No matter who wins, we lose.
The unfortunate truth.
We're far from perfect up here, but you guys are welcome in Canada. ;}
Too cold. I'm looking for warmer weather..... not colder!

This sounds worse than the last disc.
I liked a couple of songs of off the last one, but over all not really a good album.
I agree. But I'm not really liking either of the new songs.

Here's my attempt, as I was listening to Dokken's "Back For The Attack" album as I saw this thread, so thought I'd make a story using all the titles on that album.
It was a good show today at the Big Top, the crowds were enthusiastic, and we had all put on such great performances that we were exhausted. Darkness had fallen, but as usual I was getting such a "Sleepless Night" due to the "Cry Of The Gypsy" from the caravan across the way. "Night By Night" this had carried on, but on this occasion they seemed different. Were they her usual cries of pleasure... or pain?
As everything became silent, I slowly opened my window, and could see the silhouette of a figure "Standing In The Shadows". I reached for the matches to light the candle on my bedside table, but it quickly illuminated the whole room as if it was "Burning Like A Flame". Not wishing to attract the attention of "Mr. Scary" outside, as I had subconsciously named him, I quickly extinguished the match and ventured out into the darkness.
Visibility was poor, but as I watched the mysterious man, he seemed to be looking for something. Maybe it was "Lost Behind The Wall". I must have been mad, but decided to confront him and offer to help. I asked him who he was. "Heaven Sent" me, he said.
He told me about the evil spirit that had descended upon the gypsy's caravan, kept her "Prisoner" that evening whilst slowly taking her soul with a long "Kiss Of Death". Never the type to "Stop Fighting Love", her promiscuous behaviour had this time become her final undoing.
Then the realisation dawned on me that this man was an angel, he wasn't in the slightest bit scary. He told me he had heard "So Many Tears", but had arrived too late.
Suddenly, he grabbed my hand and told me to run as the "Dream Warriors" had seen us.
I was scared, fearful that they were "Back For The Attack", and that I was to be their next victim.
We ran and ran, but they were closing the gap. I tripped and fell, lying on my back as I could see them rapidly approaching.
And then I woke, as the morning sun was shining though my window, hitting me right in my eyes as I lay there in my bed...
That was awesome!

Seems the mighty HAMMERFALL have a new CD coming out on November 4th.
Here's the first single "The Sacred Vow".
Swedish melodic metallers HAMMERFALL will release their tenth studio album, "Built To Last", on November 4 via Austria's Napalm Records.
The track listing for the CD is as follows:
01. Bring It!
02. Hammer High
03. The Sacred Vow
04. Dethrone And Defy
05. Twilight Princess
06. Stormbreaker
07. Built To Last
08. The Star Of Home
09. New Breed
10. Second To NoneCheck out the cover artwork below.
In a December 2015 interview with Spark TV, HAMMERFALL guitarist Oscar Dronjak spoke about whether it's "easier" for the band to write new music after 2014's "®Evolution" album. He said: "No, it's not easier. '®Evolution' was quite easy, because it's been a while, so we had a lot of inspiration that was dying to come out, Whereas now, I find it hard… For me, I always want to be removed from the live situation when I write songs, and it's very difficult when you know that in three weeks you're gonna go out on tour again."
He continued: "I don't think I would be able to do it if I was like I was when I was younger, but now I plan ahead much more. I have to. It's what Joacim [Cans, vocals] has always done, but I've never really cared about it because I didn't have to. But now I have a family and everything I have to take care of, so I think about things like that."
"®Evolution" sold around 1,900 copies in the United States in its first week of release.
HAMMERFALL will embark on a European tour in early 2017. The trek, dubbed "Built To Tour", will kick off on January 12 in Bremen, Germany.
"It's been a hectic time juggling the remaining shows of the tour with songwriting and, ultimately, recording, so the name of this venture feels very fitting," said Dronjak. "The 'World Wide ®Evolution' was a resounding success on every level with half of the shows sold out, and we can't wait to get back on stage again to have a gigantic heavy metal party every night with all our Templar friends!"

Serious question from afar looking in on the election.
Do people think Trump doesn't lie and isn't corrupt or do they just think both do and Clinton is worse?
Nope. Nobody likes either of them. Pretty much a case of who is the lesser of two evils??
You got Trump who has no real plan but talks a good game, and then you got Hillary, who scandle follows everywhere and she's been proven to be a chronic liar.
US is fucked with either of them but I prefer Trump simply because Hillary can't be trusted.
-
Haha. I'm not really pissed but I just want to say a big FUCK YOU to Roy Cathey of Cold Sweat/The Fifth for unfriending me because he didn't like me badmouthing Hillary Clinton.
You heard that right..... unfriending someone because they won't suck your ass and support the lying scumbag crooked Hillary.
The band The Fifth really fucking sucks anyway!!
So the ASSHOLE OF THE DAY AWARD goes to that thin skinned pussy Roy Cathey.

frontman Jon Bon Jovi explained, the sessions made an attempt to return the group to its roots.
I'm sure they've said that the last 5 albums.... its their standard promotion for a new release
Well, judging by that first single, I'd say it's a bunch of BS!

Doesn't hold a candle to Double Eclipse.
But what ever will?
True dat!

Good job man but I'm lazy as fuck.
In the process of doing another Little Story! Stay tuned!!

Well this was an idea that flopped miserably.
Still like my little stories though!

When only the singer and drummer remain from the original lineup, what do you expect? It really just sounds like Vaughn solo album. Nothing at all to do with Tyketto or Don't Come Easy.
-
Now this isn't too bad. I could listen to this.
1 out of 6 ain't bad.
-
HORRIBLE!
-
Won't even bother listening to this one after the last two horrible threads.
Not in English = Not for me
-
A bad cover for a bad album. This makes me laugh:

Horrible.
-
My God that is horrendous.
-
Production is bad but the songs are great!

It's like, for instance, Magic Dance being called Maqic Dance. Just stupid. Z is not, nor has it ever been, or will ever be a substitute for an S.
It's like JEFF being spelt GEOFF
Yeah!!!

MAD MARGRITT - Love, Hate And Deception (2016)
"Love, Hate And Deception" is the new album by hard rockers MAD MARGRITT, their 4th studio release on Perris Records.
Always fronted by vocalist, guitarist and composer Eddie Smith, the rest of personnel has changed since Mad Margritt's last effort (featured on this blog) but their classic musical approach to the genre remain intact.
For these Atlanta, Georgia hard rockers Mad Margritt their clockwork seems to have been hit by a lightning someday in the late '80s, as since the band formed almost three decades ago never changed their style inspired by the Sunset Strip glory days.
Although the group still proudly waves the hair metal flag in 2016, this new record has a heavier feel / sound to it than their previous recordings, modernized but always catchy and melodic.
There's only 9 tracks on "Love, Hate And Deception", but all are strong and avoid the filler syndrome.
Among my favorite cuts there's the pumping rocker 'Never Enough', 'Take Your Best Shot', the kick ass 'Liar' and midtempo 'It's Time I Told You Goodbye'.
Also we have a pretty killer power ballad in 'I'm Over You', still intense in its delivery.
If you're a late '80s American hard rock fan you'll love "Love, Hate And Deception". Mad Margritt is more than just a bunch of guys trying to capitalize on nostalgia for nostalgia's sake; it's genuinely well-written music influenced by the glory days of the genre but with a modern, updated sound.
Eddie Smith’s vocals remain sharp, and the guitar playing is standing tall on this new recording driving the proceedings still managing the melodic sound that will keep fans of the genre happy.

well my opinion is this song is good but there's too much modern influence especially in the drumming section for my taste.
I like, and can dig the heaviness, but I prefer some classic Testament touch incorporated which I think is quite thin here.
Well the basic formula of old thrash is still there, the album is still quite promising to touch the low 80% range
I agree with you. I don't like the death metal growls either. Give me back that old Legacy sound!
