would not recognize a boot if it kicked them in the ass ...ahem this includes me unless it is a badly done boot, so good feedback is almost meaningless where boots are concerned...

  9. Two Ebay sellers, Nitro music and Selling on Adrenalin (or similar names), are the same people who run the NuclearHell website. They sell Baltic State CDs. Personally, I have no problem with that, having bought a good number of CDs from them in the past. Generally, the prices are lower, the quality is good, and often there are bonus tracks that are not available in the states. I am more interested in the music than where the CD is from.

I know there are many on this board who would disagree with me because they are collectors or because they have problems with the legality of these CDs (especially artists like Blue Charvel), but that is where I stand at this time.

Personally, if the item listing says "import," but does not say where it is from, suspect that it is one of these CDs. If it says "Eastern European import," it IS a Baltic State CD. When in doubt, email the seller.

    I agree 100%.....
