Josh Dally - I Love You. Perfect pop song. Has already become one of my most-played songs.
Degreed - Turn Back
Moonrunner83 - Like We Were Kids
The Midnight - Heart Worth Breaking. Top 5 Midnight song IMO, too bad the rest of the album wasn't up to par.
Generation Radio - All Night To Get There
Futurecop! - Home
Threshold - Defence Condition
Ten - Immaculate Friends (Yes that's right!)
State Champs - Half Empty
Astronoid - Eyes
Love the song 'Half Empty'. 'Eventually' is another tune I like. Overall, not a bad album.
Crazy how this synthwave genre has gradually expanded our tastes in music over the last few years. The impact is pretty huge I must say. Its become a genre that we share and talk about pretty often on this forum and also find in year-end favorite albums/songs list, atleast in many members' lists.

I need to slow it down. Been listening to these six tracks constantly. This is the album of the year. I'm calling it right now. If anything surpasses it, I will be amazed. Harem Scarem likely won't get an album out this year, will they? Treat just released one. Winger is, but, while I'm hopeful, I just don't expect to like it as much as this. This just sounds so fresh. I love it. Now that I said that, watch the next six songs be duds. ;}
The Defiants?
If they do then that's album of the year. I m calling it right now lol.

Personally, I feel 2022 had plenty of great tunes but not as many great albums. Looking at my 2022 best songs list, not really surprised to see more of synthwave and modern rock tunes this time, two genres of music that I really enjoy as well, but also kinda reflects how these two genres have produced better songs in comparison to AOR and hard rock albums last year. Well that's just my opinion.
Here's more or less my favourite 30. Have also included couple of singles as I don't see an album in the foreseeable future. In no particular order except my favorite song of the year which is 'Nightcry' by Ultraboss. The Midnight - Heartbeat
Rob Moratti - Love
Friday Night Firefight - Bad Days
Dani Sylvia - Moonburn
Dayseeker - Crying While You're Dancing
Degreed - Falling Down
Scary Kids Scaring Kids - For Atlas (what a song! Thanks to Geoff)
Nic Howell - Coffee & Contemplation
Josh Dally ft. All The Damn Vampires - London
Rain City Drive - Dreams
We Came As Romans - Holding The Embers
Palace - Westbound
VHS Collection - Anyway (Crucial late entry lol. Based on Glen's recommendation)
GATC - Clearing The Blur
Short Stack - Armageddon
Dayseeker - Homesick
The Band Camino - Song About You
Simple Plan - Slow Motion ( love the verses more than the chorus. It's the type of melody I love in pop punk tunes)
Reckless Love - Outrun
Treat - Freudian Slip
NOTD ft. Nightly - About You
Holly Humberstone - Please Dont Leave Just Yet
Generation Radio - Before The Lights Go Out In Paradise
White Tyger - Heartbreak Hotel
The Midnight - Brooklyn.Friday.Love
The Summer Set - Street Lightning
Stand Atlantic - Nails From The Back
The Midnight - Place Of Her Own
Dayseeker - Dark Sun

I'll be playing something ridiculous like 1000+ great songs every time I spin my 2022 playlist well into the future. It's a killer playlist. Just a shame that when we're talking about albums, no artist could string together 10 killer cuts for any one truly great album, imo.
Yeah agree.. enjoy listening to my playlist more than playing my fave albums from 2022.

Are you sure this is a 2023 release? I feel like I've been listening to this for over a decade, already.
The song 'Ah ah ah yes yes yes' from that album is still the most streamed song on itunes in rock category.

And some more..

Lol, what’s so bad about it? I personally don’t mind it. I definitely prefer it to the painfully obviously computer generated ones we see now and then these days.
Ya, I pretty much agree with you. Am getting tired of album covers with all those gigantic planets and galaxies.

Merry Christmas everyone!

Okay. Where's the "rock" part of that come in to the equation, though? Because I'm not hearing it in either of those tracks.
8 more songs to go, so hoping atleast one to have some big distortion lol

33 secs first song, 11 secs second.
Pure shite.
33 seconds for the first one is quite a milestone for a hardcore rock music lover like you hahaha. You tried your best. Appreciate.

Tyson Ritter's New Band NOW MORE THAN EVER Announces Debut Album
The album will be released March 17, 2023, by Thirty Tigers.
Now More Than Ever is here to help make sure the pillars of pop and rock will never fall, and they're prepared to go down believing. "This is our little monolith," Ritter says. "It might be six feet tall amongst giants, but it's pure. And it's truth for us. It's saccharine as f*#k, and I love it."

What a turn around!!

Yep, don't see France getting back into the game.
