  1. While not an AOR band, KISS has a few badass AOR demos, "Sword and Stone" and "When Two Hearts Collide." Even though these songs were never officially released, they're probably my two favorite songs by them.
  2. A few months ago, Bon Jovi released a Deluxe Edition of their self-titled album. This new edition has four live tracks, a remixed and an alternate version of Runaway, and a few demos. Since they released it, I've been hoping they'll also someday create deluxe editions of 7800° Fahrenheit and Slippery When Wet. While this Deluxe Edition doesn't feature as many demos and outtakes as the one for New Jersey, I imagine that a Slippery When Wet Deluxe Edition would be way bigger. After all, the album not only has two outtakes (which were eventually released in Japan), but also a fuck-ton of kickass demos! If they did release a Slippery When Wet Deluxe Edition, what is one thing you'd like to see included in it? I'd personally like for it to have a better-quality recording of "Lonely Is the Night"
  3. Since I found your post, I cannot stop listening to this song! It kinda reminds me of "Under the Gun" by Danger Danger (which happens to be my favorite song by them).
  4. Heart and Soul - Zero Zero
  5. Thrill of the Chase - Warrior ... Oh crap, I just realized I didn't reply to the last post. Sorry guys
  6. I agree, it's definitely a great album. These are probably my two favorite songs by them:
  7. Oh dang, you're right. The first time I tried searching the name Robby Valentine on the forum, no results popped up. Now that I did it again, I've gotten a bunch of them. Perhaps I mistyped it the first time.
  8. Here are a few killer tracks by a band which I don't think has ever been mentioned on this forum:
  9. Pretty good song! It kind of reminds me of "All Through the Night" by Cydni Lauper—albeit, that's not an AOR song.
  10. That's actually the song which got me into Firehouse in the first place, and will always be my favorite. I heard it on the radio one day, and decided to look up the band; the rest was history.
  11. Alright, thanks! So from my understanding, AOR leans more towards pop and melodic hard rock leans towards metal / hard rock, right?
  12. Tell me about it. I'm twenty-one years old and I'm afraid that I'll not only outlive the great glam metal stars, but also the majority of their fan-bases. It kind of reminds me of a quote: "they say you die twice. One time when you stop breathing and a second time, a bit later on, when somebody says your name for the last time." I hate how most people my age aren't interested in this kind of music, but who knows? Maybe I'll someday have children and I'll get to raise them on real bands like Firehouse, Bon Jovi, and Danger Danger, thus keeping their memory alive!
  13. Thanks, I'm glad to be here! To be honest, I don't really listen to 70s rock music that often. Although I do like some of the stuff by KISS and the song "Go All The Way" by Raspberries.
  14. I agree, it absolutely sucks; but it's pretty cool that you got to meet him though. Was it at a concert?
  15. Rest in peace C.J. Firehouse will always be my favorite melodic hard rock band.
  16. Just out of curiosity, what do you personally consider the defining characteristics of each sub-genre. I'm trying to better understand them myself.
  17. I just tried to edit the post to get the song from a different uploader; it's "Heart of Steel" by Trixter.
  18. I'm not too familiar with all the different sub-genres of glam metal, but I think this song counts:
  19. Well, if it makes you feel any better, I noticed that you do like Crazy Lixx and I'm a big fan of them too. My favorite song by them is 21 Till I Die.
  20. I live in Austin, what about you? By the way, I listened to the songs. They're alright; for some reason, they kinda remind me of rock music from the 1970s.
