Looks like Dokken is finally gonna release the much talked about re-recordings of their classic hits:
"Dokken Greatest Hits Vol. 2" - a collection of all-new versions of tracks such as "Dream Warriors", "Breaking The Chains", and "Just Got Lucky", paired with several new songs and a cover of "Lies" by THE KNICKERBOXERS - is tentatively due in October via Rhino."
Cool!

Thanks for the info...checking up on what he's purchased lately, sure enough, he bought a copy of the exact cd I won from him. And the person he bought from has sold multiple copies recently, which means I'm getting a boot. Which in turn means he's getting a claim filed against him. Fuck, I'm tired of dealing with all these crooks on ebay lately!
-
Anybody else dealt with this character? Don't know for sure yet, but I'm fairly positive that he's selling bootlegs.
-
Great album! Let us know what else they play.
-
Sounds like he charged you for registered shipping & then just pocketed the money & sent it regular airmail...I had some jerk off seller pull that stunt on me once. Had to file a claim on him, too.
-
I had problems with this guy, too. Waited forever for a cd & finally had to file a claim. His email didn't seem to be working when I was trying to contact him either...
-
I'm diggin' it...kills anything off Lost Highway.
-
I've picked up everything except for Gynger Lynn, & UZI is my fave so far. All of them have some great songs, though & well worth picking up. Looking forward to the next batch of releases!
-
Mine doesn't skip, either.
-
is it possible to steal them?
-
I liked IV, too...don't see why so many people bash it. But from Reb's comments, maybe the new one will be more in line with their earlier albums. It would be cool if they pulled a Dokken & made a really 80's sounding record.

KARMA FOR WINGER FANS IN OCTOBER:
A brand new Winger studio album is set for release in October on Frontiers Records. Titled Karma, the only indication of the direction of the record comes from this Reb Beach post from his website:
"Anyway, Kip and I have started the fifth Winger record, and I think you all are going to be so happy with it. I fly to Nashville next week to finish the guitars. It's very up-tempo, Motley Crue-ish stuff. The tunes are, you know, party, good time, bang you're head stuff. It has the elements of being the best Winger record yet, so we'll see. I did the best solo of my career on the outro of a Headed for a Heartbreak type song, that I know! It's two minutes long!!"
Always excited to hear about some new stuff from Kip & Reb!

Of course I'll pick it up, especially if it's gonna be the 2-CD/1 DVD pack described here. That sounds sweet as hell. Glad I didn't lay out big import $$ for that "Jigoku-Retsuden" set of re-recorded hits from Japan now. I had a feeling it'd surface on this side of the ocean eventually. Gene wouldn't be satisfied with just sucking the $ out of Japanese fans.
On another KISS related note, has anyone seen the KISS M&M's advertisement yet?
How freaking COOL is that??
Supposedly there will be limited edition KISS M&M candies available in October to coincide with the album release... can't wait to see those.
KISS M&M's? Sheesh, does Gene have no shame?

I'm looking forward to the live stuff. Their debut album had a few good songs, but I've heard that they were a little ballsier live.

From melodicrock.com:
A SONIC BOOM FOR KISS FANS:
It looks like we might have a title for the new Kiss album - Sonic Boom. The album is due in stores October 6 via WalMart and like Journey set before them, the Kiss package will feature a disc of new material, a disc of re-recorded hits (already released in Japan last year), plus a DVD. The 3-Disc set will retail for around US$12.
And this from hardradio.com:
According to Trademark Electronic Search System (TESS), the forthcoming KISS studio album will be called Sonic Boom. KISS recently invited the press into the studio to listen to some songs from their upcoming new album. Here is what Guitar Player Magazine's Editor wrote: "Heard 5 songs. If you dig KISS, you're gonna dig this new album. Paul (Stanley) sings his ass off. Eric (Singer) plays some amazingly powerful drums. Gene (Simmons) was finally made to play all of his bass parts (apparently, in the past, if someone had a cool bass idea, he let them play it), and he DOES have a pretty driving sound. Finally, Paul and Tommy (Thayer)'s guitars sound HUGE - with some fab riffs and '70s-style solos."

I checked out a couple youtube clips of Nelson & thought he sucked. Good riddance...& welcome back Bush (hopefully).

GO AWAY SCUMBAG!...sheesh, think he got the message?
-
I'm rootin' for ya Pete...kick some ass!
-
That has to be one of the greatest videos ever made...funny as shit & a great song!
-
Really? I always assumed Andy was the main man back in the day.

Rob Marcello's guitar-work NEVER sounded like this 20 years ago. I'm not saying Danger Danger SHOULD sound like they did in 1989, I'm saying they DON'T.
Marcello wasn't playing with D2 20 years ago...that was Andy Timmons.

Am I the only person on the planet who missed the Maiden comment? What the heck did he say?
-
These sound really good! September is shaping up to be a great month...new Megadeth, Danger Danger, & Slayer.
-
Now that's killer! How Metallica is more popular than these guys is a mystery to me...
And thanks, Keith...youdaman!

I'd tell the guy to go fuck himself. This has sounded wrong from the beginning...first he ignores you forever...then he claims he's been on vacation (bet he finally got back when that paypal claim got filed, huh)...then he sends you the wrong tracking number. Here's what it sounds like he does...he charges for registered mail, only sends a few of his packages that way & pockets the rest. Then if somebody requests a tracking number he can at least give them something.
Heck, at least he went through the trouble to make up all these excuses with you...I never heard back from the guy when I dealt with him.
