Sounds good
-
The album is available on Apple Music as I'm listening to it now. First two tracks down (the singles)
Apple Music has 11 tracks ending with River Phoenix, Pt. 2 so no bonus track
Edit: just finished the album. Good overall. Some stand outs but I'm not sure if I'll ever listen to it again
-
Man, that sounds fantastic! My kinda rock right there
The track titles look great
Very much looking forward to this album now!
-
Sad. Between this and the Vegas shooting, it's a sad day for a lot of people.

From Andrew's 97% review:
QuoteThe band recorded 14 tracks for this album overall, so there’s 3 more to come at some point
Hmm I wonder how these sound and if we will ever hear them

I've installed a default dark theme. Scroll to the bottom and select "Theme" to switch to a different one. Depending on what font colors people have used when posting it may or may not look decent.
It's out of the box, so I've done no customization to it, but that should get you going for now...
Nice! Much easier on the eyes

Definitely going to take a bit to get used to.
Any chance of a dark mode?

Well, I'm going to be somewhat the contrarian here... the album is very good, but it doesn't grab me by the balls the way the last one did.
For example, in the above track, I kept waiting for a huge chorus payoff, and IMO it never came. No vocal harmonies at all. It's a good song, but could have been better.
I've only listened through the album once thus far and will definitely need several more spins to see if it's a grower, but thus far IMO there are better albums this year...
I would definitely agree on the first part...Doesn't grab me like TDTW did either. But the album is definitely a grower at least for me. I really didn't care for a few songs at first but I really like everything on the album.
Also have to add my Japan copy showed up today and the Japan bonus track F Y I Miley is pretty darn good although it's a little bit short at 2:49. However, I'd say it's probably the heaviest song on the album and is definitely a song they should've included on the standard release. I think it would've fit well right after Do you Want It.
You need to post that bonus track!
Yea I need to hear this bonus track as I love the album

In comparison to the others in your list it sounds like it was recorded in a tin can.
Yes I think of it as more "raw" which is cool.

New single is a very nice ballad with beautiful soaring guitars. It sounds great
-
I do wish they put their albums out on vinyl. Digital is fine but it ain't the same. Especially since this new album has cool artwork and would look great on my wall.
I don't mind digital, but I'd love for more dynamic versions of the albums to be released. They're victims of the loudness war for sure. Freedom Rock is especially bad - you can hear clipping on that one.
Anyone ever come across a vinyl rip of Tearing down the walls? I have actually yet to get a decent record player so mine is staying in it's sleeve for now!
Woah you got the vinyl? That's awesome. It's the only album they've put on vinyl according to Discogs.
I had no idea the new album is available to pre-order on vinyl right now! Killer
I think ATN is my favorite record from them now. Every song is awesome

I tried to give this one the car treatment today on a beautiful sunny day and it wasn't happenin
Hardly catchy at all and a lack of hooks, not one song stuck in my head after
Thought it was boring

Yep, Austin's solo stuff is indeed terrible, and this new Hinder album does absolutely nothing at all for me. The shitty, muffled production job does nothing to assist these weak as piss songs either. Yeah, sadly this band is dead without Austin.
Unless they can patch up their differences, I think they're all done, as artists.
I agree the band is dead without Austin and they should've changed name with the new lead singer. It's hearing these new songs without applying the "Hinder" name to them that makes them decent. Don't compare
Even though Austin's latest stuff was more pop than southern rock I think given the right band members around him, he can pull out amazing southern rock. At least I hope so. He has the voice for it.
I'm going to do my best to see him live in a few months when he rolls through the PNW
Hinder has a special place in my heart either Austin involved or not

I'm gonna be lame but here we go:
Def Leppard / REO Speedwagon - 2016 Tacoma Dome <-- I was one of the youngest at this show but it was awesome. Those fuckers (security) wouldn't let me stand in the middle in the back. They wanted me to go back to my seat. Fuck that bullshit. I wanna move to my favorite music.
Also saw Electric Six this year. Don't remember the date.
The future looks bright:
Potentially Scorpions and Megadeath
Maybe Hollywood Undead and Theory of a Deadman (I know, trust) this year
I'm waiting on the world tour of Whitesnake and Def and Journey coming back to the PNW next year
And of course MRF 2018 in Chicago next year (hopefully!)

Night Ranger at the Northwest Washington Fair tonight! Anyone else going?
Man I had no idea NR was in the area! It would have been a deep drive from Seattle. How were they?
It's only a two hour drive, mate. Not so bad. You would have been home and in bed by 11:30. For me it was only 20 minutes. It was actually closer than driving into Vancouver.
They were great, as always. Played a good assortment of their catalog. And smashed out a few covers for good measure.
11:30 lol <-- I try to get to bed before 2 depending on the night
Glad to hear it. I wish I had known they were playing, I would've been there
I think you're the only person on this forum that are in the PNW
My buddy wants to go see Scorpions and Megadeth at the end of this month at the T-Dome, Sept 30th
You goin?

I tried with this album. Never heard anything before
His voice... i personally have a hard time with it
I'm really, really into vocals so I had to stop about 3/4 way in. Vocals make or break it for me
Ultimately, not for me
-
I think "Cry" is the best song in the HEAT catalog. Those vocals man...
Roll on the album
Love that track also, think it was the first H.E.A.T song I heard prior to the self titled release and I couldn't wait to hear this new band...was well worth the wait
I can only imagine. They are a great band through and through.
Been listening a lot to ATN these last few days.
In and Out of Trouble is absolute fire. I love the sax and it's got such a great groove. I hope the new album has similar elements.
I do wish they put their albums out on vinyl. Digital is fine but it ain't the same. Especially since this new album has cool artwork and would look great on my wall.
Redefined is the best single by far so far
-
The sad thing is there are 2 watchers...
Amazon has this seller and another seller right around the same price
Insane...

What.The.Fuck
Yep lol
-
Is that Weird Al?
-
Sounds good
-
Excited to hear this one
-
Alright, now that the singles are finally up on Apple Music, I've listened to them
I don't mind when bands "change" their sound as long as the songs are still good
Redefined and Eye of the Storm are awesome. Time on Our Side is decent.
Erik sounds great as usual and Dave's guitar work is killer
My goal is to see them live next year at MRF in Chicago
I am waiting for the track that returns them to their hard rock roots
I think "Cry" is the best song in the HEAT catalog. Those vocals man...
Roll on the album

They have taken a wrong turn here imo
Agreed. They've lost their edge that I enjoyed about their previous albums.
