Easily one of my top 5 songs of the year, instantly. Love that. Where are these guys from? Is this their only song so far?

Edit - another Nagaland band I see. What a hotbed.

Yes, I believe this is their first official single. But will have to do a little bit of research first.

That's become one of my favorite songs ever. It's gonna go down as a 2010s rock classic.

Yep, it's a song that i still listen to a few times every month especially with my buddies while drinking or going for long drives. This type of song is the reason why I love 80s melodic rock to this day. Just pure gold!

Bit of a creeper this album, but I dig. Just did a quick little read-up on these guys on wikipedia and seems like there's an interesting history. I knew them from way back when then they released two very solid but pretty unspectacular albums in 2005 and 2007, and then went silent and I kind of forgot about them.

Seems like a bit happened in those years, including their lead vocalist passing in 2014 (R.I.P). Also, possibly of interest, Don Vedda played in this band from 2019-2020.

This new album has actually been released without a lead vocalist in the band, but a host of guest vocalists on every track. Amazingly, it flows very well. The style is more mellow, and I must say, preferable to me. As noted at the start, the songs are instantly nice, but really grow and they're some of my favourites of the year so far now.

Listened to this last night. Fantastic album. Agree, these are songs the more you listen the more you love them. Tunes like 'For Atlas', 'Knock it all down', 'New morning', and 'Escape from reality' are some of the best i have heard so far this year.

  4. Been listening to a lot of old releases lately and stumbled upon this one and must say the songs are nothing short of perfection, atleast in the modern rock genre. Sadly no EPs or albums, just 3 singles to this day. All 3 are gems though.

After that first listen "Heartbeat" stands out for me as the best on here...but "Heart Worth Breaking" not far behind,it's a nice listen but I agree totally with Eric3 that after the first listen "Monsters" was quite a bit better...still is for me...but I'm enjoying this one too.

Yep, Heartbeat is my fave too.

Isn't this exactly the same as before? Only Frontiers got to stamp their logo at the end?

Anyway, the song's still awesome, and that guitar solo is still fire! Pretty much exactly what a solo should be: not pointless wankery, but actually musical and elevating.

Also, I can't recall if I asked before, but what happened to the dude's arm? Was it in a cast/arm brace, or did he lose it recently?

Saw them live recently, can confirm its very much intact lol. But I was told he has 2 to 3 fingers missing on one of the hands.

Do I understand the release is only the songs from the album released last year? Would have loved to hear a couple of new songs on it too, personally.

Yes I think so, the only new material is an acoustic version of their song "Our Fairyland" for Japan.

Debut is an awesome album. Can't wait for new material, but I have to say, I would absolutely love a scenario that involved that second album getting mixed and released to hungry ears. Can't imagine that would be anything but delightfully received by fans of the debut.

Yes I was gonna write the same thing. Those unreleased materials meant for their follow up album seeing the light of day would be such a great thing.

Yes, I'm the new bassplayer :).

I have asked Ward Dufraimont to answer your question, as he is better suited to reply:

In a nutshell : Expectations were high in 2010 with a debut album out on MelodicRock Records and big dreams, unfortunately the wheels started coming off from the word ‘go’. After losing our permanent drummer and rehearsal space and wasting precious time trying to sort that all out, frustration started to kick in. In an effort to keep moving forward, we recorded a second full length album in 2012, which sits unmixed on a hard-drive somewhere. Sometimes life gets in the way, and we decided to shelve the whole thing before friendships were lost. In 2022, with enough water under the bridge, we are back in full force, with a deluxe reissue of the debut album (out of print for years) to kickstart the whole thing. Playing out as much as we can, opening for the likes of FM, Jelusick, Gun, and others this year, spreading the word. We hope to have a new single out later this year, and more new music next year. A new decade, a new lineup, a fresh start. Nothing’s gonna stop us now !

That's good to hear. The album Vanity Kills was pretty awesome. Some of the songs had bit of modern rock vibe to them which I thought was cool. Yep, hope we get to hear more music from you guys.

not quite is accordance with the thread, but I saw Vain support Skid Row back in the day and really didn't like them, then years later actually discovered that I liked the debut - it was after Enough Rope was released and I worked backwards.

Also I returned the John Kilzer Memory in the Making cd, but came to love the album but still don't own the cd

Vain, yes it's one band i never really got into it. Just last week I spent about 30 mins listening to their most popular songs, I dont know what it is but the songs dont do much for me. But i do like one of their songs a lot 'No tears for you', and Whisper is pretty good too. And a few I do like to some degree, that's about it.
