Of course, I think you've heard a new song or 2 yourself this week! * Listening to Widowmaker - Blood & Bullets right now....good stuff! Gonna put in Craig Goldy - Better Late Than Never here in a minute....

  5. Hey Blue, you can listen to some of their stuff at: Nine 24 to see if you like it......they're a rowdy bunch! * Look closely at the girl you see on the page with them.....you might just notice something interesting about her! It's Alex Arden, a former Pentouse Pet of the Month......
  6. Let's see, been listening to: Desperado - Bloodied But Unbowed (Never been a real big Snider/Twisted Sister fan, but this one RAWKS!!! Love "The Maverick", "There's No Angels Here" & "Emaheevol " .......big shout out to Christine on this one! ) Nine 24 - Five Bucks a Cup (A sleaze rock concept album....little strange but good...... ) Johnny Lima - Made in California ( Can't bring myself to stop playing this one yet! )
  7. Been listening to.... Marchello - Destiny (Kinda light, but A LOT of talent displayed here...I believe I prefer their 2nd, unreleased disc over this one;good though!) Y&T - The Ultimate Collection (Y&T rules! ) Johnny Lima - Made in California (I'm 5 songs in on this one, and it ROCKS! metalmaniac I see why this was at the top of your list for 2003....excellent stuff!)
  8. Been listening to.... Tesla - RePlugged Live (DAMN what a great live disc!) Swingin' Thing - S/T (EP) (Got a CD-R of this one...not bad, but I DEFINITELY wouldn't pay $60+ dollars for an original!) Tyketto - Take Out & Served Up Live
  9. Currently in the middle of a double dose of Y&T....listening to "Down For the Count" and "Black Tiger"......damn I love this band!
  10. Well, naturally, some of the songs sound like good ol' Y&T, but quite a few of them are good, blues-based hard rock. Dave's a helluva guitarist as well as vocalist, and it really shines on his solo stuff...if you're into the bluesier side of rock, you'll definitely like it.
  11. Listening to Meniketti - S/T and Mennen - Age of Fools at work today....I've got the 55 year old lady I share an office with singing along with Joss Mennen....kickass!!
  12. Been listening to..... AdrianGale - Re:Program Awesome 80s style hard rock! 7 Months - S/T Interesting band...part progressive, part AOR. Kind of a unique sound, but none of the songs jumped up and grabbed me....not bad though. Big Bad Wolf - S/T WOW! Listening to this disc as I type, and all I can say is.....check the comments section here at HH,and BELIEVE THE HYPE! This sucker kicks @SS!
  13. Listening to some new goodies over the last 24 hours.... McQueen Street - 2 (Welcome back McQueen St! Unlike so many other bands who try to update their sound to sound more "modern", these guys stick to their guns and deliver a disc that picks up right where their self-titled debut left off.....GOOD STUFF! ) Firehouse - Prime Time (Have only heard a few songs so far, but liking what I'm hearing ....) Craig Goldy's Ritual - Hidden in Plain Sight (One of the UGLIEST CD covers I've ever seen, but behind that horrid cover, is a disc full of great hard rock....thanks to those who recommended it...Blue Charvel, Christine, and Mike G.)
  14. Gotta add... Mr. Hate - fragments to the list of favorite cheap CDs! This one can usually be picked up on eBay for around $5, and it ROCKS! If you're into straight ahead hard rock akin to Tesla,Dokken,Scorpions, Talon,Vicious Mary, etc.... grab yourself one of these the next time the opportunity presents itself; you won't be sorry!
  15. Let's see, still listening to the Y&T - UnEarthed disc, along with: Mr. Hate - Fragments (WOW! Had never heard of these guys, and snagged it offa eBay for $5 just for the hell of it...and I'm glad I did. Excellent hard rock from these German guys, with influences ranging from Tesla & Dokken to Shotgun Messiah and Crue.Lead singer sounds like Marq Torien AT TIMES,but actually has a pretty unique voice. Good stuff!) Meniketti - S/T & Dave Meniketti - On the Blue Side (Heh-heh, I'm on a Meniketti/Y&T kick here lately) Peril - Kiss of Fire (RARER than a virgin after prom night! Hard rock outta Michigan with some glam influences present. The production is a little rough in places, but overall a pretty good indie release.)
  16. Listening to Y&T - UnEarthed Vol.1 right now.....DAMN! Leave it to Y&T to put out a collection of demos & unreleased recordings that blows away most of the music coming out today! This f*cker ROCKS! "Standing In the Fire" is an asskicker of a song, followed up by a ballad, "In the Name of Love" that I can not believe didn't make a record before now....AWESOME! Well worth getting IMO!
  17. Let's see, been listening to the following this weekend: Tesla - The Best of... (Man these guys F'N ROCK! Looking forward to their new release in 2004!) Mechanix - Regenerator (KICKASS disc!) D.C. Cooper - S/T (DC is one helluva vocalist) Don Dokken - Up From the Ashes (Love Dokken, but this one is harder for me to get into....a coupla good songs here)
  18. They may have sucked live, but I really enjoy both the Dirty Deeds CDs...working on getting their "Blown" CD released under their current moniker of just "Deeds".....
  19. Listening to Dirty Deeds - Danger of Infection at work today....GREAT melodic metal!
  20. Heh-heh, I'll have to see what I can do for ya MJ!
  21. I've got an MP3 of the song "Someday",and that's the only thing I've heard from their 2nd one...it is indeed pretty good....I'd like to hear the entire disc sometime!
  22. Here's a mix that I've put together....this one is designed to "pump" ya up anytime of day! You can kinda guess the theme here..... Bulletboys - Smooth Up In Ya Whitesnake - Slide It In Poison - Talk Dirty to Me AC-DC - You Shook Me (All Night Long) Danger Danger - Slipped Her the Big One Def Leppard - Slang Kiss - Uh! All Night D'Priest - Ride You Through the Night Van Halen - Everybody Wants Some!! Kingdom Come - Get it On KingOfTheHill - I Do U Warrant - Cherry Pie LA Guns - Sex Action Lillian Axe - She Likes It On Top Swingin' Thing - Let's Do It With the Lights On Vinnie Vincent Invasion - Do You Wanna Make Love W.A.S.P. - Animal (Fuck Like a Beast) Ratt - Lovin' You's A Dirty Job Sweet Teaze - Do It Till It Hurts Trixter - Give it to Me Good Y & T - Eyes of a Stranger
  23. Different strokes I guess! My fave offa BFTA is "Night By Night"....why that song wasn't released as a single/video is BEYOND me???
  24. Heh-heh, be careful not trip on anything in there.....lots of stuff laying around.....and mind the cobwebs over in the corner! I agree that Tooth & Nail is an AWESOME Dokken disc, but for me, BFTA was the ultimate Dokken assault on the senses! That CD took me through high school, and has been with me ever since!
  25. Let's see, been listening to the following: TNA - Branded - Finger on the Trigger (I like the first release better, but MJ, you'll be happy to know that Branded is growing on me!) Wanted - Over the Top (This Norwegian "Wanted" is quite a bit better than the American Wanted IMHO) DB Rox - S/t (A one man band....just heard the first few tracks....not bad....'sposed to be kinda rare! ) Second Self - Mood Ring (I'd never heard of 'em ,but grabbed 'em offa eBay....pretty decent indie glam rock release)
