Did Rock Candy re-issue Coney Hatch - Friction or just the first two albums? If not has anyone heard if they plan to?
-
There are some nice melodic rock & AOR releases coming out on this label. Good to see.
-
Still no prices?
No, I haven't seen any prices yet.

Due for release on September 2.
There's a ton of songs from the Jukebox featured on the bands website, sounds like this will be an awesome collection of music to buy.
-
I've got two of their albums - Fugitive '83 and Midnight Flight '84.
I'll have to dig them up and remind myself what they sound like.
-
Option 4 - probably around 2500 CD's, among them maybe 100 that I would quite happily part with in trades or sell on E-Bay. I'm working on cutting the collection back but there's just too damn many awesome new releases every month that I can't resist. I certainly don't try to collect everything from a band/genre though. If it sucks I try to get rid of it.

Yeah I picked up this album last week. 'Grace' is obviously one of the stand out tracks but I also really liked 'Fire on the Mountain', 'In Your Light' and 'Drink (Everlasting Love)'. Only 2 spins so far, so hopefully some of the other tracks will grow on me too.

Hey Justin, I assume you're loving the new tune, 'Love the fall', with the Veronicas? I just downloaded about a dozen of his songs last night and slapped them on my Ipod. Some very nice stuff there, especially the stuff off the new 'Love the Fall' EP. Great choruses.
Actually I wasn't aware that an EP had been released...I haven't been checking on his MySpace page much.
Just listened to 'Love the Fall' though and its a great song. I'll check out his other new songs soon. Do you know if a proper EP will be released or just an itunes download?

Pretty mellow stuff, but sounds good and I would like to see a new solo album from Torben. His last album 'A Bit On the Side' had some great tracks.

Out of curiosity, does anybody know what these boxes are worth? 10,000 of em were made back in 2001. Apparently there's a hidden CD under the box. You have to remove some screws to reveal it. There's supposed to be some other nifty little tricks about it as well. Sounds kinda cool. Even though I'm not a huge fan of guitar virtuosity type stuff I do like Steve Vai. He was awesome to see live as well.

Vinnie Vincent - Invasion
Gemini Five ~ Black Anthem
Kelly Keagy ~ Time Passes
Four Year Strong ~ Enemy of the World
Foreigner ~ Unusual Heat
It's Alive ~ Human Resources
'It's Alive' is that the Swedish band that had a S/T and Earthquake Visions? I've not heard of 'Human Resources' before except that they're a department at my work that fucks everything up.

Cool story. Nick do you actually own one of these EP's yourself?

Fuck this shits me !!!!!!
Why extra tracks on the European and not the US release !!!!!!
I think my Amazon pre order is about to be cancelled and I will wait and get the European release
Heart - Red Velvet Car
Heart will be releasing their 13th studio effort ‘Red Velvet Car’ on Sony Legacy Records on August 31, 2010 in North America (August 30 in Europe.) Included on the European release are two extra tracks called “Bootful of Beer” and “Closer to the Sun.”
Order cancelled
Re-ordered through Amazon UK
I'm finding with all major new releases now days, it pays to just wait until all version have been released and choose the one with the best bonus tracks. It really sucks that two fans fork out the same amount of cash for a CD while one gets (for example) a standard 12 track version and the other gets 14 or more tracks and extra liner notes.

Agreed, I don't mind digipacks but the 7th Heaven ones are shit. I hope they just stick with jewel cases.
Extremely unlikely.
That many jewel cases will drive up the weight of the box set considerably, even if they are slimline or multi-CD jewel cases.
If I were a betting man, I'd guess individual cardboard sleeves or multi-CD digipaks.
-Dan
Very true Dan, 25 jewel cases would weigh a ton!
-
I hope this is not going to be a digibook holding 200 CD's .... !
The quality of the ones for "Silver" and "U.S.A. ..." is crap.
Agreed, I don't mind digipacks but the 7th Heaven ones are shit. I hope they just stick with jewel cases.

Yeah I picked up this one a while ago, have to agree one of RR's best releases.
-
I've got an album called 'Grand Finale' - same band? I seem to re-call they had some pretty cool tunes though the sound was very much demo quality.
-
Here's a few goodies:
GTS - Tracks From the Dustshelf - Endless
Wild Frontier - Thousand Miles Away
Mike Reno - Take Me Back / Still In Love Alone
Perfect Strangers - Still the One / Broken Heart
Bobby Kimball - All I Ever Needed / Til Tomorrow
And don't forget Bob Halligan and John Parr.

Happy bday banger man!
-
Great disc, still surprised though!
-
Yeah nice one Jez. I always pay attention to your posts, like Glen, I've learned quite a bit from them and discovered some really cool bands too.
-
Thanks for the birthday wishes guys!
It was an awesome day! Finished off by stuffing my face with some nice dishes at a Thai Restaurant. Back to work tomorrow though.

I'm looking for the Japanese bonus track 'Didn't Know It Was Love' from Zar's 1993 album 'From Welcome... To Goodbye'.
I'm not keen on paying $50 just to have the Japanese pressed CD so I'm hoping there's a cool person around here who can share it.
It's a pretty cool album BTW for those who haven't heard it.

Avalon: The Richie Zito Project
in AOR and Hard Rock

I thought the Eric Martin and Philip Bardowell tracks were quite good. 'I Can't Forget You' is a wonderful track and my favourite on the album. The Joseph Williams track 'Oh Samantha' is quite nice as well.
