  1. Frontiers don't affect me because I don't buy anything they release, and haven't since 2010. You must be new to the internet...
  2. At least with Kylie you could watch her on Top of the Pops with the sound off... What do we get with Frontiers? Bad videos of old men 😅
  3. I think Del Vecchio writes about 30 (shit) songs a day, and that's probably the problem. Still, that'll give you plenty to enjoy, you must have been Stock, Aitken and Waterman's dream customer in the 80's 😅
  4. I love Deen's voice, but Revolution Saint's is shit. I'd put it on par with the last Journey 😅
  5. Well Jack Russell hasn't been in Great White since 2007, so what their recent albums sound like has little to do with him To me it sounds about as rough as the last L.A. Guns mix wise. The L.A. Guns reunion album shits all over this songwise (although I actually preferred the album by Steve Riley's version). Jack sounds fine on his last few album's, as he would here if his vocals weren't buried. I don't buy the argument of "well I don't think they can write anymore anyway, so they might as well have Del Vecchio and his stooges do it". That's not the case, they're both capable of writing, and even if it's bog average, I'd sooner hear a writer write their own bog average album than be paid to play one by someone who's never written a great song in his life. That way all you can expect is an inauthentic, average album. And what's the point in paying for that?
  6. Looking forward to this. I've never disliked anything Robert has done. Great writer and vocalist. I'm also hoping his new Bad Company Legacy band with Dave Colwell results in more gigs and an album. He and Dave write well together. Mick Ralph's is disabled now, Paul Rodgers has confirmed his retirement from touring... if Rick Wills and Simon Kirke got involved, it'd be more Bad Company than anything they've done in year's!
  7. Yep sounds great. Debut was a nice suprise too.
  8. Yep. And as long as Frontiers keep pumping out lame shit like this, I'd get used to it. Also, it's "whine"
  9. I'd imagine the sales figures are minimal. But so are the costs. A bunch of Italian guys write, play and produce it and the star gets a one off fee to lay down vocals or solo's. The artwork is just cheap stuff. And they are definitely forcing it down our throats, because it's all they offer. The same shit all the time. Besides Escape Music, AOR BLVD and Melodic Rock Classics there's no alternative. If you want to hear new material from alot of these guys, you HAVE to settle for sub standard shit by Del Vecchio & Friend's on Frontiers.
  10. Meh. Mix is horrible, and it sounds like someone's said to Del Vecchio "here's some old Great White album tracks, can you copy and paste them with lyrics that are clearly by someone who doesn't speak English as their first language". It's just so forced. Guns and Russell are both still writing and recording, so there's no need for Del Vecchio and a bunch of random Italian's to write material for them. It's so far beyond boring by now that Frontiers keep forcing this shit down our throats.
  11. So far, so good. Hopefully this brings about a period of renewed activity for Hugo. His recorded output over 34 years is surprisingly minimal.
  12. ADV cannot write material that suits Jack Russell. He can barely write good material as it is. This will suck.
  13. Pretty underwhelming. Sound's like an album track from the last REO album, and Jim Peterik should not be taking ANY lead vocals any more. His voice was always quite poor, but it's just shot to shit now.
  14. Jim Peterik & World Stage, rooted in the idea of musical and spiritual collaborations among artists and friends, has announced a new album, Roots & Shoots Vol.1, out January 12 via Frontiers Music Srl. Jim about the album: “Roots & Shoots is my latest collection of new music by what I consider to be the most iconic artists from the classic rock of the 80’s (the Roots) paired with the most exciting new talents I’ve had the pleasure of discovering. I found the same timeless qualities in the Shoots represented on this album. They are all rising stars!” The first single, "Dangerous Combination" is co-written Kevin Cronin and Peterik. The track, which features Cronin backed by REO Speedwagon, is accompanied by a new music video. Kevin comments on the track: “Jim Peterik and I have been friends since I booked the original Ides of March to play my high school homecoming in 1968. Jimmie is the hardest working musician and songwriter ever, full of positive energy, and a songwriting machine. I dig how ‘Dangerous Combination’ came together and look forward to sharing it with the fans.” Jim Peterik & World Stage has spawned a series of extremely well received albums beginning with their legendary self titled debut, featuring partnerships with rock luminaries such as Dennis DeYoung, Kevin Cronin, Johnny Van Zant, Don Barnes, Tom Keifer, and more. In 2019, the concept reemerged on the Winds Of Change album, where Jim Peterik teamed up with legends such as Kevin Chalfant, Dennis DeYoung, Matthew and Gunnar Nelson, Kelly Keagy, Mike Reno, Jason Scheff, and others. Peterik subsequently dedicated an entire album female rockers, resulting in the remarkable Tigress - Women Who Rock the World. This album showcased collaborations with outstanding singers and musicians like Jennifer Batten, Chloe Lowery, Rosa Laricchiuta, Chez Kane, and others. These albums underscore Jim Peterik's immense talents, complemented by a roster of renowned singers and musicians. With the new Roots and Shoots album concept, the Chicago-based artist presents two superb albums equally divided between Roots (classic rock stars) and Shoots (emerging rock stars). In addition to Kevin Cronin and REO Speedwagon, Vol. 1's notable guests include: Kelly Keagy (Night Ranger), Don Barnes (.38 Special), Mark Farner (Grand Funk), alongside emerging talents like Colin Peterik (Jim's son), Ashton Brooke Gill, Paul Childers, Leslie Hunt, Mark Mackay, and a captivating duet between Dave Mikulskis and Lisa McClowry. World Stage embodies Jim Peterik's outstanding musical legacy, a testament to his songwriting prowess as one of the true icons of melodic rock. Tracklisting: "Dangerous Combination" (feat Kevin Cronin & REO Speedwagon) "Before Anyone Knows We’re Gone" (feat Colin Peterik) "Last Dream Home" (feat Don Barnes) "Forever's The Last Place You Look" (feat Paul Childers) "Mend Fences" (feat Kelly Keagy) "As I Am" (feat Ashton Brooke Gill) "Friends Forever" (feat Jim Peterik and Mark Farner) "Suddenly" (feat Leslie Hunt) "I Found Me" (feat Mark Mackay) "Fire And Water" (feat Lisa McClowry and Mike Mikulskis) "Fire And Water" (Acoustic Version) [Bonus Track Japan]
  15. Future Miracles in 2004 and Sacred in 2007.
  16. I wonder who's singing on this one? Bryan Cole did a good job on his first one, wasn't Roy Cathey on the second one?
  17. Those 2 Ladder albums were sublime...
  18. Like clockwork... every Christmas there's a new Last Autumn's Dream / Autumn's Child album. You'd think they'd have a stronger presence with such a large and regular back catalogue, but they seem to come and go with very little fanfare...
  19. I think its the first or second song that has the Who's Crying Now solo in it, pretty much note for note. There's another track later on that uses another Journey solo, maybe After The Fall. I can't remember, I've only spun it the once.
  20. It's pretty good, but my attention wandered about halfway through. Then there's quite a guitar heavy track that changed things up. Sall has "borrowed" alot of Neal Schon solo's for this!
  21. And last Friday, Escapes social media was saying "out now". So, yeah, confused!
  22. Del Vecchio truely just writes absolute shite, without fail.
