These guys formed in British Columbia, Canada. To my knowledge they only ever released this one album which didn't sell very well at the time. I'm not sure how to describe them other than to say this is just really nice sounding 80's rock. I think the CD is a little hard to find but if you see it I'd recommend picking it up.
Singer Scott Acomba started a new project called Satsuma in 1999 and released a CD titled 'Hello My Name Is' which I have yet to hear.
Anyone else heard this album?

Keith Urban is not your typical country artist. I prefer to think of his music as 'Country AOR'. Awesome stuff that I feel would appeal to quite a few Melodic Rock / AOR fans.
Avoid his two self titled albums from 1991 and 1999. Instead start with 'Golden Road' from 2002.
Golden Road (2002)
Be Here (2004)
Love, Pain & the Whole Crazy Thing (2006)
Defying Gravity (2009)

State Cows - S/T
Keith Urban - Be Here
I see you've been getting in to the Keith Urban discs Jez. Good to hear. He has some excellent tunes. Make sure you pick up 'Golden Road' as well and everything from that point on. Wouldn't bother with his older discs from the early 90's though.

Only thing I can see is that there will be a 2nd disc (DVD). Waste of money IMO.
"The Second disc in this highly sought after re-release is a never-before-released dvd which features a live show from The Troubadour, some live footage from The Whiskey, and behind the scenes footage from the bands apartment and from their pyro show." - FNA Records

Wonder if it could be this one? Not really my cup of tea, very lite AOR, but seems highly regarded all round:
The new Moritz is a great album but loses a lot of points on its poor production/sound quality. Some great songs though.

I wonder if this Nirvana actually had any good songs
Check the YouTubes shown above. Not exactly my "thang" but I could see how fans of the Doors, early Pink Floyd, etc. woulda grooved on that stuff.
Yeah definitely agree, some people would love this stuff. Not for me though.

Interesting. I didn't know that either. I wonder if this Nirvana actually had any good songs cus Cobains Nirvana sure didn't. Harsh I know but I seriously think they were over rated.

Does anyone own the Rock Reports Melodic Rock Bible series. 4 parts I believe. Just wondering if it is worth buying.

Seems like a very odd choice for a re-issue. Hard to believe actually. I thought this band was quite unknown except in these small AOR circles.
Still, great news if it's true. As long as its not a dodgy TimeWarp re-issue.
Keep us posted if you hear any more Lindsay.

Joshua Kadison's first album had a bunch of great songs as mentioned. But I was not a fan of his 2nd album which from memory changed style and sounded a bit almost gospel like in parts.

I'm not a huge fan of bootlegs other than Whitesnake and snake related stuff but still this is a pretty interesting listen. The keyboards always seem more a part of Bon Jovi when you hear them live.

Is Line of Fire - Momentum a brand new album. How does it compare to the debut? I only got the debut recently and I'm really enjoying it. AOR fans should check it out if they haven't already.
yes it's their long delayed second album. if you want my completely biased, but honest opinion. it blows away the first album.
you can preview a track here. OBSESSION MP3
on monday we begin airing Momentum webisodes in which the band discusses various aspect of it's creation. you will be able to view on our website, facebook and you tube pages.

Yeah this was a very strange set of events. I was shocked to say the least when I switched on the TV this morning. Like Geoff said, the public had to vote for K Rudd so how is it that Julia gets in without any public vote. I understand it's the party we vote for, but we also vote for the party leader. I didn't mind Kevin but he was on a downward spiral lately and I don't think he would have won the next election anyway. As for Julia, to be honest I don't have a problem with her either (yet). But those duds who run the Liberal party, that's who I despise.

Michael Gleeson - Children of Choices
Killer album! The Elefante Bros. are geniuses.
You should also check out Mark Pogue if you haven't already....
Yeah I bought the Michael Gleeson disc based on some good reviews at the main site.
I've taken your advise and just purchased Mark Pogue - Restoration. I'll let you know what I think.
Cheers.

Yeah I've seen this sell for high prices as well. I certainly wouldn't classify this as High Tech AOR, though I can see how it might get lumped into that category. To me this is a pop-rock album which might appeal to AOR fans who don't mind it being at the softer end of the spectrum but I can't hear any of that "Hi Tech" stuff going on.
