Looks like someone dropped the ball on this one.

    C'mon Whiplash. You're better than this.   ;)

Here ya go...Lust Boys - Tall Glasses and Short Skirts CD. Heavy Harmonies Discography

In all seriousness, if you guys pick up or run across a release that you think deserves to be heard, posting about it here on the forum is cool, but you're most likely going to get 20-30 sets of eyes on it at best, whereas if you submit it to the main site as well, there are currently 8-10,000  visits every month.

  2. Journey - Live in the Neon Babylon (2019 bootleg featuring Jeff Scott Soto on vocals)

Yep, that's Arnel Pineda, not JSS, on the cover

    81n2xYcf95L._SL1380_.jpg

    From the liner notes:

Following Journey s lengthy hiatus between 1987 & 1995, they re-united under new management, signing with Irving Azoff, long-time Eagles manager in late 95. Trial by Fire, released in 1996, included the hit single When You Love a Woman , which was nominated for a Grammy the following year, marking a new period of success in the group s fortunes, although vocalist Steve Perry left the band in 1998, after discovering the presence of a medical condition.

Perry was replaced by Steve Augari, who performed with Journey through to 2006, when he was dropped by the group mid-tour. For nearly a year, Jeff Scott Soto from Talisman (and previously vocalist on Yngwie Malmsteen s first two albums) filled in with the band for several months, who referred to him as their official lead singer.

By the time the group performed at the Reno Events Center, in Reno, NV, on 3rd September 2006, Soto was already in place, and proved a stunning new lead singer, as the recording featured on this CD from the aforementioned show attests.

Broadcast live on local FM radio, this remains perhaps Journey s finest live performance from their later years, featuring as it does the extraordinary vocal abilities of a man who stayed with Journey little more than a year, yet remains fans favourite Journey singer, save for the legend that remains Steve Perry.

  3. There ya go: For My Addiction - Addiction CD. Heavy Harmonies Discography

For My Addiction - formerly known as ''Addiction'' - is a hard rock/heavy rock band, formed on April 2014 in Athens,Greece.

FMA was formed when lead singer/rhythm guitarist Vaine and bassist Nikotinn left their previous band, and along with drummer Chris Rox they decided to form a new band and create the music that has always been there, ringing in their heads.Lead guitarist Costas Varras joined later on but for personal reasons he left the band a few months later, and was then replaced by lead guitarist Rizzy.

For My Addiction's main influences are hard and punk rock bands from the 80's and 90's and it's music is a mix of a modern hard n' heavy sound with glam and punk elements.

On June 1, 2015 , FMA self-released it's debut album 'Addiction' , and managed to gain many positive reviews from European and American press.

FMA had it's first ever live appearance on September 6, 2015 opening for the German heavy metal band Bonfire, at Kyttaro Live Stage in Athens,Greece.

Few more shows in Greece followed and on February 27, 2016 FMA had the honour to participate in Sleaze Festival, which took place at Matrix Venue in Bochum,Germany , opening for some great bands such as Kissin' Dynamite, Toxic Rose and The Cruel Intentions.

On June 11, 2016 , For My Addiction shared the Metronum's stage in Toulouse,France with French power metal band Manigance, leaving good impressions and a promise to return in France the soonest possible.

While the band is now focusing on the next album, which is said to be released by the end of 2016, FMA is also planning some more shows in Europe to grow the band's fan base and let the world know and listen to FMA's music.

    Spirit Of The Moonrise

Okay, am I the only one who is wondering if David Paich is a fan of Night Flight Orchestra? The song title, the lyrics, the orchestration, that chorus!... this song would not be the least bit out of place on a NFO release. Or maybe it's just me. :ninja:

Regardless, LOVE IT! And Forgotten Toys is quite good, just wish it was a full 10-12 song release.

  5. From Steve’s FB page:

This is the hardest thing I’ve ever had to write but it’s with a heavy & shattered heart to say that my beloved Steve died suddenly & unexpectedly on Monday 15th August.

Wait for me my love. Until we are together again. Your Millie xxx

(The family appreciate all the messages we’ve had so far but ask that you allow us to morn).

Garbage is way outweighing the cool/decent stuff. No wonder nobody clicks these threads.

Harsh. While I'm not going to run out and purchase anything from Perpetual Etude based on what I've heard, they're certainly not "garbage". There's someone out there who will appreciate almost any band around; I mean shit, there are people who listen to songs about necrophilia, cannibalism, and bestiality and think it's just great, sooooo...

  8. Folk, Prog, AORish.... however you wanna categorize them, these are some of the best vocal harmonies I've heard in forever.

Lots of comparisons to Crosby, Stills & Nash in the YT comments

Figure this should appeal to some here.... :P

“Troika“, combining the immense talents of Nick D’Virgilio (Big Big Train), Neal Morse (Transatlantic) and Ross Jennings (Haken), initially began with Morse writing some acoustic songs he thought would be enhanced by strong vocal harmonies. After reuniting with former Spock’s Beard bandmate Nick D’Virgilio, the duo specifically sought out Jennings to complete the trio (all of whom contributed material to the project).
Recorded during lockdown, D’VIRGILIO, MORSE & JENNINGS delivers melodic acoustic-filled anthems, charged rockers and sensitive ballads – all part of the mix – and the unique blend of the three voices and styles have created an album in which you will encounter these musicians in a way you’ve never heard before.

Are you a fan of acoustic rock from the ‘70s with a touch of classic rock thrown in? If so, you’re going to absolutely love ”Troika”. This mostly-acoustic rock offering spends the first half bathing you in Crosby, Stills, and Nash-like acoustic pop rock full of fabulous multi-part lead vocal harmonies while the second half throws in some Hendrix meets Styx meets Foreigner classic rock to up the attitude.

It’s such a fine record that the masses need to hear, and while the super-group last name approach will work fine for prog rock diehards, it just doesn’t roll off the tongue for the people who will really enjoy this record the most – regular lovers of vocal harmony-rich classic rock. Heck, even calling the band Troika would have been simpler.

This is one of those delightful albums that has soothing melodic wonders and ripping, ‘70s-vibe classic rock tunes, and there truly isn’t a weak link in the 12-song collection. If you’re one of those people complaining that they just aren’t making great rock albums like they used to, you’ll want to grab a copy of this CD as soon as it’s released.
    Highly Recommended
