  1. Almost everything from the early eighties with Priest and Accept are just pure classics.

I think Racer X: Street lethal and Second heat together with Cacophony's two releases are very good. Not to mention Vicious Rumors: Digital Dictator.

Agent Steel: Unstoppable Force is quite good as well.

  2. What's better...Driver or Fires of Babylon?

Driver by far....the FoB had Rob Rock's voice mixed way too low. I also did not think the music on FoB was all that great.

Gotta back up what Alex said. Driver destroys Fires of Babylon like a Tyranosaurus Rex destroying a helpless herbivore. Both bands serve up the metal, but Driver does it waaaaay better. Fires of Babylon, in addition to not properly utilizing Rock's vocals, suffers from banal songs. I would gladly pay full price for Driver, but wouldn't take Fires of Babylon even if it was free.

I have to agree. But I think the Original Driver EP has more charm than Son of thunder :bananamac: and there are other versions of warrior that is much better than the one on Son of thunder.

  3. Their second album "The fall of ideal" is sensational IMO. One of the best modern metal albums ever made. It is very agressive but with melodic choruses that you can die for. Just listen to "This calling". It's also good to here a modern rock band that gives away some great guitar solos.

Sorry lads but I don't think Overcome is near as good as Fall of ideals. But I will most likely go and watch them play here in Sweden.

  4. dude, my price was $300 to you alone, one of these days you will figure out I don't want to have anything to do with you and you will stop asking me to sell you things, I do not want your business, so when you ask me for prices it is always gonna be high, if I am going to have to deal with you I want to get paid well for it, but even then it is not worth it as you are way too high maintenance...my prices are meant to drive you away dude, plain and simple...you ask me for a cd and it is $300, everyone else it might be $50 or so....if I actually want $300 out of a cd, it is $600 to you.......hell, I would rather GIVE my cd's to everyone on this board than to SELL you even one.....so stop emailing me to unblock you from my auctions, just move on and do your business elsewhere...as far as the rhythm circus goes, wait and see if it's the right one, I am not helping you out one bit..my selling days are drawing to a close on ebay, I do far too much business off ebay to keep giving ebay fees..most of my stuff usually never hits ebay, heck most of my big time indies go before ever hitting ebay......I am sick of your sideways comments about me here on this board, I am sick of you always ridiculing my prices..I am sick of the constant emails saying "are you mad at me?", I am sick of being asked time and time again, to unblock you, I am sick of you asking me to tell you how many copies I have of a cd then you doubt my answers...I am sick to shit of you!...I hope this post is very clear, I DO NOT want business from STARYDER1.........period!! whew.....that felt good....LOL (yes james I am laughing, I laugh alot AND IT IS QUANTITY, QUALITY LAUGHING, AND IT FITS IN WELL WITH ALL THE QUANTITY QUALITY LAUGHING I DO) LOL I wish a happy holiday season to everyone else here at HH..

It is quite funny. I don't think you are madd at all just tired of a person that bullying you. I sure like "IT IS QUANTITY, QUALITY LAUGHING, AND IT FITS IN WELL WITH ALL THE QUANTITY QUALITY LAUGHING I DO". Has it maybe something to do with a "all quality silver pressed cd collection".

  5. It might not have been a boy. But the background was blue and it was a metallic Jewel case. That is the biggest clue.

I know my description isn't the greatest.

Pretty sure this is the cd in question. It has about a 50/50 mix of great melodic rock and instrumentals ala Yngwie...

As you look at the description in this Amazon add it appears it came with a metal slip sleeve. Mine is a Japanese issue on Fandango Records. (No metal slip sleeve and it is "Sample-Promotional Use Only, NOT FOR SALE!)

You are a god mate! :headbanger::banger::banana::drink:

You are spot on. That is the cd. I know that someone on this board would figure it out.

    Is it hard to get?

It would be nice to finally listen to it again.

Cheers to everyone that helped me

  6. Hi all,

I know this might be impossible but you guys on this board usually knows alot and are like the twin of old Sherlock. Here's the question.

I found an album in one of my regular record stores in the middle of the 90-ties. It was quite new at that time. The odd thing about it was that it had a metallic box. I can't really remember the cover but I think it was a person (boy) with a guitar in one of the lower corners on really blue background. The music was really good melodic hardock with hints of acts like Steeelhouse Lane. I think it might have been from Italy or some other south European country. It also might have been a guitar players project since I remember the album contain several instrumental songs.

I know this is a long shot but if anybody here around have a clue it might be awesome. I can't believe I didn't buy this cd. I had it in my hands so many times but I always bought some other albums instead. And the day I was finnaly going to buy it the sucker was gone.

    Take care

  7. I read this article yesterday. Great news if you like Jaded reign as I do. They will also put out some unreleased material as well.

Authority X Records is proud to announce that we have reached a new agreement with Jaded Reign™ and we will be releasing their catalog of music starting from 1991-1996.

As a tribute to Brian Cooney Jaded Reign has released their archived music video on YouTube. Enjoy!

Authority X Records recording artist Jaded Reign™ exploded into the hard rock world out of Long Island, NY. Authority X Records is proud to announce that their entire catalog of music including new never released material will be available worldwide beginning May 2008. The releases will include "Harmful if Swallowed", "Tangled in the Shadows" the CD that landed on the UKs independent charts at #13, and Poland's top 100, and a brand new compilation CD "A Long Harmful Tangled Season in June 2008.

I send them an email yesterday and asked them when the cd:s will be ready. The cd:s should be released in the next 2-3 weeks.

  8. I have traded with him in the past. He is indeed very slow but I got the cd:s in the end.

Another funny thing with these lads are that they use the same list of quite rubbish cd:s to trade for your very rare cd:s when they indeed have many rare cd:s they don't put up for trade. So if you trade with them ask for another list of cd:s since they have many rare cd:s they won't offer in the first run.

Gersch girlfriend is now in the game as well.

    I think they are weirdos.

    Take care

  9. The first song is great (title track) is great but the rest is just average Sabu stuff. Not as melodic as his best stuff like Only Childs debut and Heartbreaker in my opinion. More rockier. More Aorisher stuff please Mr. Sabu.

  10. Any update on your progress?

Yes. He told me that he didn't know it was a bootleg and he was an honest trader and all that. He Had a number of cd:s from Stormspell's list up for trade/sell on Melodicrock so I think he must have known that it was a bootleg.

I told him that I wanted the self-titled Eyes cd I saw in his list for compensation. He answered me that he thought this also was a bootleg but I could get it if wanted.

I gave him a couple of options. I told him to send back the cd I have traded to him and I would keep the Hurricane album as an compensation for the postage and the hazzle he had put me through. But he did not like that. In that case he wanted the HUrricane album back. I could not accept that

The Hurricane album is a good boot (good sound qulity and nice booklet) but the cd is a quite cheep disc. So I told him to send me the Eyes cd as well as a compensation. He accepted that and I hope that cd is coming soon. Could not be bothered to put more time into this matter maybe it was wrong but I really like that Hurricane album and wanted to keep it. I did not like the cd I traded at all.

  11. It is a Greek bootleg yes.

Do a back-serch in this section of the forum and you will find a thread with huge list of all current Greek bootlegs I've posted sometime ago. Hurricane, Banshee, Roko, Skagarack, Paganini, Force 3, Mesisah Force, Vanadium, and more, all duped.

    P.S. Here it is http://heavyharmonies.ipbhost.com/index.php?showtopic=11580

I knew I had seen that post in the past but could not find it this morning.

I will definately go after that trader.

    Take care

  12. Hi there,

What a mess it has been with all the strange Hurricane re-issue. I hope you all get your money back.

But I have another issue about a Japaneese version of the Over the edge album.

I got this album in a trade from a Greek lad. I think it is a Bootleg of the original japaneese version. It is a quite good one but a bootleg.

Does anyone know if a bootleg like this is floating around.

All the text and everything on the disc look authentic but my disc says Over the edge on the inner ring. Regular releases usually don't have this type of marking on the disc. And what I have seen from auction on the web this is not there. The text and pictures on the booklet are quite blurry as well.

I really need to find out if this is a fake since a traded a quite good cd for this one.

    Take care

    Ali
