  1. I totally second that! I have traded with adriano often and actually just closed a trade deal the other day with him, he is one of the best out there. No question!!!

I just wanted to echo what Dan said about Adriano a while back. You can 100% trust that he is a great trader! I just completed my first trade with him & he is superb! Highly recommended! :)

    Thanks

    JL

  2. Well said, hsf!

Good luck JL.  I think we each have a right and responsibility to not only be good sellers, but diligent buyers as well.

Sellers can't go around thinking they can screw us around!  (See my thread about Nashville Rawk.  Hopefully I'll still get my stuff, but over 4 months is WAAAAAY too ridiculous!)

If it takes a little extra work on our parts to make sure that we each try to nail all the scammers out there, so be it.  We'll never get rid them all, but every one of them we catch will hopefully discourage one or two others from getting that bad.

  3. Yes, you can check what any one sells or buys via ebay, using the advanced search tab in the upper right hand part of the screen, on ebay, then click on find items by seller, then just type in the user's id and you can even check the box that says completed listings, they go back 30 days I think. good luck!

Hey folks, I'd hate to think that anyone who has been following the "Ronnie The Shitty Ebayer" saga has been bored with no updates. Well here's the latest. A tracer has been sent out to verify whether or not he has cashed the money order, which DUH.....pretty sure he has. Anyway, I have been talking to my post master who is going to get in touch with his post master (where he received the money order). It appears that since I have proof that he signed for the M.O. and that at some point I will know he cashed it, along with several slandering e-mails saying he never intended to send the cd anyway I have a case against him. Not to mention he got thrown off E-bay for it. I am also trying to contact the guy he screwed before me. Does anyone know where to go to see what Ronnie has sold of late?

This isn't even about the money anymore. I am going to do everything in my power to get this guy for fraud. He assumed I would let it ride, well he was wrong. I'm tired of these assholes screwing people out of their money. All we wanted was the cd's we paid for. How does he sleep at night?

    I'll keep you posted.

    Thanks

    JL

  4. He has just paid me for 3 different auctions/orders, so on my end things have worked out as well. I guess it is always smart to be careful.

When I originally bid he had 150++ positives at about 98% and then he screwed a heap of people at once under the name 'charlottecountycollectibles'.

I know... I was screwed and I contact all his other bidders at the time and they were screwed aswell

Probably needed a quick fix of $$$ so used ebay to do it.

I think his plan was to build up a decent reputation with some good feedback and then rip hundreds m aybe thousands of dollars from people before disapprearing and starting a new account.

He may have a new name with some good feedback, but as they say an old dog doesn't change his tricks!

Well just to update everyone......I got comfirmation that his money order was approved via Bidpay, so looks like i lucked out......Now he has bid on one of my ebay auctions, and i am cringing now........All i can do is hope for the best.......

    Later

  5. He won several of my auctions and paid via bidpay. no problem with this transaction with him. If there is any question with him, I would just hold his stuff until paid. Also, when sending him money, make sure it is traceable.

It may have been a while ago that I was ripped of by this loser, but being new to this board I thought I'd post my experience:

    Thomas Kerlyn / CharlotteCountyCollectibles

    Does anybody know this fu*cker?

He ripped me off about $US150 on ebay.

At the same time he ripped off about 6-7 other people because when I became suspicious I contacted a few of his other recent customers all of whom also were scammed.

At the time he had really good feedback, but suddenly went bad. Charlottecountycollectibles is no longer on ebay, but I alwasy keep an eye out.

I paid him for both original heart throb mob cds + pbf - bullets and

lipstick cd. I never received the cds and he never replied to emails.

    Thomas Kerlyn

    Port Charlotte, FL

    (941) 613-1652

    Ebay name: charlottecountycollectibles

If anyone has a spare thirty cents, ring

the above number at 3am in the morning and give him a mouthful for me.

  6. That is a good bit of info Del, thanks for posting it. 45 days now from paypal is really a big help, and the Ebay Resolution System sounds good too. thanks again!

    Michael

Just a thought........before you go posting negative feedback I have a suggestion.  If you paid for your CD with PAYPAL, I would file a complaint with them (you now have up to 45 days).  It has been my experience that those sellers that don't respond to your e mails suddenly wake up when PAYPAL tells them they are preparing to deduct X amount of cash from their account, or freeze their account pending an investigation!  They suddenly find time to communicate with you and.....if the deal has gone bad, at least you can recover your payment.

E Bay themselves also have a resolution system in place and you are covered for up to $200 if the seller fails to deliver or the product is substantially different that what was advertised in the auction.    You can follow this link to work through E Bay......http://pages.ebay.com/securitycenter/faq/itemnotreceivedprocess.html?ssPageName=CMDV:AB

I know you really have the urge to leave a nasty feedback, but for your own protection and to be sure, work the system.

  7. Storm, www-kissmydisc-com is PJ's account name and endangeredcds is Tony's/koogles account name, they do work together but seperate accounts and 2 different folks. 2 Very good guys who there is never any question about! hope that helps. Michael

I can't believe I got so overwhelmed that I  started  bidding without even paying attention to all the "fishy" factors mentioned above!! Hell ye it's a scam!!

I just did something I have never done in my life:retracted my bid. I was bidding on Surrender and was ready to go as far as...well doesn't matter now. That could be another good lesson for the future. Special thanks to one of the HH members for the friednly e-mail. I won't mention his/her name just because maybe he/she doesn't want to go public. If you are reading this message-THANK YOU SO MUCH.

I just got so overwhelmed, that I totally forgot: 10 rockers cannot be wrong.

And one more thing: even if you here something  from the guy who won one of those "rarities" still be careful-they might be playing together.

    Denis.

I think a lot of people got excited about that Sgt. Roxx Cd. I see that even PJ tried his luck on it too, and almost won it for $137... I'm a bit puzzled, though, as I always thought both www-kissmydisc-com & endangeredcds are his own aliases, but both were bidding on that auction, huh? Maybe I misunderstood and they are different persons?

  8. Hi Denis,

Glad you did not get ripped off, and also that all those auctions got cancelled. See what happens guys and gals when we all keep an eye out for each other? Good things happen, Denis, the folks on this board are good folks, so you can feel confortable in dealing with anyone on here, but if you have a question about someone, ask someone on HH, I am sure you will find out one way or another who is cool. Now not everyone will offer Surrender, Jillson, etc. but you can feel good about not losing your hard earned cash! take care!

    Michael

  9. your right Paulo, we don't have any proof so I just asked them to check out the site and make up their own mind. Unfortunatly it will take someone getting scammed before we will know, but by then someone will have thrown $500 or more down on surrender, let alone the rest. This just stinks, it has no sign of being legit, 3 day auctions, no paypal, mega rarities, no description, pics off of sites not his own. what I think he is going to do is take the cash from these folks, send out cd-r's then claim he did not state in the auction they were originals, hmmmmm.........

Somebody needs to warn those poor folks who are bidding on his stuff. Not sure if they will believe us but it seems like the right thing to do. If no one has already emailed them, I will try to contact them. I HATE SCAMS!!!!!!!!!

Hey Mike, well - yeah - maybe somebody should warn them, but bottom line is, we have no proof (yet) of what we're assuming, so it all comes down to common sence and some people ... well... have none

  10. I have emailed those that are bidding and directed them to view this discussion before going crazy with their bids. I am also in contact with "wearesocrazy" aka Steve, who won Sgt. Roxx from this guy a few days ago. but I am sure this person won't send anything out till his/her auctions end so no one can blow the whistle until it's too late. I take it personally when someone tries to scam any of us. If I am wrong with this I will apologize, but I don't think thats the case. More to follow......

  11. Just an update, James Arwine's current user id on ebay has been suspended! Now, we all need to be careful, this is when he creates a new user id, then bids all over the place. so far he has used prouddad044, maintguy044, metallvr044 these all have 044 at the end of them, so watch out for any id's using that. He could however make up something totally different, I think he might be that smart, not sure, LOL, anyway, all you sellers on ebay be watchful of who is bidding on your auctions, and you traders, watchout for JAMES ARWINE! thanks!

    Michael

Hey all, just wanted to give all the hard working sellers out there a little heads up on a really bad guy. His name is JAMES ARWINE (or as I like to call him,

AR-WHINE),  lol,  his address is :

    James Arwine

    68 North Main Street

    Apt. # 2

    Red Lion, PA 17356

    United States

this guy over the last few months has placed bids on my auctions, then either delayed in sending payment, usually 3 weeks, or has not paid altogether. He usually gets suspended from ebay, then creates a new account, then bids again, then gets suspended, etc, etc. his user id's on ebay are:

prouddad044, maintguy044, metallvr044 if you are selling on ebay, do yourself a favor and cancel this idiots bids, and block him from future auctions. I also recommend cancelling bids from anyone with a new account, kind of harsh but new accounts are too suspicious to me anymore.

Hope this helps someone from having to deal with this guy, I know I wish I would have been warned.

    Keep it hard!

  13. Here is an update on the Touris cd's:

I talked with Ryan at Metal Mayhem and he sees no difference with the original in question and his original from years back. also talked with one of the other bidders on the touris christmas cd, his is original and looks good. For me this closes the case, I have paid for mine today, and am excited to get it. just wanted to let you guys know. take care!

also, I agree with jlprocks, just because this guy was selling a radiator hose, and not cd's, does not alarm me at all. in fact, to me that makes him more legit, at least on the surface.

Mike, I was the one that made the smart-ass remark about the radiator hose. Sorry if I pissed you off with that - I really just thought it was kind of funny. :( Who knows, maybe the guy is a member of the band and moved to Vegas (and happened to have an extra radiator hose lying around)... :P

That was cute!!....and you're right, Chris....I was just laughing about the whole *in my best John Kerry voice* "This is a bootleg seller.....don't buy from him. I have a plan....I mean an original. Blah..blah...blah.." without all the chips being put on the table.

Hell...all I know is I sold MY original Touris about a year or so ago for like $65 to Ripper. In hindsight.....BIG MISTAKE!! LOL But....as happens, the HYPE for the cd wasn't as big back then and no one really knew of it...so it only garnered that much *although I knew I could have asked for a bit more*.

  14. Christine, no problem here, it is funny to see what other's sell, why in my early days I was selling rocks on ebay, yes, rocks, no shit. I took pictures of rocks from my area, and listed them on ebay. you would not believe the rock collectors that were emailing me, and buying them, now I did not make any cash really, but I see the humor. to my knowledge this guy is not in the band, but he is from NY and is living there now, he says he found the discs in vegas, but he is in NY, where the band is from. again, I am not defending the seller, but I just cannot find any "shady"aspects as of yet. more to follow.....

  15. also rnrfun, you are also wrong that this guy's previous feedback has nothing to do with music/cd's, the feedback comment left prior to metal mayhems, was regarding and AC/DC cd, so that was another incorrect statement you made. more FACTS to follow........

Also, I just noticed this guys third to the last feedback was left by another friend of mine, steve (rockcds4u2), and he was very happy with his purchase, their other touris cd, the chrismas disc. I am going to talk with Ryan, but this is sounding like a "witch hunt" to me. JLProcks may have been right, the conspiracy police are working overtime once again. but will confirm this with steve and ryan. more to follow.......

Well, I don't know if Ryan has opened it or what?  Or maybe he didn't have an original to compare it to...?  *BUT* I can tell you that I have seen an opened one from this seller, and it's a boot, unless the one I owned from around 1995 or 1996 is a boot, whcih I highly doubt...  Not to mention, this seller claims to have gotten many CD's from from a "Vending" show (notorious for boots, especially if all of a sudden there are many of a real rare CD that the band doesn't even have no more)...  What are the chances of a bunch of unopened Touris CD's ending up in Las Vegas, at a vending show?  Not to mention if he got so much music why is he only selling Touris CD's and that's it, nothing else, and previous feedback that doesn't have to do with music/CD's...!

    rnrfun,

I just placed a call to ryan, and emailed him as well, I know he just bought one from a different source than the guy on ebay, so yes he has some comparison available to him, I am not defending this guy either, but I also don't see the need to start looking for the "other guy" who shot kennedy like you seem to be doing, when your only proof is he has "extras" to sell and they are sealed??. I personally deal with some bands and get multiple copies of these so called rarities, but they are legit. bands often have extras around, or you can find several in a box from a seller who went out of business, or just put them aside, or whatever. the seller in question did tell me he only had 6 copies, this is not unheard of. I know folks who have stumbled across 5-10 copies of the big rarities, sealed, but lost to the world, until they discovered them. also, I have seen copies of cd's by bands in L.A. turn up in NY, or even farther away, like england. these bands were sending cd's all over the place when they were trying to make it, so it is no mystery to me that they would turn up anywhere. for example, by brother found a mint copy of FRICTION -BABY TALK in a small used cd store in colorado, the band is from Pennsylvania so you never know. I would like to know what ryan has to say about the cd he has left feedback for, and how it compares to his other touris cd. believe me, if I found out something strange I would not pay for the cd, and would shout it from the highest rooftop and let everyone know. but your "evidence" is based on assumption. you obviously have not ever got lucky and scored several rare cd's your self that no one else has, but let me tell you it is exciting. you said you had won the cd from this guy, what is your user id on ebay, so I can check to see you actually won it from this guy, and aren't just trying to damage his business?? where did you see one? did the seller email you a scan or what?? also, I agree with jlprocks, just because this guy was selling a radiator hose, and not cd's, does not alarm me at all. in fact, to me that makes him more legit, at least on the surface. bootleggers or sellers of boots tend to have others they boot, or have access to. so that is a bogus arguement. as soon as I hear from ryan I will respond. one more thing, you are wrong if you think the band does not have anymore of these cd's, I have talked with 2 bandmembers of Touris and they have more, but they know they are going for $200 a pop, so they don't want to give them away at the moment. when your arguement consists of "what are the chances of someone having this cd" you need to get more facts. thanks!
