Just started listening to Ghost and there seems a lot to like. Not what I'd expected at all.
I've also started watching Justin Hawkin's channel, which isn't unrelated as it was his video on them that made me even bother. I'd completely misread him as well. Comes across as a decent guy. I might even try The Darkness again.- 1

And Mitch Molly now out.

Was just looking into what's happening with Foreigner as they're playing here in a couple of weeks.
So seems Mick Jones doesn't play the full set? At 77 impressive he plays at all but a little push to say it's Foreigner if he only plays on a couple of songs? -

Yep. Another I need to spend more time on.

I have a larger backlog than I can remember. An awful lot of listenable albums seem to have been released recently.
So I'm now well into the Marillion. Their best for a long time. Also loving the Placebo. I'd say their best in 20+ years. -

Shit. Didn't know that was a cover.
Absolutely love the Tesla version.- 1

This year got quite the backlog already and finally got to this one.
Love it, not a surprise as I like the whole synthwave thing.
Interesting how much it's divided opinion!- 1

Not just been listening to rock.
Albums been listening to a lot
Fascination - The Birthday Massacre
Chimes at midnight - Magraduga
Earthling - Eddie Vedder
Shifting Time - Giant (ye, yes, I know it's not classic Giant but I think it stands on it's own as a good album)
The end game - Treat
Need to spend a bit more time with Foxy Shazam and the Marillion. Both had potential. -
Best album of the year for me so far.
Reminds me of Murder of my sweet at times.
No idea what genre you're supposed to call it but really like it. I shall shortly be exploring the back catalogue.- 1

The Quireboys and ex-lead vocalist Spike Gray each comment on latter being let go from the band - Sleaze Roxx
Sounds like the divorce proceedings not going so well. Different story from either side. -

he was too drunk to comment 🤣
Given the history doesn't seem unlikely.
Much as we love our bands we're not the ones spending all day with each other and having to deal with the situations that brings up on the road. -

I had no idea Guy Richie was in the band I thought it was Guy Griffin. ha ha
Ha ha.
Would be a good film though. Bunch of geordie lads come down to London and reek havoc.- 1

Closer to 38 years. First got together in the mid 80s (around 1984/1985 I think) and released their first singles in 1988.
Without Spike it will basically be a bunch of dudes nobody knows. Even Griffin, who has been around since the start is hardly known to anyone outside diehard fans.
I saw them in the mid 80s before they got signed.
I then got to spend and evening with them when they played in Munich. Had a good long chat with Guy Richie but had forgotten he was in the band when I first saw them so never mentioned it.

Spike and The Quireboys “part company” | MetalTalk
Known as 'London' Quireboys to America.
One of those bands where the front man is the band. Don't see how they can replace him. A real shame after 30 years. Always a great live band.- 1

Salty Dog.
Coverdale/Page
BonhamWolfmother
Depends how close you want. Rock City Angels sort of that direction.Going further back. Humble Pie well worth a listen.
-
Not listened to Skid Row in years. This might make me give them another go.
-
So they don't do bad songs. Up to their usual standards. Nice and catchy.

New album 24th June.
They're doing a show in London and it sold out in seconds. -

...I just wish they'd have changed the band name and let this stand on its own feet rather than the Giant one.
Above average height?
So listening to this for the first time having been super skeptical. I'm enjoying it. -

The arrogance and hypocrisy in this statement is what is staggering. Maybe we could turn this into a big collective circle jerk for all the poor misunderstood atheists. I will leave you to it. Enjoy.
You've presented a whole load of easily debunked statements about atheism. When corrected you've taken your bat and ball home.
You had a chance for a conversation but for some reason unable to have that conversation. The you just resort to insults.
I turn my other cheek. -
Maybe we should just turn this into ask an atheist? Seems a staggering amount of ignorance about what atheism is.

No atheist denies love is a thing. It has chemicals that make it happen but that closeness between human beings is clearly a thing and it feels good. It's also an essential part of pair bonding and the raising of the next generation.
You believe in life after death. I do too. I look at it every time I see my children. My part of the cycle of life ends when I stop puffing though.- 2

Jesus was real. His life is fairly well documented. Was he the son of a god? lol
If anything he was a magician of sorts. Probably a decent bloke though. That's really not proven. Opinions split. On the balance of it there is a fair chance he existed but it cannot be proven definitively he did. His life isn't well documented outside of the bible.
It's long but this is a good video on the topic.
