  1. Tasha wasn't baneed, she was just annoying and much younger than most of us so she was pretty clueless and thought she was the little HH princess. I have no idea how she ended up here because she really didnt' know much about music other than mainstream stuff. One day she just disappeared... 2004 or 2005 maybe? Long time ago...
  2. Wow, I haven't been here in quite a while! Not that I don't love y'all, my headbanging buddies... but I spend more time on FB since it's easier with the phone app. Not on the PC or Mac much, now that I'm remarried & have a 6-yr old daughter - they keep me busy! But I'll try to come around more often. I miss the old gang and our song game (yes MJ, that means you! ) And as for "who the fuck is Tasha" - don't ask. She pissed a lot of people off!
  3. Passion Rules the GAME - Scorpions (Holy bejeezus, I can't believe this is still going after all these years!)
  4. None for me!!! Just because I was conceived in a trailer doesn't mean I was raised in one.
  5. For me, the Miami Animal Cops show is the worst. I watched it once or twice and recognized a lot of areas and it really didn't surprise me. The stray population there is staggering and many people (and I won't start pointing fingers and being un-PC) from other countries simply don't care for their animals. My mother was a vet assistant for a while for an emergency vet in a shitty neighborhood in North Miami, and the stuff that came into that vet's office would break your heart.
  6. A Great Friend and Lovely Woman...

  7. Not necessarily a movie, but it gets me every time. Remember the "Band of Brothers" series on HBO, and now they show it sometimes on the History Channel? Well, there's this one episode where Easy Company is going through some little town in Germany and finds something that resembles a POW camp. At first they're not really sure what's going on there, but then they get a look at the people inside and realize what they've found. Broke my heart the first time I saw it, and every time it was on after that, I had to just leave the room. Such a sad, painful scene...
  8. Wrapped Jessie's presents and stuck 'em under the tree. Feels kinda weird, since it's my first Christmas alone. Oh well, at least I'm going to Vegas on Friday! Hope everyone has a great Christmas! Cheers gang!
  9. Yeah, not being able to burn does kind of suck , but at least you can get something to tide you over or DL to an MP3 player. Or even just try something out to see if you like it.
  10. Not bad for a "commercial" site - so far I've found some pretty cool stuff. I'm up to the D's - Dave Meniketti, David Glen Eisley, Drive-by Truckers, Don Dokken/Dokken, Def Lep, etc. I even found Cry Havoc and Chris Caffery in the C's. Nope, not bad at all! Has anyone tried it yet? LOS ANGELES - SpiralFrog.com, an ad-supported Web site that allows visitors to download music and videos free of charge, was scheduled to launch Monday in the U.S. and Canada after months of "beta" testing. The music service, which has arranged to pay record companies a cut of its advertising revenue, aims to lure music fans who normally flock to online file-swapping networks to share and download music for free. The recording industry has sued thousands of computer users for doing so in recent years. "We believe it will be a very powerful alternative to the pirate sites," said Joe Mohen, chairman and founder of New York-based SpiralFrog Inc. "With SpiralFrog you know what you're getting ... there's no threat of viruses, adware or spyware." To deter users from posting copies of songs and videos they get from SpiralFrog, the service requires that users register and log on to the site at least once a month. Otherwise, the content locks up and can't be played. Related Content SpiralFrog The Web site's registration screen queries users on demographic filters such as their age, gender and ZIP code. The information is used to determine what kind of ads the users see when they are on the site. Like other online music services, the SpiralFrog site also features reviews and other information on its artists. At launch, the service was offering more than 800,000 tracks and 3,500 music videos for download. Much of that content comes by way of Vivendi SA's Universal Music Group, the world's largest record company and the only major label that has licensed its music and videos to SpiralFrog. The site, which also boasts content from independent record labels, expects to have more than 2 million tracks over the next several months, Mohen said. Though free, the audio and video files on SpiralFrog carry copy protections like those found on tracks available for sale at Apple Inc.'s iTunes Store and elsewhere. Downloads cannot be burned to a CD, but they can be transferred to dozens of digital music players. The content, however, is not compatible with Apple's Macintosh computers or its market-leading iPod. Users are allowed to copy their downloads to no more than two portable music players or compatible mobile phones at one time. SpiralFrog began allowing some computer users to try out the service earlier this year. The company aroused interest last fall after it announced its licensing deals with Universal Music and performing rights organization Broadcast Music Inc. But the company missed its early 2007 launch and instead underwent an executive shuffle that ended with the ouster of then-CEO Robin Kent. Mohen has attributed delays to the time-consuming process of obtaining rights from music publishers and other technical issues.
  11. Marla's my favorite Pom-Pom twin! :) I've been such a lousy friend lately, but whenever I manage to IM her she's always got something sweet to say... even if she IS thinking "Where the HELL have you been beyotch!!!" ;) Love ya, chickie!!

  12. BrianJ and Christine both mentioned that they had gotten some form of refund; just curious, are they still showing as "pending" or did they go through? Mike Mine came through this morning. I guess he processed mine quickly because it was only one disc... not much cash to part with. I hate to think how long others will have to wait (especially Georg and Adriano).
