Jeff Pilson:
Hello 80’s metalheads, lurkers, and surfers! There is word again of a possible DOKKEN reunion, this time from former bassist, Jeff Pilson, who says “we’re actually working really hard to try and pull something together right now. It has to fall in spaces where there is time off [from my gig with Foreigner], so I don’t know for sure whether it’s gonna happen. So let’s just say we’re all friendly now, we’re all past all the decades-old crap, and we all talk and everything’s great. Now it really is just down to scheduling and trying to figure it out. Because, you know, you’ve gotta do it right, if you’re gonna do it. We all feel that way. Pilson continued; “We shared something very special together. I think we’re all at the point in life where we kind of appreciate it now. And if we ever get a chance to do some more with it, I think… It would be very interesting, because we’ve never been in a situation where there wasn’t animosity, so I don’t know. [Laughs] Maybe it won’t work. I don’t know. [Laughs]”

I am in FB contact with a band manager for both Rumble Street and Miriah. He is going to contact band members in hopes to obtain demos.
Also getting closer to getting demos from Mis-Fit/Mr. Right.

Just got some Tommy & The Love Tribe!

I like the first song and the last two. I'm not impressed at all. Very weak release:
We Are The Weekend 8/10
Hands 6.5/10
Monster 7/10
Child Of The Sun 6/10
Bullettime 7/10
Scandinavian Girls 5/10
Pretty Boy Swagger 6.5/10
Rock It 3/10
Destiny 8.5/10
Let's Get Cracking 7.5/10
65%
Sounds about right, but some lower scores for me on some.
Yeah.... even Bulletime is a stretch at 7/10.
This band has completely lost the plot.

I'm on my phone so I can't post the cover and you need to see the cover to appreciate it is the Upper Crust double disc (double d is right) live album entitled "Entitled". Epic on many levels.

City Fixx definitely rawks....dude has a slight Taime Down tone to his voice...
Yeah. Kevin Bern is a really cool dude. He's the one who sent me a 2GB stick of City Fixx demos and concert footage. Been playing this shit constantly. Great great band!
Those 3 other tracks on my YouTube page (and early in this thread) are with Zachary Taylor on vocals and was towards the end of the band.
-
Itunes have over a min. samples for each track, NOT impressed at all. I really think they are going down hill. Have it pre odered already to put in the collection, and there a coupe of good songs.
"coupe" de grace?

STAR CRYSTAL - Follow Me (2016)
First thing that impress from melodic hard rockers STAR CRYSTAL press release is their exotically named front-woman Susanna Radimovskaya sexy photos in an outrageously flamboyant tuxedo outfit. But wait, that's not the only exotic thing here, as this band comes from Ukraine and on their debut album "Follow Me" the deliver ten pretty strong '80s melodic hard rock / AORish songs.
Yes indeed, seems the Eighties have arrived to Ukraine as well, and Star Crystal are determined to make it big on the Sunset Strip. The band's aim is to recreate the female fronted glam hard rock of the '80s, when Vixen, Heart or Saraya dominated the genre's scene.
And they don’t do a bad job at all: Susanna Radimovskaya has a suitably fulsome set of pipes (and the looks), and there’s kicking chunky riffs, nice keyboard fills, big hooks and vibrant guitar breaks.
Production and mix could be a lot better, but who cares when you can rawk to tunes like ‘Follow Me’, ‘Hey You’ and ‘USA’. Or enjoy melodic numbers like 'I Go Home' or the pretty AOR of 'Forgotten Love'.
Despite the indie production minor flaws (at times over bright), the material and individual performances from Star Crystal promise a great deal, and it’s nice to hear this sort of music delivered with such verve by a young band.
Throw a little money at the production and it’s easy to imagine Star Crystal opening for some of the old stagers and giving them more than a run for their money.
Quite Recommended.

D Generation
1 hr ·D Generation Confirms New Album This Summer
20th Anniversary Performance of No Lunch May 6 @ The Studio at Webster Hall
NYC Album Release Show July 30 @ Irving Plaza
D Generation needs no introduction. Often credited for keeping NYC punk rock alive in the '90s, these five friends with unmistakable chemistry are widely regarded as one of the most important and unsung rock 'n' roll bands of the past twenty-five years.
Before they’d ever been signed, D Gen played sell-out concerts at such seminal New York City venues as CBGB, the Continental and Irving Plaza. Gear was trashed, bottles broken, authorities called, venues shut down, record execs turned away... but the lucky few hundred who were at these gigs were instant converts. A "scene" was born.
Now the classic D Gen lineup - Jesse Malin, Danny Sage, Howie Pyro, Michael Wildwood and Richard Bacchus - is putting the finishing touches on a brand new album. Recorded under Avenue A and on Rivington Street, D Generation remains connected to their NYC home and wouldn't want it any other way. Produced by Danny Sage, the record will be out this summer on the band's own Bastard Basement Records via distribution from MRI / RED, with a hometown record release show confirmed for July 30 at Irving Plaza in NYC. Tickets will go on sale this Friday March 4 at 10am EST.
Diehards who want to see the band sooner can check out their performance on May 6 at the Studio at Webster Hall in NYC (as part of The Grid festival), where D Generation will give a rare performance of No Lunch in it's entirety to honor the seminal album's 20th anniversary. It's a tribute to the anthems that first put D Gen on the international map. “There is no better sales pitch for the snot-rock classicism and teenage-warfare spirit of D Generation than [the song] ‘No Way Out,’” writes David Fricke for Rolling Stone, who hails the song a “stone classic.”
“New York punk that takes the best of the ’70s Street-rat sneers, tight black pants and artfully messed-up hairdos: D Generation are the stuff that popped-up 70s punk was made of…. tailor-made for grimy pinball arcades and Brand X beer-drinking binges.” –
