  1. Hello all,

I was asked to start a separate thread by the powers that be, rather than always chiming in on Daves posts. So.... I would like to know, who has NOT received their pre-ordered releases from Suncity Records??? I do hear they are nice but....damn.....2 months and counting.....4 bands signed, 2 pre-orders & one cd shipped.....and again.... I am still waiting......

  2. still waiting on mine.........

Let me be one of the first to congratulate David Moors on putting out a fine product in the way of his first release on Suncity Records. I have received the Blue Tears release and it is one helluva nice piece.

Excellent mulit-page booklet complete with liner notes by Greg Fulkerson...* I believe*.....along with nice photos of the band, etc.

Silver pressed cd...with a very nice 'heat sealed' cd label.

The tunes are excellent quality....and I have been enjoying the hell out of them!!

A big thumbs up for Suncity Records' first release!!

    Congrats David!

  3. This is the best post of the day.....I couldn't agree more Brian! :)

I think its a great thing to have all this music now coming out and available to everyone.  Retrospect is new and we should give it a chance.  This site is supposed to be about the music.  And the music is what brought everyone here.  Let's hope both retrospect and Suncity along with the other indie lables can keep bringing us the music we so love.  And we can all Keep Rocking!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  4. James Arwine has more emergencies than anyone on the planet! He always has an excuse why he can't pay, and it is always a month delay, I have some folks who need a week, and that is fine, but a month is crazy. He probably doesn't make enough money to support his habit of buying cd's, but can't stop himself from bidding. crazy dude!

Here is his original e-mail at me:

SKELETON CREW - GRIND THE ENAMEL

    Item number: 4729431702

TAINTED ANGEL / SAY A PRAYER

    Item number: 4729431842

Hello....MEGA apologies for not getting in touch before now....I have been out of town and just got back this morning...I will not be able to pay for the cd(s) I won from you on ebay until sometime in mid/late June.....and I WILL pay you...I have some important financial issues right now that need taken care of namely my trans going out in my vehicle while out of town, and having a huge towing bill and repair bill....and need some more time to pay you....please advise as to whether or not this time frame is acceptable to you...thanks!

This Guy is really funny!!! :anon:

  5. Just so you guys know I am not just picking on Canadians, I do hold in very high regard, zacharyamelie and koogles, I have done tons of business with them, as they are 2 of the greatest sellers on ebay, and really just 2 of the good guys, very friendly, and always helpful. If that dope "relayrecords" was even half as good as these guys maybe folks would finally pay for their auctions, although that does not always work since I did pay and got zilch anyway........... :P

Getting nasty boys.  All of you are great sellers, great buyers and rock music experts.  Time to put this topic to rest.

Can you tell I'm a grade school teacher?

  6. I thought you weren't going to reply to this thread any more??

interesting the comment you made, "why on earth would I turn away business by adding people to my BBL when I am selling to make money?"

    .............hmmmm.........why indeed.........

no problem here, with my contacts, I can find anything you have or have had for sale, but it is baffling to me how you select who is good enough to bid on your auctions...........

My final comment-I am happy to take anybody's money thats why I sell...all non paying bidders go on my BBL-I haven't time to chase after people for money.I've got dozens of repeat customers all over the world, and even offer free postage to them....and yes I have had more than once people with supposedly perfect feedback well into the hundreds stiff me-rant rave say what you like its a free country...but nobody would wind up on my BBL if THEY HAD PAID....

I'm not going to keep replying to this specific issue-I have Cds to sell and for anybody reading this, why on earth would I turn away business by adding people to my BBL when I am  selling to make money?

Koogles and mbutt best of luck to you-and I do mean that.Life is too short to hold a grudge or keep going over old issues that in the grand scheme of things  really don't matter...

  7. Hey Koogs, don't sweat being on relays blocked bidder list, I am sure I am too, but get this, he even blocks those that pay. I paid for a cd some time back that I won from him, and after getting the ok to send payment a week later, he refunded the $10 I paid for the cd and put me on his blocked bidder list. I am sure he got a better offer for it right after the auction ended and sold it out from under me. no problem, I picked it up even cheaper later. if you really need something from him, just have one of your many friends win it and send it to ya. there is always ways around dudes like this! That might be a little round a bout but he gets his cash, and you get your cd, which is what would happen if he did not have everyone on his list anyway!

    :D

Well, Relay, if you are truly the gentlemen you say you are, why didn't you give me the common courtesy of a reply email? Still not sure why you are reducing your chances of higher auction end prices by blocking the bids of a 99.8% positive feedback eBayer who's into AOR and hard rock.

  8. not sure if that is dave or not, but dave lives in Ranson WV, so unless he moved it must be a coincidence. Also the titles are similar but dave did not list as much info about the artist on his auctions, and he used to list 1000's of cd's a week, that guy only has 43 items, I don't think it's dave, but I have been wrong before, lol.

if you have noticed a new guy called professordark has appeared on ebay based out martinsburg wva.  his stock prices and shipping costs all resemble davesmetal.  so far 100% feedback since february 2005.  contact info

ML Productions, LLC" PO Box 2811, Martinsburg, WV 25402

perhaps he bought out dave or it is dave or it someone else altogether

  9. yes, I remember him, he used to out bid me all the time, lol, seems to me I did a search on him way back then, to see what he had won lately, (doesn't everyone do that?), and he had just changed his user id, but I don't remember what he changed it to. he very well could be bidding currently on the same stuff, but with a different name. if I remember what the user id was I will let ya know. you are right though, he was buying everything under the sun that had to do with AOR or melodic rock, I would love to have him bidding on my stuff now, lol.

Does anyone else remember this ebayer who used to buy thousands of AOR and Hard Rock titles back in 1999 and 2000?? This guy was one of my best customers and would pay outrageous prices for cd's. You could put AOR on a Barry White cd and he would buy it!! He must have a HUGE collection because he was buying AND paying for tons and tons of cd's!!

So my question for everyone is -- do any of you remember him and whatever happened to this guy?? He could possibly have the largest CD collection in the world!!

  10. I took a look at his auctions and his terms are 10 times as long as his info about the particular cd. But he also has some legitimate points, there are so many bidders who are running all over ebay and bidding then just disappear, seems like a new kind of hobby for some. Also, there are alot of people that complain about prices, saying things are not worth what someone is asking, but if someone can find something cheaper on amazon, that is cool, I would shop there. but when someone complains about a price, but knows there is no way in hell they can find the title at all, let alone at your price, then I have to agree with him, bid or don't , but don't waste time telling someone they want too much for a cd. if they are so easy to find, everyone would be selling them, thus comes a low price, but if something is just no where to be found, and someone wants it badly enough, they have to pay the asking price. all in all, his buy it now prices are very high, but his starting bid on alot of stuff is very reasonable, although he has some reserves on his stuff. like someone above said, there are collectors and there are bargain hunters, but there are also collectors who are bargain hunters, which I fall into that category myself, although I do drop some bucks on stuff I want, but alot of folks think because someone finds a rare cd in a $2 bargain bin, you should sell it to them for $3, or because a seller has a few of a title, they want the cheap price when in reality it is nowhere to be found besides a certian seller, ???? unless someone has just saved my life, I don't see where they should get the great deal, again, if certain cd's can be found so easily, save the cash and find them yourself, that is just common sense. just my opinion on the matter.

  11. Maybe a wall isn't a bad idea, like the one they had in Germany, but maybe on this wall, add a door! So folks can enter and leave of their own free will, LEGALLY!

not running through the sage brush and jumping in a van!

(I am closer to mexico than canada so I am refering to the mexican border, but border control is needed in my view.)

Thanks to a certain president very soon you may not be able to cross the border for whatever reason  :angryfire:

    :lame:

Hey, it wasnt me who recently proposed having passports for crossing to Canada and even mentioned maintaining a guarded border... What's next, building a wall?

I'm cutting it here coz it's a topic we can go till no end. Peace.

  12. wow JL, you should always send your packages with a tracking #, in the U.S. atleast, the international ones need to be registered. I always sent him stuff with a tracking #, I know he filed a claim against one of my friends in canada, claimed he did not get it, and there was not tracking #, and he got his cash back. People like this make me want to stop selling. just protect yourself in the future. and ban every id of his he has. that does not always work since he creates new ones, but I email anyone bidding on my stuff who is a new member, or with 10 or less feedback posts, regardless of how good it looks, if they don't get back to me, or it's him I cancell thier bids and block the user id. hope it works out.

    Michael

Guess what? This fucking loser paid for my cd's last month and has now filed a claim that he didn't receive them. I made the mistake of not using a tracking number (which I do on everything now) so he is probably going to get his $75 back. Is he still a registered user? If he is not, will Paypal take that into account? Thanks for the info!

  13. I actually got to meet her last summer, she was passing through southern Utah on vacation and met her and her sister. Great ladies, who love to rock! I would have to agree with you on 17, killer cd, got mine from Tim, THANKS TIM!!!  But I would have to disagree with you on hotboy, while I don't think it is the best indie out there. it does have it's place in my collection. everyone likes different stuff, thank goodness for that, if everyone liked the same thing we would all be listening to something crappy!

I love the picture on your posts. Who's the hot chick? :D

I don't know who this chick is but I love her! lol, I seen her selling her cd's last year on ebay, and she would pose with each one, topless, just covering each boob. I am sure she sold everything that she had, lol, I know I would buy from her!

  15. Great advice Greg, I for one will check out that warning list.

    Hi Michael,

Yes, we have run into this he-she (tonight's "The Shield" reference) on an auction awhile back and got the excuse of "the flu".  It is a shame because we have blackballed entire small communities due to folks like these.  A great source of reference on the deadbeats is Musicstack's warning list.  I usually check it before I will sell to suspicious people.

  16. I wanted to bump up my original post on this guy, I posted this quite a while ago. he is still at it! amazing.

Hey all, just wanted to give all the hard working sellers out there a little heads up on a really bad guy. His name is JAMES ARWINE (or as I like to call him,

AR-WHINE),  lol,  his address is :

    James Arwine

    68 North Main Street

    Apt. # 2

    Red Lion, PA 17356

    United States

this guy over the last few months has placed bids on my auctions, then either delayed in sending payment, usually 3 weeks, or has not paid altogether. He usually gets suspended from ebay, then creates a new account, then bids again, then gets suspended, etc, etc. his user id's on ebay are:

prouddad044, maintguy044, metallvr044 if you are selling on ebay, do yourself a favor and cancel this idiots bids, and block him from future auctions. I also recommend cancelling bids from anyone with a new account, kind of harsh but new accounts are too suspicious to me anymore.

Hope this helps someone from having to deal with this guy, I know I wish I would have been warned.

    Keep it hard!

    Michael

  17. This dude is crazy! (James Arwine) I have had numerous dealing with this guy, and even when he pays he is trouble. my last dealing with him, he bid on some of my auctions, (after I blocked his other half dozen id's, paid for half the stuff he won, left the rest unpaid), I made it real hard on him, I held the cd's he paid for and would not send them until he paid for the rest, I took forever to send his stuff, made him feel like he would never get it, then I sent them, delivery confirmation/insured so I knew he got them. Then once he got them he called me every name in the book and said he would never bid on my stuff again! FINALLY, he got the message! my last auction he stayed away. Every seller who values a quick response/payment should block this guy whenever they hear of a new id he is using. I have alot of friends who email me the minute they see his name on there auctions, I do the same, but its tough since he creates a new id every day. If you have heard him go off on one of his tantrums, it is something to behold! This dude is crazy!

This is the ugliest dead bidder I've ever seen.

3 months ago an idiot with id: redljma bought Znowhite CD off me for $30 and never came through with the payment (he got laid off, his dog died, his mom went to hospital, etc. etc.) At that point I checked his bidding activities and not surprisingly he had bid and won like 500+ CDs for more than $10,000 within 2 weeks  <_< ...you can guess the outcome... that's right - he got NARUed shortly after and I thought this was it...

Well, it wasnt... today someone called fentynja won one of my CDs - guess my nasty surprise when I relazied it is the same quack J ARWINE from Red Lion, PA 17356. This idiot registered again and went on new "shopping spree" - just go and see what he has bought for the last 2 weeks! Bummer!

So guys, be aware and if you see this joker bidding on your stuff - block list him immediately!

eBay ID: fentynja -  J Arwine - Red Lion, PA 17356 USA

    e-mail: fentynja@aol.com
