  1. Any news updates...on the Retrospect releases of cd's....!!???? :party421::beerbang::drink:

ya...is retrospect doing anymore cd releases or are all downloads now? I for one have never bought a download and can't see myself ever buying one...just like the physical item too much.....kind of like porn and real girls...just aint the same thing....

  2. if you like good customer service....stay away from Directv.....we recently had to just bail on those idiots...we had a receiver that was faulty and we argued with them for 6 months...I kid you not..6 months to replace it....I have insurance that covers that kind of thing but they would not approve the switch blaming everything from my tv, to sunspots to voodoo to who knows what...finally when I said the words...DISH NETWORK they replaced it....but when they did they they neglected to list the reason for the switch correctly...so they listed it as a upgrade instead of a replacement of faulty equipment...the final straw was they took away our local hd channels...then we switched as our contract was up...

or so it seemed...when I tried to cancel they told me I could not because I was still under contract....I tried to explain to them that I couldn't be unless I had a 7 year contract...but they finally checked and seen the notes and seen it was listed incorrectly...so I cancelled...

but then...(yes there is more) they took cash out of my account due to a early cancellation fee...had to fight with them for 10 days and finally got the $400 back...so I guess what I am saying is, don't go with Directv, save your time and just throw the money in the gutter.....

  3. This from the "CONCERTS" Thread when I posted about them after Rocklahoma:

Every year there is a band or two that come out of nowhere and blow me away. This year there were two. The first being Loveblast. Very cool songs and very talented to boot. If you haven't heard these guys yet... check them out.

The other band that came from nowhere to grab my attention was DIEMONDS. They hail from Canada and actually have a few releases already. DIEMONDS is a female fronted band that knows how to rock. This band by far had more energy than any other band at the whole festival. Man this chick can sing... such a powerful voice (and she isn't afraid to use it). I kept thinking this band was a perfect mix of Priest and Warlock. I picked up both discs they had with them and they have been spinning ever since. This was my favorite band at the festival. Keep an eye out for this band.

Still spinning the 2 Diemonds releases a couple times a week.

    :party421:

Hey Dave...I don't see where the 2nd cd of diemonds is available yet...or was there 2 before this new one? I bought the in the rough ep...would like to get the others asap...thanks ,MIke

  4. well, I received the cd back that he wanted the refund for...and he actually sent the right one back...and it does not skip....which was his complaint....I think either he did not like it and wanted his money back, or he copied it, then wanted his money back....either way I have to refund his money, but I am gonna take every second of the time ebay has allowed me to do it....not gonna hurry at all...but this will be the last of anything he ever gets from me....I am also going to be contacting all the people he has bought from, gonna take me some time, but I want to warn them what they might get if they choose to deal with him...I am sure he is gonna rip some of them off too...and they are not aware of this thread so maybe that will give dan the numbers he needs...some of them have to have some similar experiences....the good news is I got offered more money than he spent for this cd, right after the auction ended, so I will get my cash back....thanks dan for the help with my ordeal...and best of luck on your situation....MIke

  5. Predictable like clockwork.

Levine signed for the parcel yesterday afternoon, and this morning I wake up to find a SNAD dispute filed through PayPal.

Claims the package was smashed and that he sent it back unopened. Says that he "tried to message me through eBay", but funny that my eBay Inbox shows no such communication exists.

I just got off the phone with the Merchant Support Division at PayPal. A very nice lady gave me several suggestions, since we're in a holding pattern until a package arrives at my end.

She seconded the idea of being sure to open the parcel in front of a postal supervisor and having them write a statement as to the returned parcel's contents.

I gave her his previous eBay username and she is forwarding both eBay userIDs to the Fraud division for an investigation into repeat claim abuse.

Anyone here at HH who has had a claim filed against them by Martin Levine (either as windsoreyes or windsoreyes2) for SNAD (not non-receipt claims), please contact me via PM with the following information (if you don't mind sharing it with me):

    1. Your eBay userID at the time of the claim

    2. The email address on your PayPal account

    3. The date he filed the claim against you.

    4. The PayPal transaction number associated with the claim.

    5. The dollar amount of the claim.

    6. The end result (you had to refund, he withdrew the claim, etc.)

You can find this information by logging into your PayPal account and going to the Resolution Center. You can view closed cases as far back as 18 months. To get the transaction number, click on "View case details" for a claim and it will be the long number in parentheses as part of the title.

I will compile this information and forward it to the Fraud Division at PayPal, since I have an open dispute with him and have initiated a fraud investigation.

    Let's get this crook.

    Thanks,

    -Dan

    PM sent Dan!

  6. Here's another update on a demo tape I'm selling. Got a starting bid from a wellsthatright2011 with zero feedback. Get get a message from another ebayer warning me that wellsthatright2011 is none other than Chris Sarti from Penna. So, I cancelled his bid, around an hour ago I got a bid of 111.00 from a Kishinnyman2 with a feedback of 2, then a retraction from him. So, I blocked him also. I'm I getting too parnoid from the Chris Sarti and Windsoreyes or did I do the right thing ?

I tried adding both of those userIDs to my blocked bidder list and got a message saying they do not exist...

I had the wrong spelling in the orginal post. kishinnyman, wellsthatsright2011, is the correct spelling

cool added these to mine as well..thanks for the update!

  7. I would never, ever, think of defrauding someone out of their money...it just would never occur to me....everyone deserves to be treated with respect and honesty....I know I am not perfect and don't claim to be...but I try everyday to be a better person than I was yesterday....I just could not sleep at night if I knowingly planned to do this type of thing....but I am gonna do my best and see what happens and move on...life goes on...it has to....

  8. Mike,

If you believe this person is going to pull a fast one on return, here is what you need to do (it's easier if you have a post office box where you have everything shipped to rather than a home address):

    1. If you are picking the parcel up at the post office, do NOT exit the building. Insist upon opening the parcel in front of a postal supervisor to witness the contents of the parcel. If you receive the parcel somewhere other than the post office, do NOT open it until you are in the presence of the supervisor.

    2. If the package contents are NOT what you sent to the buyer, have the postal supervisor write an affadavit on postal letterhead stating what WAS in the box, along with their contact information. have them sign and datestamp the letter with the postal handstamp cancel. Have the supervisor be specific. "a CD" or "a broken CD" is not adequate. They need to say what the title of the cd in the box was and its condition, i.e., something that directly refutes the merchandise and condition listed in the PayPal transaction.

    3. Submit that letter to PayPal via fax.

    4. Follow up via phone with PayPal regularly.

This has worked for me personally. While the postal supervisor cannot attest to what SHOULD have been in the box, they CAN say what was actually in there.

    -Dan

Hi Dan, man you read my mind! that is exactly what I was planning to do....but I was not sure if that kind of evidence would still be enough for paypal or ebay....I am sure I will not get back the cd I sent...I will be totally amazed when I go to the post office and open the package and the right cd pops out...but miracles do sometimes happen..lol...thanks so much for the advice, I am going to follow everything you said to a T.....who knows what might happen....in all my years on ebay, I have not had this happen..I guess I have been very lucky.....I did have one buyer pay me then I shipped then paypal pulled the funds back because the buyer did not really have the funds...(not sure why they told me to mail it) but then he actually sent the cash again later, and I got paid...Thanks for the good advice!

  9. So it's been almost a month since the auction closed & still no money? Can't say that I'm surprised. But it sounds like you're doing the right thing in requiring him to pay with a money order. Keep us updated.

Oh I have been paid. Matter of fact he paid the next day. I sent it signature required and he received it the 21st of May. I am just waiting for him to claim that the cassette was defective or something. We'll see.

well, I got bit right in the ass by this dude...I had him blocked as windsoreyes but not windsoreyes2...he bid and won two of my auctions and paid instantly...but I went ahead and gave him a chance and sent the cd's....anybody wanna guess what my reward was? yep...got slapped with a paypal claim today, saying the more expensive cd he won from me was defective...I guess I am lucky he is not claiming them both....so...ebay pulled $140 out of my paypal account until it gets worked out...I went with the option of having him return the cd to get his refund...but usually that means what I will get back is a box of rocks with a tracking #......I am not counting on the getting the cash back...I deserve this if I am this stupid...but I am gonna be spending some serious time, warning all buyers and sellers to block him......anyway, everyone needs to keep on their toes, if your gut says to not trust someone, don't do it! I called ebay and they spent the entire conversation thanking me for being one of the longest standing accounts they had ever seen...I know my friends have been their longer...but I have been there since 98, pretty good time I guess...all of that means doodly squat when getting a claim filed on you....$140 lesson re-learned....

    MIke

    Mike,

Maybe he was ticked that you had him blocked as windsoreyes? Also, earlier in this thread, you said you had windsoreyes2 blocked because he was bidding and retracting bids. How did he get through with bids?

Thanks for offering great items in your auctions, Mike! I hope you are able to triumph over this dishonest loser eventually.

I appreciate the kind words...I just did not look closely on the id, I thought it said windsoreyes2 but it did not..I did look, just not good enough.....my biggest mistake though was not still cancelling the transaction even after he won it...he was talking with me and I just fell asleep at the wheel kind of...

  11. To echo everyone else SAXON IS KILLER!!!!

Can't wait for this sounds amazing!

Gotta Agree! Saxon has always been and still is Awesome, great metal band! This sounds incredible, Biff's voice never seems to tire...Gonna pick it up the second it is available!

  12. When Del contacted me regarding this I was blown away, I had talked to him just before his passing, but had no idea that had happened.....we did not get along too well at first, not quite sure why, and we could never seem to complete a trade...still...recently we had opened up lines of communication again, and had started over, just talking about music...not sure where it would have gone, but I wish we would not have wasted those days argueing...but getting to know each other better...my heart goes out to his family...what a shame...

  13. I remember hearing something about John Bon Jovi and Richie Sambora stealing songs and also the theme for the blaze of glory album from Mariah, even going so far as joking and laughing about stealing songs from bands that submitted songs to them, hoping for help, and instead got screwed....seems like Sam told me that a while back....maybe he can refresh my memory on it...but to me where there is smoke, there is usually fire...one accustation, can be dismissed, but when you get two, and three, and four from different musicians, regarding different songs, albums, years...etc...starts to form a trend....and in my mind, who knows what songs have been stolen, but without the money to go up against them, people just don't pursue it....kind of like Ben Roethlisburger of the steelers...one chick screams rape, then two...etc...things start to stink...lol...

Everytime I see JBJ doing anything, I am reminded of all the bands that probably contributed to his success, by trusting him with songs then getting ripped off...to me every big hit he had is subject to doubt....
