His songs always remind me of something I'd hear on the radio in the early '90s. Love it! He also recently did a cover of this classic: -
Not sure how many post-rock/shoegaze fans we have here but one of the genre's biggest bands just dropped a new album and it's excellent.

Dwight Yoakam - A Thousand Miles From Nowhere “I’ve Got bruises on my memory…” Great song & great line from one of my favorite country artists (there aren’t many). -
That's good to know because that one was pretty lousy. A couple of good songs, the rest are skips for me.

Gave the new song a listen.... Decent song that does have a more classic feel to it, but overall I've had a hard time with their vocals since Austin left. I just constantly keep comparing this to their earlier stuff and for me it just pales in comparison. That said, still love their first few albums and Take It To The Limit is still one of my favorite more "modern" albums.
