  1. XXX State of the Union.....silly stuff....the 1st one was better...
  2. This is a very good song IMO... Is there a cd?
  3. Rydell and Quick - R.O.A.D.T.R.I.P Crime - Hard Times Hardcore Superstar - Bad Sneakers and a Pina Colada Last AutumnĀ“s Dream - II Steele - Tricks up my Sleeve Bullet Train Blast - Nothing remains
  4. Blade - Trinity.....I thought it was as good as the previous 2..... Mission To Mars......decent scifi flick.... The Undefeated......John Wayne classic
  5. I like it and will be buying the release for sure......I know I'm in the minority on this but I prefer their later music to the older stuff....while I liked their music, it wasn't until "Into The Now" that they really got my attention...
  6. you can stop with that one and not bother with the rest I like the second and third films, they're mindless fun ... the fourth one leaves me cold, though ... I hope if they decide to make another one that they come up with a decent script (and cast!) I enjoyed them all....and I seem to remember hearing that there are supposed to be 2 more coming....
  7. Decent sounding glam/hard rock band....
  8. Aside from casting a big bald black guy instead of a big bald white guy as The Kingpin, "Daredevil" was remarkably faithful to the comic series, which is unusual for a comic book film. The only real problem I had with that flick (aside from its reliance on irritating, watery wanna-be goth rock like Evanescence on the soundtrack) was that it was too damn dark. Yeah, I know, most of it took place at night, so it's supposed to be dark, but I swear that the nighttime scenes were so under-lit that sometimes It was hard to see what the f*ck was going on onscreen Oh yeah, I vividly remember the outcry when Keaton was announced as the new Batman in '89. Of course we didn't have the Internet then, but if you walked into any comic book store around that time you were bound to overhear someone saying, "the guy from BEETLEJUICE? What the F*CK?" Haha. Up until that point Keaton was known as a comedic actor, nobody thought he could cut it. ...then the movie came out and we all had to swallow our pride and admit that dammit, he actually did a pretty decent job. If Keaton can do it then anyone can do it besides the guy has a mask on for half of the movie anyway....the writing and directing is more important IMO...
  9. That Garden of Chaos release is excellent and my fav of his solo stuff....probably the best thing he has done....IMO
  10. Faster.....one of the Rocks' better movies IMO...I find he is much better when he doesn't talk much
  11. Doh! My message was aimed at Karpet, but for some reason I thought I was replying to you. Must be your inextricable link to the Movies thread; Funny thing is - I wondered about exactly the thing you mentioned while I was watching it, i.e. "surely no one who isn't English is going to udnerstand what these guys are saying"? I didn't have a problem with the accents, but I'm sure that's the reason they're making an American version. When the TV sreries 'Taggart' was sold to American audiences, it had to be subtitled 'cause no-one could understand the Glaswegian accents I'm not sure it lasted too long across the pond ... I don't find the accents to be difficult to understand but then again I watch a lot of British tv shows....Taggart has the occassional word that I miss but that's it...
  12. Yep, sounds like a keeper......
  13. I agree the music is decent but those death metal vocals just kill it for me....
  14. It's an excellent release and gets semi regular airplay from me....
  15. Random Hearts.....not bad, not really my kind of film but I was interested to the end....
  16. The Brothers Grimm......decent time waster, although I did find the characters more irritating than they needed to be....
  17. The Road is a dark film, but I enjoyed it quite a bit. Probably the most realistic depiction of a post-apocalyptic world. As for the Horatio Hornblower series, I haven't seen those in ages. I quite enjoyed those, as well. Actually I believe you are thinking about a relatively new series on Hornblower. Peck only acted in this one movie about Hornblower and it came out in 1951...and yes the Road was realistic but is was still very depressing stuff...
  18. Agreed...both NCIS shows work for me.... Yeah Donald Bellisiario is a master at casting his shows, I mean go back to J.A.G. if you actually start watching the show, you do notice above average writing, but it would be nothing without a cast that had chemistry, and tell me he didn't know what he was doing when he used J.A.G. as a backdoor spinoff for NCIS! the episodes Ice Queen & Meltdown, which introduced us to the cast of NCIS, were masterfully done, the same way NCIS was used to spinoff NCIS LA, and then after they get going, he just fine tunes the casts, and seems to have it perfect, you know the double episode for NCIS LA, which was being used to spin off NCIS RED, was an attempt by Shane Brennan to do what Don Bellisiario had done, and we saw how quick that was cut the fuck off, proving it's not just something anyone can do, I personally saw some fucking awesome potential in NCIS RED, but I could tell it was not cast right, but it was a killer idea to take a new NCIS spinoff, in an almost cartoon like direction, with the 2 giant state of the art semi's that pull side to side, and transform into a huge command center, now that was fucking tits, but such a weak cast they used, you knew it was never going to get picked up, but Brennan kind of fucked Bellisiario on LA, that was their falling out, I hope they recast RED, and try again, it could be the king mutha to all the NCIS shows, but really JAG was the shit, and hard to beat.in my worthless opinion anyways. Yeah I really liked JAG...and the RED spinoff didn`t work for me at all....while I wouldn`t mind seeing a third NCIS, it is possible to overexpose these shows like they did with the CSI series.....
  19. The Road......depressing The Gift.....quite good The Siege....decent actioner Blade II.....decent Captain Horatio Hornblower....another Gregory Peck classic....
  20. Not bad and maybe it's just me but there seems to be a lot of bands with this sort of sound....
  21. That isn't bad but I would need to hear more....
  22. Another cd that I've not seen anywhere for a reasonable price.....actually I haven't seen it at all...
