  1. Yes, it is Christoph Baumgartner

Just got an email from him, he says he was on vacation for 3 weeks and apologized and sent me the tracking number. Good news is he shipped it and it has been delivered. Bad news is that I looked it up and he sent the CD to Alexandria, Virginia and I live in Lawrence, Kansas. So he sent it to the wrong address (or he sent me the wrong tracking number)....to be continued.....stay tuned.

OK, I sent him an email on Friday telling him the tracking number he sent was wrong or he mailed my CD to the wrong place. I wait all weekend, no reply. Finally I email on Monday again asking him if was on vacation again. I get an email back from him saying that he refunded my money so take back the negative feedback on ebay. Well, turns out he didn't just refund my money, I won my Paypal dispute so Paypal gave me my money back, he didn't just go and refund it like he tried to make it sound like he did. So maybe he would have and maybe he wouldn't have? Anyway, I got another email today basically demanding I take the bad feedback off because I got my money back now (all in bold red letters in the email even). I'm inclined to just ignore him for a while....then tell him no. I don't think I should have to remove it just because Paypal gave me my money back, its been a bitch getting him to reply to any messages (even if he did go on vacation, you mean to tell me he didn't check his email for 3 weeks?, I just have a hard time buying that).

So basically, got my money back via my Paypal dispute and he is acting like he refunded it and is demanding me to remove the feedback. I'm curious to hear what others here would do?

I'd tell the guy to go fuck himself. This has sounded wrong from the beginning...first he ignores you forever...then he claims he's been on vacation (bet he finally got back when that paypal claim got filed, huh)...then he sends you the wrong tracking number. Here's what it sounds like he does...he charges for registered mail, only sends a few of his packages that way & pockets the rest. Then if somebody requests a tracking number he can at least give them something.

Heck, at least he went through the trouble to make up all these excuses with you...I never heard back from the guy when I dealt with him.

  2. Looks like Dokken is finally gonna release the much talked about re-recordings of their classic hits:

"Dokken Greatest Hits Vol. 2" - a collection of all-new versions of tracks such as "Dream Warriors", "Breaking The Chains", and "Just Got Lucky", paired with several new songs and a cover of "Lies" by THE KNICKERBOXERS - is tentatively due in October via Rhino."

    Cool!

  3. I liked IV, too...don't see why so many people bash it. But from Reb's comments, maybe the new one will be more in line with their earlier albums. It would be cool if they pulled a Dokken & made a really 80's sounding record.

  4. KARMA FOR WINGER FANS IN OCTOBER:

A brand new Winger studio album is set for release in October on Frontiers Records. Titled Karma, the only indication of the direction of the record comes from this Reb Beach post from his website:

"Anyway, Kip and I have started the fifth Winger record, and I think you all are going to be so happy with it. I fly to Nashville next week to finish the guitars. It's very up-tempo, Motley Crue-ish stuff. The tunes are, you know, party, good time, bang you're head stuff. It has the elements of being the best Winger record yet, so we'll see. I did the best solo of my career on the outro of a Headed for a Heartbreak type song, that I know! It's two minutes long!!"

Always excited to hear about some new stuff from Kip & Reb! :banger:

  5. Of course I'll pick it up, especially if it's gonna be the 2-CD/1 DVD pack described here. That sounds sweet as hell. Glad I didn't lay out big import $$ for that "Jigoku-Retsuden" set of re-recorded hits from Japan now. I had a feeling it'd surface on this side of the ocean eventually. Gene wouldn't be satisfied with just sucking the $ out of Japanese fans.

On another KISS related note, has anyone seen the KISS M&M's advertisement yet?

:rofl2: How freaking COOL is that??

Supposedly there will be limited edition KISS M&M candies available in October to coincide with the album release... can't wait to see those.

KISS M&M's? Sheesh, does Gene have no shame?

  6. From melodicrock.com:

A SONIC BOOM FOR KISS FANS:

It looks like we might have a title for the new Kiss album - Sonic Boom. The album is due in stores October 6 via WalMart and like Journey set before them, the Kiss package will feature a disc of new material, a disc of re-recorded hits (already released in Japan last year), plus a DVD. The 3-Disc set will retail for around US$12.

    And this from hardradio.com:

According to Trademark Electronic Search System (TESS), the forthcoming KISS studio album will be called Sonic Boom. KISS recently invited the press into the studio to listen to some songs from their upcoming new album. Here is what Guitar Player Magazine's Editor wrote: "Heard 5 songs. If you dig KISS, you're gonna dig this new album. Paul (Stanley) sings his ass off. Eric (Singer) plays some amazingly powerful drums. Gene (Simmons) was finally made to play all of his bass parts (apparently, in the past, if someone had a cool bass idea, he let them play it), and he DOES have a pretty driving sound. Finally, Paul and Tommy (Thayer)'s guitars sound HUGE - with some fab riffs and '70s-style solos."
