  1. I went with Def Lep "Hysteria" but the best album of that time and , in my opinion , of all-time is Whitesnake 1987. Nothing touches that album. 10 out of 10 - Absolute Perfection.

If the same poll was done for songs, although Whitesnake's s/t from 1987 is not my fav album of the 80's, the song 'Here I Go Again' would be my pick as the ultimate 80' hard rock song and music video :tits:

From this list of albums I would pick Hysteria by a fraction over Appetite, with Slippery coming in third. But any of the releases in this poll are fitting of the 'ultimate' title.

  2. David is not just responding to threads about Restrospect, he's starting them. I don't care how 'innocent' or 'friendly' the intent was, everybody knows this thread was going to eventually get ugly.

Just like Marium and Emily, two grade one kids in my wife's class who are now no longer allowed to sit beside each other, talk to each other, play together at recess or even look at each other. When they get in line one is at the front and the other at the back, when they are in the gym they are never on the same team and when they are asked to leave each other alone, it seems to add fuel to the fire and the fighting escalates.

BTW, my wife can't wait for this school year to be over and I don't blame her.

  3. Unless a specific name for this software is given, simply saying they use an illegal software won't do anything. Ebay needs proof. I just hope sellers just block that b**ch, so nobody else gets screwed one way or another. Word of mouth is the best way to get rid off her, if all melodic rock and AOR sellers block her now that would send a message. Life has been peaceful for the past few weeks without any bids from that loser.

  4.

Unlike Arwine I don't know this person's name since everytime the shipping name is different, yet one constant is the address in Watsonville, CA (near San Diego).

Here are the 4 ebay id's that this person has had to my knowledge: icb81 (July 2006), drydc (Oct 2006, this id is still active as of today), somebodys_watching_you (Sept 2005) and I also believe this one as well mus12341234 (way back in May 2005.)

He usually bids on some indie AOR cd's in my auctions.

If a new bidder comes from Watsonville, CA, be very carefull.

    Cheers, Dave

Watsonville is nowhere near San Diego, Dave (about 8 hours away). I drive through Watsonville twice a day, so if you want me to thunk him on the head, hollar.

In Canada an 8 hour trip means you may see another town, within the same county. Sorry, for geographical OOPS!!! Those darn 'SAN' something, it's like 'St.' this and that in Québec, they are everywhere. Is San Jose a better SAN choice for proximity?

By all means a thunk on the head sounds good...well not my head of course.

  5. Unlike Arwine this bidder doesn't stick out like a sore thumb and make it so obvious it's him/her. However like Arwine he has had multiple ebay id's and is not coming through with the payments or at least not before a complaint must be made.

In the past 18 months this person has had at least 4 Ebay id's to my knowledge, well at least 4 id's that have bid on my auctions. 3 of the 4 times this person has been NARUed and everytime I have had to file a non-paying complaint through Ebay. A few times I have received payment, yet some other times this person has simply just been NARUed before the transaction could be completed.

Unlike Arwine I don't know this person's name since everytime the shipping name is different, yet one constant is the address in Watsonville, CA (near San Diego).

    fark_sausage.jpg

Put her mouth on what Koogles?

Did you know Germany has a huge variety of sausages. It's a fact!

  7. WARNING to all sellers of AOR/Melodic Rock music BLOCK this terrible buyer www_dartweltmeisterin_de. This horrible bidder begs for cdr's not won nor bid on after auction ends. This person will complain non stop, file chargebacks, ask for free things and wait until a complaint is made before paying. AVOID AT ALL COST!

This is the persons name and address

    Brigitte Thiele or Deiter Thiele

    Schmiedeweg 8

    Adendorf, Niedersachsen 21365

    Germany

If this person bids on anything cancel and block. Only bad things can happen with this person bidding on your items.

WARNING! This person is now claiming false chargebacks through Paypal.

  8. Hello Rockers this is Staryder1 I just wanted give a round of applause to both KOOGLES and ZACHARYAMELIE in my opinion they both are the two top ebayers from canada they are fair, knowlegdable and have some of the best auctions with a great assorment of music and discs. Hey Tony and Dave keep up the great work and youll have a customer for life!!!!!!!!!! rock on :banger:

Ah Shucks! Now I'm blushing. It takes trustworty customers and dedicated collectors to make us good sellers. Cheers, Dave

    :drink:

  9. Found amazingly rare indie from ROB MORATTI from Final Frontier, not his Moratti - Desolation release, but a self tiltled indie with the help of Mladen (no big surprise there) of Von Groove playing on it. I nearly pooped my pants when I found this one. I wonder if anybody else has this rarety in their collection.

  10. I voted for 'Sound Of White Noise', even if the poll states the noise is black, it could have been purple, yellow, green, no matter the noise was great. One of the best releases of the early/mid 90's.

Unlike Metallica (excluding the Black album which was good), the new decade brought forth some kick ass Anthrax cd's, the following 2 or 3 releases were also great and gone were the days of goofy lyrics, jean shorts with cartoon t-shirts, the necessity to want to get caught in a mosh pit and attempts at rapping, all the while trying to become 'the man'.

  11. Check out these MP3 samples of the Fraze Gang CD.......

    BLOW ME AWAY

    SAVIOR

    BROKEN HERO

    SUGAR DADDY

    PARADISE

    HIGH LIFE

    HOT ROD

The band has a web site up in "Kooglesville" (Canada) and you can order their CD directly from them and pay with PAYPAL.......FRAZE GANG WEB PAGE

They say it is available from CD Baby as well, but, they haven't had it for quite a long time.......

Hey Delbert, this ''Kooglesville'' is called Virgil, about 10 minutes from my place. It's a small town of about 1,000 in the middle of Niagara's winery country.

  12. I thought I was over reacting with the thread I started yesterday about buyers wanting CD-R's made for some item not won, or not even bid on. But this buyer has crossed the line: www_dartweltmeisterin_de also affectionately known as Brigitte to all sellers, wanted a CD-R of a cd she did not even bid on. I told her in an e-mail that I had shipped the item out an hour after it ended, so it was too late and this was her response:

    Hi,

I ask you 10 minutes after I won the CDs!!!

Send me 1 from my Wantlist

    Brigitte

Included in the e-mail was a list of about 250 f**king cd's she has on her want list. Ask JLPRocks about that list he saw it and it's long as hell.

Who the F**K does she think she is? Well she's now blocked, I may lose a few bucks but I won't be pulling out my hair over this person's request for cheaper shipping, asking me to wait for payments so she can make more 'bits' or ordering/telling me to make her CD-R's.

  13. The biggest dissapointement from a guitarist at a live show was Nuno back in '97, he was at Lee's Palace in Toronto doing a show to promote his new solo cd. Other than the light and short solos in the tracks (he did no Extreme songs at all) he played no guitar solo, no killer bees, no nothing. Here is one of my guitar heroes playing it safer than nuns at a bingo. Sad!

  14. Well at least i got my cd before all you "haters" blew his/her ass up.....hahahahahahaaha.......But seriously i hate to see anyone from here get reamed, so they ultimately got what they deserved.....

    Later

    Lon

Happy you got your cd's Lon.

Not to worry this person got back on Ebay the very next with the new name melodicrockfreak. I'm not 100% sure, but from what I see and what I know, well I'm 99.9% sure.

  15. With all the Retrospect releases out there, ever think of opening up an Ebay store of only Retrospect cd's on Ebay, sorta like Metal Mayhem. I bet you many more people go straight to Ebay when looking for cheaply priced cd's, before going to the band websites or to the label websites.
