  1. Right , because its ok for David to spout lies but if I try to defend the person you hate then thats not cool.

    More selective bullshit from Choc.

First of all, I don't "hate" anyone here...don't go putting words in my mouth.

As far as Dave spouting lies...the one business practice we all know is true is Sam's choice of recorded media.

And lastly, at least in Dave's posts, they are civil in tone. You (& Sam) seem to not be able to post without using the words "fuck" or "bullshit".

    Grow up.

  2. David , you are the LAST one to be preaching about Sam's signings you underhanded backstabbing sack of shit.  This is a guy who purposely goes out trying to steal contracts from under Sam and tells the artists that he has sold 8,000 units of Blue Tears and that he already has "preorders" for a disc he hasn't even got a contract for yet.

So do us a favor David , shut the fuck up.  Sam's kicking your ass in releases , in sales and NEVER lies about what the artist is going to get.

Your piddly-ass $4 per disc (royalty) is a joke and will lose you a contract every time.

You are a sorry excuse for a human being and you are clueless about the practices of Retrospect so do everyone a favor and concentrate on your own company.

       :ahole:

Keep up the "Sam speak"...we all know where it got him & I'm sure you will be following him shortly.

  3. I have said ONCE that a cd was being re-issued by Retrospect so please get your facts correct.

I thought it was common knowledge that a re-issue was happening - mistakes can happen , as you have just witnessed in your own statement.

So yes , I'm sure the ebay police and retrospect-detractors were only too willing to point the finger and hurry as fast as they could to email Kevin about Retrospect.

The only question now is who was first.....Stormspell , Koogles , Zachary or you??

Shall we do another poll?

Could we please give the "ebay police" thing a rest...it's getting a little tiring.

  4. OK, just my two cents...I've bought several cd's from Michael & think he's a stand up guy, so I hope this isn't taken as a personal attack on him...while I have absolutely no problem with anyone making a profit on a cd, I would like to think that when someone here in our community finds out about a hard to find cd for a good price, that they would share that info, not just keep it to themselves. When koogles found out about the Quota cd, he posted the info...when I found out about the Falcon Scream cd, I posted the info...when Dan was presented with the Hot Boy cd's, he posted the info. I know the Hot Boy cd wasn't exactly the same situation in that we were only limited to 2 copies a piece, but I'm sure if Dan wanted to he could have purchased the lot of them & then auctioned them off a few at a time & made a bundle of cash. Maybe not...don't want to speak for Dan here...that option may not have even been on the table. Point is, I consider all members here friends (even the ones with whom I've had heated exchanges), & would like to think that when one of us stumbles across a good find, we spread the good word. And then list them on ebay for all the suckers... :P

  5. Also, when you file the claim with paypal...it will save a lot of time (& help your chances of gettin a refund) if you file for a product not received rather than receiving the wrong item. If you file for receiving the wrong product, paypal will make you mail the item back (at your expense) before granting a refund...& from the way you've described the asshole seller, he may claim that the cd never arrived.

  6. Correct me if I'm wrong, but you're not supposed to use "handling fees" as a way to recoup ebay's listing fees & final value fees...just as you're not allowed to charge extra "handling fees" for accepting paypal. Those fees are the cost of selling items on ebay. I would forward a copy of the seller's email to someone at ebay's safe harbour dept. & see what they have to say about it.

  7. My wife & I went to see King Kong last week & we both thought it sucked royally. To me, the special effects looked totally bogus (especially during the dinosaur stampede scene)...Jack Black, whom I really like, was terrible (blame it on the script, not bad acting). And the damn thing was LONG for no other reason than that...just to be long. This thing could have easily been trimmed down to 2 hours without losing anything relevant to the story line. At least I had a free pass... :lame:

  8. T-Bone , I think there's probably about 2 people at this board that actually like you.  You are negative , unhelpful and a worthless opinionated individual who does nothing but stir the proverbial pot with your self-indulgent rhetoric.  How's about you take the hike eh?

    :fu:  :offtopic:  :fu:

Dude, you're way off, here. I for one consider T-Bone to be one of the nicer members of our community & have had many pleasant exchanges with him...you come off as a know-it-all jerk. I would suggest you wait 'till you have a few more months under your belt before you spew forth any more of the verbal diarrhea...I for one am sick of reading it.

  9. [Now that's what I call FUNNY label name :)

but now let's see... Who in their right state of mind would re-issue WINGER - In the Heart of the Young - the most popular $0.99 bargain bin find ever???

    I smell something fishy

Yet again Stormspell puts his foot in his mouth. According to him EVERYTHING is fishy and EVERYONE is booting. You really need to get a life. There are about 6 or 7 LEGIT re-issuing companies in the world right now. Accept it and move on. The ebay police-thing isn't working for you. Are all Russians this 'fishy'?

...stormspell was just questioning the logic behind re-issuing a cd that's readily available in discount bins nation wide for a buck (& Winger isn't the only one). You know, it IS possible for a re-issue lable to be legit but dumbass at the same time. Get a life, indeed!

  10. Everyone needs to be on the lookout for this guy...so far his user id's have been oasis197101 & mythcd. He name is WANG JIAN & he basically just wastes your time. He was set to buy almost 20 cd's from me & kept changing his mind regarding how he wanted his cd's shipped (global express, global priority, with cases, without cases). After 2 weeks of running back & forth to the post office getting postage quotes for him, haggling about the price & asking me to please hold the cd's for him 'cause the money was on the way, he cancelled my paypal money request & I haven't heard from him since. Complete jerk off :2up:

  11. Then again,

a seller with 99.8% positive feedback with over 16,000 feedbacks isn't really MIS-LEADING a whole lot of people is he??

    food for thought....

Jinky...didn't mean to point the finger at any specific seller. Just meant that if a buyer thinks an auction is "fishy" for whatever reason, he should go with his gut & avoid it. Sorry if you took at as a personal stab at you. :drink:

  12. I guess my main concern about music on CDR is the durability of it...does anyone have any info on this? I've seen reports on how under extreme conditions (heat, cold, moisture, etc) cd's can lose some of their encoded information. And we all know that scratched up discs are prone to skipping. I just wonder how CDR's will preform over the long haul.

  13. OK guys I didn't mean to start anything here.I'm rather new to collecting. My knowledge of what all the terms mean is rather lacking. This is why I turned to Dan or Tbone or any other helpful hinters to clarify this for me.It wasn't meant as anything negative toward the seller. As far as elementary goes,it's only elementary for the experienced collector, not new comers longing for a little understanding. For everyone who tried to clarify I thank you.Chocularok I understand what you're saying .Thank you for the clarification !

No problem...basic rule of thumb...if the auction description is confusing, a lot of times it's intentional & done for a reason. Best to avoid & look elsewhere. Happy hunting :drink:
