  1. I just picked up a Blu Ray player yesterday for the first time and a few live concerts in blu ray format to go along with it. The first Blu Ray I watched was Toto - Falling In Between which is a pretty damn good show to be honest. I've also ordered the new Journey concert on Blu Ray which I hear is really good too. I'm hoping to pick up Avatar and a few movies soon as well.

  2. Just to let others know, there was a problem with the packets that mine and Geoffs CD's were sent in so they didn't make it through international customs. Gary has done a great job in fixing this problem and now has re sent the CD's to us. As Gary says, there will be more CD's in stock shortly. For those who haven't yet checked out the YouTube links above with some of the songs from 'Tracing Starlines' - give them a try, I think quite a few people around here will appreciate them. Excellent stuff IMO.

  3. Whitesnake - Here I Go Again

Harem Scarem - Stranger Than Love

Alias - After All the Love is Gone

Bad English - Straight to Your Heart

Def Leppard - Have You Ever Needed Someone So Bad

    Warrant - Heaven

Lou Gramm - Just Between You And Me

Diving For Pearls - New Moon

The Distance - On the Tail of a Hurricane

    Dare - Abandon

For me it was really hard to pick just 10 songs. But like others I go for catchy songs with huge choruses.

  4. You guys have been so screwed. :fun_84: There isn't any cd to buy (anymore), only a digital copy. And it's on sale. $5.

Man that sucks. I paid $25.98 for 2 copies of the CD - one for myself and one for a friend. And all I got was a low quality (128kbps) digital download which I could have bought for $5.

  5. Justin and Geoff, I'm still waiting on stuff shipped from the U.S. in December.

Not sure what is going on but there's some holds up somewhere. I did hear something about some new customs screening system though.

Yeah there must be some kind of hold up with the US postal service. Although I have received every other CD I ordered after this one. Anyhow, I'll just continue to be patient and hope it arrives sometime soon.

  6. I've been waiting 2 months now for this to arrive. Contacted Gary once already and he said he would re send with a free t-shirt but still nothing. Pretty disappointed in the service. Geoff has yours arrived yet?

You guys did end up getting them, right!???

No, still nothing. I now have the MP3's thanks to the link you sent me, but the CD's I ordered never arrived. I had kind of given up. Would be nice to have the actual CD to add to the collection though as I do really like these songs.

  7. Yeah, I avoid the news but did catch this last night, actually awoke this morning with these people on my mind. That must be dreadful, being there at this moment knowing full well what is about to hit them. Those stats seem insane. As you say, I hope dearly it calms down a bit, or ideally, as you say, just goes away.

I saw them evacuating the Whitsunday Islands last night, and people in masses getting out of Cairns and Townsville. Anyway, what do you say? My thoughts are certainly with them. As you say, tough, tough summer for QLD already, and this is certainly no help. :(

Yeah the good thing about this is that people have had time to get out (lets hope most took that advise). They transfered something like 300 patients to hospitals in Brisbane. This cyclone is being described by weather people as the biggest storm front to ever hit queesland.

  8. Recent pick-ups incl.:

    Norway- Night Dreams (1997)

    The Hitmen- Cosmic Dayz (1994)

Bob Halligan (aka Bob Halligan, Jr.)- Window In The Wall (1991)

    Bob Halligan, Jr.- Sprung (1994)

    Baton Rouge- S/T (1997)

Poor Boy- S/T (1996) (FF Indie Austria) :headbanger:

    Night Ranger- Dawn Patrol (1982/1990)

    Last Autumn's Dream- Yes (2011)

Ugly Kid Joe- Menace To Sobriety (1995)

Sweet F.A.- The Lost Tapes (2008)

    Laos- We Want It (1990)

Paul Laine- Can't Get Enuff (1996)

    Cinderella- Still Climbing (1994)

Eclipse- The Truth And A Little More (2001)

    Guns 'N Roses- GN'R Lies (1988)

    Hey Jeff,

That 'Window in the Wall' album is excellent. Let me know what the 'Sprung' album is like when you've had time to hear it, I'm pretty interested in that one.

Some other really good titles there too, namely the Norway, Laos and Paul Laine discs.

  9. I'm not sure if this has been making any headlines elsewhere in the world, but one big fucker of a cyclone is about to hit Australia's East coast, around a place called Cairns in North Queensland. Just to give an idea of the size of this thing, check out this picture comparing to some other well known cyclones from yeras gone by.

Cairns has a population of ~120,000 people and is a huge tourist destination here in Australia.

A lot can change in 24 hours so lets hope this thing calms down a bit or does a u turn back to sea.

First the droughts, then the floods, now this. Mother nature is not very happy with us Queenslanders.

  10. I've gotta say I don't mind this album. Like you John, I'm more into Hard Rock and it's not often I venture into Heavy Metal territory. But for some reason I got into this one. I think the band is made up of ex White Wizzard members so maybe that had something to do with it.

  11. Have done some quick looking around and cdwow.com.au are selling them for $18.95 plus free shipping. Better yet all CDs are $1.50 off today so if you order before midnight you can get them for $17.45 each.

    Awesome. I'll check it out.
