It's a case of out with the old, in with the old as guitarist DAVE DALONE returns to the band he left just a few years ago.

"Ladies and gentlemen. In case you missed it. Please give a big welcome to our “new” guitar player Dave Dalone.

Dave has since the beginning been a huge part of the sound our fans have come to love. With his guitar skills extra ordinaire, combined with excellent songwriting skills, Dave really does not need an introduction. We could not be happier to announce that Dave Dalone is returning to H.E.A.T.

The band returns to active duty in the new year for recording sessions for an album due later in 2017.

Speaking of record companies out of business... Retrospect? I had a glance at the site yesterday for a random reason, and I couldn't help but notice that there has not been a new release for an age, and it looked dormant. Are they finished up too?

I think so. Sam hasn't even been on here at all in quite awhile with any news.

I didn't dig the John Bush era of Anthrax at all. I love Armored Saint, but never felt John was a good "fit" for Anthrax. I was relieved when Joey came back.

This new disc looks to be nowhere near the quality of Pandemonium or Motherland.

Odd statement, considering you previously said you love the two tracks above.

 

I mean all three tracks are good. Just not great. They had GREAT songs on the last 2 discs.

I haven't heard any more than the three so I'll reserve judgement.

 

The production on the original was obviously lacking, so if they stay true to the original songs and beef them up it could be really good.

I never really agree with this concept and can't think of one instance where it has been a success (the re-recording of an early album) so I don't imagine this will go well either, but the bonus tracks could be interesting. I will be interested to hear this, but I just don't think it's a good idea.

 

There is a basic fact, though. FM didn't suck back in 1986 when this was recorded, and they kinda do now.

 

The only one I would say was Mood Swings 2 by Harem Scarem.
