I just checked the announcements page & didn't find anything about required free shipping w/in the seller's country.

When did they post THAT rule? I've never heard of it, & haven't gotten an email from them about it.

When I hear the word "infestation", I get this image of a road leading to a city off in the distance, & a huge heard of ratts descending upon it. Now THAT would look cool (or at least I think so).

Definitely looking forward to hearing John Levin's leads,im assuming these are true to form renditions (as they do 'em live) and not another Lynch Mob 'Revolution' deviation ? Wasn't this supposed to come out last year?

Yeah, hopefully they're true renditions of the originals. As good as the classic Dokken songs are, the sound quality is for shit. Hearing these rerecorded with a littlemore "umph" should be kick ass. Of course Don won't be hitting those high notes, but I'll take the trade off.

I for one am really looking forward to hearing Levin's take on the classic songs.

 

Betcha they're gonna sound pretty much like George Lynch is playing on them... Levin's playing is so Lynch-ian (I made up a new word!) that you can almost imagine Don beating him with a stick in the recording studio, like "No, no, NO! You have to sound MORE like George Lynch!"

True, it's a "best of", but it's rerecorded versions of their classics with a few new songs thrown in. I for one am really looking forward to hearing Levin's take on the classic songs.

Dokken has returned with a brand new single entitled "Almost Over". The latest song from the 80s melodic rock legends is available at both Amazon.com and www.itunes.com, with a short sample available here:

The song is from Dokken's upcoming Greatest Hits CD to be released later this year through Deadline Records. The new collection will include a collection of all-new versions of tracks such as "Dream Warriors", "Breaking the Chains" and "Just Got Lucky", paired with several new songs and a cover of "Lies" by The Knickerbockers.

I reported him, also. It was fucking hillarious how obvious it was that the person I spoke with at ebay was unconcerned. I had to practically force her to look at one of the auctions to see the partial id he's using to shill bid, & then pointed out that this second id had ONLY been bidding on this one particular seller's auctions. She couldn't have cared less. I got the standard "we'll investigate to see if the 2 id's are connected" bullshit. What a joke.

To add insult to injurt, they charge 18 bucks for shipping, & that's in the US. It's even more for international mail. You can save yourself around 15 bucks by buying off ebay. There are a couple power sellers who are selling them for 59 bucks + 7 bucks shipping.

Dude...are you just trying to pick fights with anybody on the board who disagrees with you? Unless I missed something, he got the cd's mailed on Monday (or within a day or two), right? He sent you a tracking number. Now he just wants you to pay for the 2 extra cd's he added to your package in good faith. He probably already has a boss who pisses in his ear about being on the computer...he doesn't need anybody else telling him how to manage his time at work.

On a side note...yes, I don't want to use up my minutes on my cell phone because it's a company phone. They have me on the smallest calling plan available & I already run over every month. PM's/emails are free...what's wrong with using that? Sheesh!

Sorry James, but that's really lame. If Jon was sick with the flu & couldn't get to the PO for a week or so, you should cut him some slack. I know when I had that crap earlier this year it knocked me on my ass for 5-6 days & I didn't even feel like getting out of bed, much less going to the PO to mail some cd's. Also, are you taking into consideration the time of year? The mail always runs slower around Christmas...at least it does in my neck of the woods. You guys seem to have caught each other in bad moods...Jon feels like shit from being sick (& probably having 2 tons of work to catch up on), & you were getting antsy waiting for your cd's to arrive (we've all been there). But the bottom line is that you owe him for 2 cd's & should pay for them.

I've got both discs you mentioned & haven't noticed any skips. I'll double check again this evening, though. Have you tried playing them on a different player (car)?

Meh...I think the album is pretty awful. I've listened to it twice now & not a damn song sticks in my head except for the lead single (& even it's nothing to write home about). Damn it, if Motley, Dokken, & Whitesnake can give us a retro-sounding album, why can't these guys? I seriously doubt if I'll ever pull this one out again...

This may sound racist as hell, but at this point I just don't give a fuck. I'm so sick & tired of calling ebay, Amazon, paypal, etc & getting stuck with someone of obvious Middle Eastern descent who speaks broken english with a thick accent. I can't understand them, they can't understand me, & it's a total waste of time. I want badly to ask for an American...someone actually born in this country for whom english is their mother tongue, NOT a secondary language, but that's probably not PC...
