  1. Look at what Suncity's wikipedia page says:

Suncity Records is an Australian record label that specialized in releasing melodic rock and hard rock CDs. The label mostly focused on previously recorded, but unreleased, material. They were no longer online as of August 2011 leaving numerous bands without their compact discs.

    Hendrik Beerkiller - Drums

    IN THE BEGINNING...

Steelpreacher was founded in 2001 by Preacher after splitting-up his old band called “Claymore”. Preacher wanted to play raw old school heavy metal in the vein of Motörhead, WASP, Saxon, AC/DC and ACCEPT. No keyboards, no commercial attitude, just spikes, leather, beer and HEAVY METAL.

What has started as a idea for a solo-project, soon became a real band when MU (ex- “Claymore”) and a few weeks later Hendrik Beerkiller (ex- “Thorns of Sephiroth”) joined the “band”.

The song writing began immediately. All the songs were written for 2 guitars, even though there was no 2nd guitarist found yet. After only 9 months as a band, the recording of the first album “Route 666” began in a rehearsal-room. Even though it´s poor sound, the album made a huge impact in the underground scene.

After the recording of “Route 666” the band began to realize that the manning of the band seemed to be perfect as a trio and the band started to develop its own unique sound. The songs became much rawer, also stronger hard rock and epic influences can be heard as well.

    QUANTUM LEAP...

In 2004 the band recorded their 2nd album called “Start raising hell” which meant a quantum leap in the band’s sound, song writing and cover artwork. This album finally made Steelpreacher a known name in the underground.

On festivals like “Thrash till Death”, “Metal Cruise”, “X-Mas Metal Meeting”, Ultima Ratio”, “Kutten4ever” and the “Summernight Open Air” the band made itself a name as a true Hellraiser, playing together with bands like Sodom, Wizard, Stormwarrior, Piledriver, Gun Barrel and Desaster.

3rd ALBUM: MAKE IT OR BREAK IT...

In May 2008 the bands 3rd album called “Drinking with the devil” has been released. Beside 10 tracks, the album contains the first videos of the band “Hell bent for beer” as well as a Making of. The album became Demo of the month in Germanys “Rock Hard” magazine.

    REACHING NEW HIGHTS...

After playing in Germany and other countries all over Europe, Steelpreacher enjoyed more and more awareness and popularity in the Heavy Metal world, headlining most of the smaller festivals.

The 2011 released 4th full-length album “Hellraiser” (Mastered by Arne Lakenmacher and Kai Hansen) again raised the bar even higher making a big impact in the metal scene.

  4. MaGahee's only problem has ALWAYS been fumbling. He just DOES NOT protect the football. That fumble late in the 4th almost cost them the game.

I don't like Tebow very much but loved seeing Denver beat the much hated Steelers!!!! Divine Intervention or not.... that was a hell of a win for the 10 point underdog Broncos.

    Go RAVENS!!!!

  5. This was just released by Jack Russell's attorney in reference to the legal issues regarding JACK RUSSELL'S GREAT WHITE

    PRESS RELEASE

Jack Russell of Great White hires another Great White, attorney at law Michael Kelly

Jack Russell, lead singer of the famous rock group Great White, has retained the services of The Law Offices of Michael Kelly to protect his rights to make his living and play under the band’s name that he founded in 1978. Mr. Kelly has represented high profile rock stars in disputes for more than 35 years.

Although Russell has had several public battles with addiction and his health, he has always been the lead vocalist for Great White, and any other vocalist involved was there only to fill in until he was able to return. It has never been stated, in public or private, that Russell was leaving Great White permanently.

After several discussions with Great White management, in December 2011 Russell decided to continue as the lead vocalist for Great White, without the current touring members. He has brought in former members of Great White, as well as other musicians he has worked with previously, and in order to avoid any confusion, will be touring and performing under the name JACK RUSSELL’S GREAT WHITE.

Although the current touring members of Great White came out with a statement saying that they were “shocked” by Jack’s decision, it has since been discovered that prior to any conversations or correspondence with Russell, they filed an application (of which Russell’s name was omitted) to trademark the band name Great White, of which Russell was the founding member, and the only consistent member since its inception. This information was discovered by Russell’s legal team, and he was never informed of this by the other band members or management.

Along with attorney Michael Kelly, Russell has hired the legal team of Brian Acree and Brenda Carey, and all proper legal actions are now in motion. The Law Firm of Carey & Acree is praised among industry insiders for their expertise in these sorts of matters and have begun taking the necessary legal actions. He has also enlisted the help of his longtime friend and legendary entertainment attorney Stan Diamond. Despite threats, defaming and untrue comments made by Russell’s former band members and manager, he has every right to use the name of the band he founded, and no legal actions can be taken against anyone booking, promoting, publicizing, or working with Jack Russell’s Great White in any capacity, and all entities will be indemnified of such.

Jack Russell and Great White are best known for its platinum selling hard rock sound. Attorney Michael Kelly is well known in his industry as “The Great White.” Michael Kelly has 40 plus years of experience representing high profile clients, and the staff at The Law Offices of Michael Kelly has some of the best attorneys in the nation.

“As an attorney in California for over 40 years, I have had experience with many celebrities. Jack Russell is more than just a celebrity. He’s part of a band that has transcended many decades and many phases in rock music. It is a great honor to be retained by Mr. Russell and I wish him a lot of success in this New Year.” – Michael Kelly, Esq

    .

After an 18 month hiatus from the public eye, Jack Russell’s Great White will make its first appearance at the Rock-n-Roll GangStar Apparel pre-NAMM Festival & Jam at Delzano’s in Redondo Beach, California on the 14th of January, with a worldwide tour beginning February 2012.

  6. I'm just not that interested in Metallica anymore. I thought Death Magnetic was okay but with all the GARBAGE they've released since the Black Album, I just don't like 'em much anymore.

I'd easily rate every thrash band from that era that is still around over Metallica. Especially Megadeth, Overkill, Testament, Anthrax, Anvil, and even Slayer. All have been waaaaaaay better the past 10-15 years.

  7. Singer Robin McAuley will reunite with legendary guitarist MICHAEL SCHENKER (SCORPIONS, UFO) for their first full tour together in almost 20 years.

The full band lineup for the trek will be as follows:

    - Michael Schenker (Scorpions, UFO) - guitar

    - Wayne Findlay - keyboards, guitar

    - Pete Holmes (BLACK 'N BLUE) - drums

BEGGARS & THIEVES achieved great success in 1989 with their self-titled debut, but when the 2nd album was ready the musical landscape changed. Now the band returns with vengeance releasing the brand new CD "We Are The Brokenhearted".

Founder members Ronnie Mancuso and vocalist Louie Merlino were talking all these years about the possibility of a resurrection of Beggars & Thieves.

To everyone's surprise, the band rocked the audience at Firefest 2010. The NYC based duo recruited drummer Erik Gloege and a 22 year old bassist, Blake Newman, as a rejuvenating injection on the band.

"We Are The Brokenhearted" finds B&T offering a mature - but also fresh - take on the classic melodic rock that make them famous.

Merlino has lost nothing of his strong and focused vocals, as still holds a classic American rock mode and is stabil and clear, especially in all the ballad songs, while Mancuso developed his six-string technique and sound delivering a solid guitar work.

From the album opener "We Come Undone", onward you are treated to top notch melodic rock from a group out to prove they never should have been lumped in with the whole hair metal movement. This extremely melodic rocker is one of the best song of the album.

Next song "Oil & Water" has a calm and gentle intro, then the track develops into a stirring mid-tempo melody featuring an incredible guitar performance from Ronnie, with layers of guitars mixing acoustics with electrics.

But there's also some keen rock tunes on this album.

Songs like the great rocker "Innocence" and the smoking guitar riffs of "Seven Seconds" are quite edgy and decidedly unfluffy, whilst "Midnight Blue" have a more a determined groovy delivery and, at times, a warm heaviness.

"Stranded" lands into American melodic territory, and the soaring "Wash Away" is a heartfelt quality emotional ballad with smooth vocals.

"We Are The Brokenhearted" is loaded with the kind of timeless melodic hard rock that people can get into easily.

It's an entertaining platter of well-crafted songs, reflecting as much strong composition and musicianship, as emotion. Louie Merlino sounds amazing boasting his intact impressive voice with unique warmth and some sense of inner melancholy you do not come across often in post-80's singers. Ronnie Mancuso job is truly exceptional, orchestrating the music with tons of guitar layers, different sounds and tones. The new rhythm section is tight and solid, particularly the drums.

With "We Are The Brokenhearted", Beggars & Thieves has returned in great form, putting the band back on the map of the Melodic Rock scene.
