Man, how great was that Bad Company debut? Damn thing is more or less a Greatest Hits package right off the bat.
On the flip side, I remember being so disappointed when I picked up Rocka Rolla thinking it was gonna be some British Steel style Judas Priest. 😜
-
So I guess they started moving in a more melodic direction with 2018's Play to Win? Prior to that, everything I'd heard from them was speed/straight metal (and not really that good IMO), so I stopped paying attention to them. 🤷 New stuff is pretty good.

A cover that for some damn reason I really like 😜

BLUE ÖYSTER CULT
Announce Studio Album 'Ghost Stories' due Out April 12th via Frontiers Music SrlBLUE ÖYSTER CULT is eagerly gearing up for an exciting new chapter in their storied career with the upcoming release of 'Ghost Stories.' This highly anticipated album marks a fitting finale to the recording legacy of one of rock’s most iconic fixtures from the past 50 years.
BLUE ÖYSTER CULT is set to captivate fans with a collection of reimagined and newly completed songs that span from 1978-2016. These musical treasures, long considered 'lost gems' by BLUE ÖYSTER CULT enthusiasts, were originally recorded between 1978 and 1983, except for one track from 2016, "If I Fell." Also included is the only known studio recording of their concert classic “Kick Out the Jams” (MC5 cover). Some of the material is from sessions workshopping material for an album, some is from performance rehearsals.George Geranios, the band's original audio engineer co-produced the original 1978-83 recordings along with BÖC. All were originally recorded on reel-to-reel analog tape. They were later transferred to digital audio, which is when modern AI and magical musical talents met and the collection of vintage multi-track recordings was de-mixed, re-mixed, and produced by Steve Schenck and Richie Castellano to become 'Ghost Stories.' The two explain the album's amazing process HERE:
https://youtu.be/IzjxgU6OcPIWork in the studio for the album was completed by Richie Castellano along with remaining original members Eric Bloom and Donald “Buck Dharma” Roeser, both Albert Bouchard and Rick Downey appear on drums with additional overdubs recorded by Joe Bouchard. All these original lineup members appearing on 'Ghost Stories,' create a musical journey that traverses decades.
To celebrate this exciting announcement, the band shares the single "So Supernatural" along with a new music video that has a super cool blend of classic rock and modern AI.

I just logged out, logged in a test account, replied to this post, and nowhere was I prompted with any CAPTCHA or other anti-bot functionality.
Is anyone else seeing this behavior, or is this just the civilized world's way of keeping Aussies at arm's length?
Actually, yes. Last night around appx 1:30 am EST I clicked on a thread to read, and was prompted to “Prove You’re a Human” by clicking on all the pics with bags 💼 in them. I managed to get them all on the first try and was allowed to proceed. I didn’t attempt to post anything. Dozed off before being able to post anything about it. 🤔

Interesting, it’s actually listed in the HH database as 74 (gotta fix that). Maybe whoever submitted it back in the day had a Freudian slip due to Teenage Lament 74 being one of the songs. 😜

@heavyharmonies Another one right up yer alley

I was coming here to post this and tag you! 😂
I normally run from anything with the screaming/growling, but this ain’t bad at all. 👍

Aerosmith - Get Your Wings
Bad Company - S/T
Blue Oyster Cult - Secret Treaties
David Bowie - Diamond Dogs
Alice Cooper - Muscle Of Love
Deep Purple - Burn
Deep Purple - Stormbringer
The Eagles - On the Border
Elf - Carolina County Ball
Judas Priest - Rocka Rolla
KISS - S/T
KISS - Hotter Than Hell
Gordon Lightfoot - Sundown
Lynyrd Skynyrd - Second Helping
Montrose - Paper Money
Queen - II
Queen - Sheer Heart Attack
The Rolling Stones - It's Only Rock n Roll
Rush - S/T
Scorpions - Fly To The Rainbow
Steely Dan - Pretzel Logic
Supertramp - Crime of the Century
The Sweet - Sweet Fanny Adams
Thin Lizzy - Nightlife
Robin Trower - Bridge of Sighs
U.F.O. - Phenomenon
I was a mere 2 years old when these came out, so it was years later before I would hear and experience the awesomeness of many of these.
My personal faves would be Bad Company, both Deep Purples, and the KISS debut.
What are your faves? What did I leave out that you love?

Meh, decent I guess. I feel like they missed a real opportunity in the vid by not giving the alien guitarists at least 3 breast each! 👽 😂

Gotta say, after the awesomeness that was 2018's Firepower, I've been pretty much underwhelmed by these new songs. 😕
-
Love these guys, but this is probably one of their lesser songs, and that screaming shit around the 4 minute mark needs to be a one time thing. 😒

The Piano Man returns. Reportedly, this track was originally being considered for Adele, but Billy decided to record it himself. 👍 -

At the risk of sounding like an idiot (what's new), I can't see anything odd about the first one.
What am I missing?
2112 is a Rush album, and YYZ is a Rush song

Solid tune, and a nice tribute to Marcel. Definitely wouldn't mind some new Talisman. 😎

First single, "Legendary", releases in March...
I always tend to get at least a little excited when a new Bon Jovi album is announced, but the last nearly 30 years have not been kind. As has been noted already, they have the occasional killer tune, but for the most part, it's been one disappointment after another. "These Days" was their last release that I thoroughly enjoy.

Very nice. This band has definitely raised their game since bringing former China frontman Eric St. Michaels aboard. I’ll be picking this one up. 👍
