  1. Different strokes I guess! My fave offa BFTA is "Night By Night"....why that song wasn't released as a single/video is BEYOND me???
  2. Heh-heh, be careful not trip on anything in there.....lots of stuff laying around.....and mind the cobwebs over in the corner! I agree that Tooth & Nail is an AWESOME Dokken disc, but for me, BFTA was the ultimate Dokken assault on the senses! That CD took me through high school, and has been with me ever since!
  3. Let's see, been listening to the following: TNA - Branded - Finger on the Trigger (I like the first release better, but MJ, you'll be happy to know that Branded is growing on me!) Wanted - Over the Top (This Norwegian "Wanted" is quite a bit better than the American Wanted IMHO) DB Rox - S/t (A one man band....just heard the first few tracks....not bad....'sposed to be kinda rare! ) Second Self - Mood Ring (I'd never heard of 'em ,but grabbed 'em offa eBay....pretty decent indie glam rock release)
  4. Look, I think everyone's who's dealing with this sspert person needs to NOT WORRY about negative feedback, get together, and go after him/her......in the end, if he/she goes to leaving a bunch of retalitory feedback, all you gotta do is offer proof to eBay that the seller has broken eBay's Terms of Service (TOS), which selling bootleg CDs is DEFINTELY violating the TOS,and you CAN get their feedbacks removed from your profile(I've actually pulled this off twice in recent years). I think the main issue right now, is... is there someone out there who's actually paid for their auctions that they won, and gotten a CD-R/bootleg instead of the proper merchandise? Until someone actually has the "fake" merchandise in their hands, it's gonna be tough to prove/do anything, because, as far as eBay is concerned, it boils down to the fact that you haven't paid for the auctions you've won. Think of it this way....sspert may indeed intend to sell a bunch of CD-Rs/Bootlegs to people, but he/she may indeed own the real discs when it comes down to it.....catch 22 there....gonna be interesting to see how this all pans out. Hope eveyone here comes out ok!
  5. LMAO!!! Yeah it is!!! I had never even heard of McQueen Street until recently!! I have a friend who sends me CDs he's sure I'll like.........sometimes they just hit me between the eyes, like this!!! Man.....that's almost better than se..........well you get the idea!! Operative word there being ALMOST! Listening to The Cutt at work this morning...."Feel The Music"'s on right now......excellent slow grinding music!
  6. My mailbox was filled with new music over the weekend! Been listening to the following on & off all weekend through today: Laudamus - Lost In Vain (Pretty good Christian hard rock; message is a bit thick if you really listen to the lyrics) Paul Shortino's the Cutt - Sacred Place (Finally got around to picking this one up; you can't go wrong with anything by Shortino!) Ivory Tower - Heart of the City ( I think the same thing happened with this disc as with Harem Scarem's "Higher" for me on a personal level. I'd read so many glowing reviews & comments across the internet, that I half expected my ears to orgasm when I put it in...but alas, just a slight "rise". This is a good cd, but didn't live up to my over-hyped expectations) The following 3 CDs combined to absolutely KICK MY ASS this past wekend: Cry Havoc - Fuel That Feeds the Fire Mechanix - Regenerator Fury - S/T Some of the last few years BEST releases! You can't go wrong with any of these! Listening to the following this evening: Lord Grey - Lady of the Lake Skrapp Mettle - Sensitive ("That Load" had me ROLLING!) Paul Shortino - Stand or Fall So much music, so little time!
  7. Just thought I'd let everyone know that broadwaysmusic is back up and running on eBay...left 'em feedback for my Wanted CD finally!
  8. You go MJ! Say, if you like Kix, you might just like Funny Money too....whatcha think?
  9. Groannnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn!! That's really bad!! But don't you mean T AND A ??? -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------] You know me all too well MJ! Listening to my latest acquisitions at the moment: Eyes - S/T (Damn this one ROCKS! I've always liked Jeff Scott Soto's vocals, and from what I've heard so far, this CD showcases his talents well!) The Screaming Jets - Tear of Thought (Hey, I got it for a penny + S/H!)
  10. I tend to do like Captain Howdy, and when I find an eBay seller I like, I usually bookmark their auctions page, and look for more of their auctions. Some of my favorite eBay sellers are: starlighthoney shirerecords www-kissmydisc-com 80smetalcds metalismylife metalmayhemmusic These folks all ROCK! I've only done the one deal with broadwaysmusic, but I was VERY pleased with them as well!
  11. TNA............TNA..............TNA........... Looking forward to hearing this one BIG TIME! Everything's better with a little TNA!
  12. Hey Charvel, you ought to look into getting the Shortino/Northrup disc "Back on Track". It's been recently re-issued with 4 bonus tracks by Shire Records. I haven't had a chance to get through the entire CD yet, but everything I've heard so far ROCKS! Shortino is one of my favorite vocalists! Shire Records
  13. Like Sands Through the Hourglass...SO Are the Days of Our Lives.......
  14. Well, if you paid by check, do a "Stop Payment" on it. If you paid via Pay Pal, go file a complaint with them. If you used a money order, there's probably a way to do a stop payment on it. If you paid with cash, just kiss it goodbye, and write it off as a lesson learned. Not much else to do....
  15. Well, if you paid via Pay Pal, you can go file a complaint at: Pay Pal Buyer Complaints I've actually heard of fraudulent sellers bank accounts being frozen through this process!
  16. "Three of the CDs I won were later confirmed multiple collectors as never issued to CD format. " OK,so you were bidding on titles that were never actually issued as CDs..... sounds like you were exactly what this seller was looking for... I'm not trying to be an ass here, but seems like you kinda got yourself into this predicament.
  17. OK hardrockingcollector, in your first post, you said your "suspicions had been confirmed" ...how about elaborating on that? How are you SURE this person purposely set out to screw everyone? If you've got hard evidence, I'd think you'd want to share it with everyone.Let's hear it....
  18. Just playing devil's advocate for a moment here... If you pull up Sspert.hotmail.com's eBay info, you can see that until recently this person had always been a buyer, NEVER a seller(may not have been clear on selling guidelines). It appears as if he simply decided that he was going to sell his entire collection at once, and listed everything he had. This may simply be a case of the seller not thinking he was doing anything wrong, and literally listing EVERYTHING he had. Either way, whether on purpose or by accident, it sucks for anyone involved in a transaction with this person; I'd probably hold onto my cash, and take my chances on the feedback if I truly thought I was paying top dollar for a CD-R.
  19. Quick MJ...go throw in Finger on the Trigger by TNA and think to yourself "Branded is coming,...Branded is coming!"
  20. Gotta add Dirty Deeds - Real World & Danger of Infection to the list of good cheap CDs! Got both CDs offa eBay for less than $7,and these boys ROCK! Melodic metal with influences ranging from Iron Maiden(who from what I gather kind of "mentored" the band)to Saxon; a real NWOBHM sound. I love this stuff! "Kill the Pain" is probably my favorite song so far, but they're all good. These guys are now known as just "Deeds",and have a new website at: Deeds Homepage *Got Outlaw Blood for 99 cents + s/h ,and am awaiting its delivery! whiplash1972
  21. Well, maybe I can put some folks minds at ease here. I won the CD "Wanted:Kenny James - Hollywood CA" from broadwaysmusic, and since he/she had a high feedback rating with no negatives, I sent CASH to pay for my purchase. Within a week or so, I received positive feedback, and I received the CD in the mail today;as described! The only shame is that since the seller's account has been suspended, I couldn't leave he/she any feedback. As far as I'm concerned, broadwaysmusic is A-OK! whiplash1972
  22. Man o man, the mailbox yielded a lot of new listenin'! Currently spinning here: Kinki Stunt - S/T (Only 7 songs, but good stuff!) Dirty Deeds - Danger of Infection - Real World Wanted - Hollywood CA Paul Shortino/JK Northrup - Back on Track (Shortino's one of my faves!) Mennen - Circle of Live whiplash1972
  23. Let's see, been listening to: Wanted - Over the Top (Norwegian band doing glam...not bad!) Nine 24 - 6-Pack (Think Bulletboys x American Dog) Shag - S/T (Still listenin' to this one Captain Howdy! The band name does seem funny, especially when ya think of Austin Powers...."Shall we shag now, or shag later?" Funny shit! ) whiplash1972
  24. I must be psycho, I knew you'd been listening to that! whiplash1972
  25. You sure its the same band? I wasnt aware of a second album being released (although I am aware or an earlier band from Seattle called just Scream). Any info on this album would be appreciated! Yep, same band, with vocalist Billy Fogarty replacing Corabi who'd left to join the Crue. The CD was never released due to Hollywood Records going bankrupt in late '93/early '94. The track listing is(in no particular order, since it was never officially released): 1. Ain't Got Nothin' 2. Another Rock 3. Comin' Down 4. Get it Together 5. Good Lookin' Out 6. It's a Long Way Down 7. Kick Back 8. Kool world 9. Love Can Conquer Anything 10. Miss Thang 11. One Foot in the Grave 12. What You See You can usually download the entire CD at : www.racerxband.com/scream but the Racer X website is being re-done right now...hopefully when they get back up and running, the sound files will return. whiplash1972
