UCONN has advanced to the sweet 16,
All the top seeded teams are advancing
And the SEC got fucking CRUSHED. 8 bids, with only two teams, Tennessee & Alabama, surviving the opening weekend.
Oh, I guess the Big 12 did as well, with 8 bids, and only Houston & Iowa State still dancing.
25% of the Sweet Sixteen from the ACC (UNC, NC State, Duke, Clemson)
Looking forward to the next round!

From their FB page:
Alcatrazz wish to make the following announcement:Back in late 2020 the brilliant Doogie White came in to help us out with our then already booked live dates after the departure of the previous vocalist (those dates were ultimately postponed to late 2021 due to the Covid lockdowns).
We all had a GREAT time...and thus, one thing led to another and before we knew it we had made two fantastic albums and toured considerably in a nearly 4 year period.
Now our schedule is getting busier and busier, as is Doogie's with his very fine solo work... and with that, the inevitable clashing of dates in our respective diaries, and needless to say, the impossibility of him being able to be in two places at one time.
We remain on very very good terms with Doogie and cannot thank him enough for his contributions to the band, he is very welcome on our stage anytime, as are all past Alcatrazz alumni.
Current Warlord vocalist and someone already known to many Alcatrazz fans (as co-producer and also contributing songwriter for Alcatrazz's past 3 albums) Giles Lavery will be stepping up for the 2024 live dates - and with that we will be reintroducing many songs from the Alcatrazz past, including some not played in many years.
Giles's first show is 22nd of March in New Orleans, lets all make him feel welcome and please lets also give a massive thank you to our dear friend Doogie White for everything he gave to this band since 2020, he is a true pro and a great person!
Doogie has a video message to the fans that we will share later today as well.
Jimmy, Gary, Joe, Larry.

Maybe it's because I've heard GnR a couple thousand times by now, but I much prefer "Fall to Pieces" by Velvet Revolver over "Sweet Child o Mine" at this point in my life.

Haven't picked up Saxon yet, but as far as metal goes, I love the new Durbin album as well.
I'll have to investigate that Durbin.
I'd count Striker and Mick Mars among the best metal releases as well now that I think about it.

I wasn’t thrilled with the singles as they came out, other than “The Serpent and the King”, but I’ll be damned if they haven’t grown on me while listening to them as part of the cohesive package that is “Invincible Shield”. I broke down and picked up the Target exclusive to get the three bonus tracks, and I enjoy them too. Overall, a damn fine addition to the JP discography. Is it better than “Firepower“? I’m not there yet, but time will tell. 🤔
This one and Saxon have set the bar pretty high for metal this year. 👍

Evidently, Tichy has joined up with Gene Simmons' solo band, and the Daisies replaced him with Tommy Clufetos who'd helped them out before. Be interesting to see how much more there is to the story....

Been listening to this one on and off since Friday, and must say I'm VERY impressed. This is easily his best solo release in my opinion, and is much more melodic than his work with Creed. This one might just be this years equivalent to Godsmack for me personally i.e. late 90s musicians going in a more melodic direction and it working quite well!

. Having a hell of a time trying to get my cd out there. People who have heard it dig it just don't have the contacts ya know. I'll send you a cd let me know what ya think. peace
First, I'd recommend starting a YouTube page, uploading your songs there, and hash tagging some similar bands in your description to possibly draw in some new listeners.
Second, set up a Bandcamp page. People will be able to listen to and purchase your album there.
Third, and this is nitpicky, but you seem to be presenting yourself as melodic rock, when you're closer in sound to classic metal; perhaps look at getting your disc into the hands of people who regularly do metal reviews. Not saying that some folks here might not appreciate your music, but you may be going after the wrong target audience, Just my opinion there...

From the Newman FB page:
Newman are very excited to reveal the artwork and the release date for their new album "Colour In Sound". The UK Melodic Rock band was formed back in 1997 by Steve Newman and quickly gained a great reputation after releasing their debut, and subsequent "One Step Closer" albums. A string of high quality releases have ensued throughout the last 20 years insuring a strong and loyal following. Highly respected by fans and fellow musicians alike, this new album will add to the bands great legacy and underline the reason why Newman are considered to be one of the UK's top Melodic Rock artists.
The new studio album (Newman's 14th) will be released through AOR BLVD Records on May 24th. A new single and video will be released in the coming weeks, watch this space for further news.

NOTHING will change. He will simply be replaced by someone more willing to do the work for the pittance of money on offer. Whether that ends up being better/same or worse...who knows.
So you know what ADV was being paid for his work at Frontiers? Referring to the “pittance of money on offer” implies that you do and feel that it’s an inadequate amount for the tasks performed.
