  1. well, right now it is my own personal Rockstar Soundtrack. I took the Steel Dragon songs and mixed them with songs more fitting the attitude to make a much better soundtrack. you know songs by Skid Row, Pyn Syren (which fit great is Sister Whiskey) some Warrant from the Dog Eat Dog album and some other attitude hard rockers. Some of the songs on the original soundtrack just doesn't flow with the mood of the steel dragon songs.

  2. got some news about a New CD.

    Hi Gang,

The Official release date for the next studio CD from 38 Special is set as

June 8th. Not a bad Birthday present if you ask me :) They have a tentative

title for the CD that they are bouncing around and as soon as it is set in

stone I'll give you the details. Things are starting to move along in the

production phase. They will be pulling everything together SOON and hitting

the studio for the mixing section of the project. Graphics and design work

are in the near future as well. I will be working on a TOTAL redesign of

the entire website to go along with the CD release so if you have any

suggestions of things you would like to see included in the new site please

let me know. I am open to new ideas to kick things up a notch. Don says the

CD is an "Exciting, Loud, and RUDE, in your face power CD that is sure to

grab your attention right from the opening seconds!!" His excitement is

    contagious!!! :)

    Tom

  3. I heard them on the radio every Sunday night on 103.5 i believe. They were always the best "local" band and i knew that and i'm from Virginia, three hours away. I would have loved to seen what would happened if they would have gotten the attention about 1988, they would have been a big Mtv band. They really take me back to some memories. The song THINK ABOUT LOVE was all over the radio in our area. special memories. shame i never got to see the band. I can't wait to get the second album.

  4. I can't find any clips but here is a short biography.

Danish hard rock band the Pretty Maids was formed in 1981 by singer Ronnie Atkins and guitarist Ken Hammer; adding guitarist Pete Collins, bassist John Darrow and drummer Phil More, the group recorded a demo which earned them a contract with the British label Bullet, resulting in the 1983 release of their self-titled debut EP. That same year the Pretty Maids supported Black Sabbath on their tour of Scandinavia, and after replacing Collins with guitarist Ricky Hansson and Darrow with bassist Allan Delong, the band entered the studio to record their first LP for new label CBS, 1984's Red, Hot and Heavy. Hansson's tenure proved short-lived, however, and Collins returned to the line-up for a tour lasting through 1985; two years later, the Pretty Maids resurfaced with Future World. While recording the follow-up, drummer More was severely injured in a car crash, and the resulting LP Jump the Gun did not appear until 1990; by the end of the year a series of defections reduced the roster to the original duo of Atkins and Hammer, who recruited bassist Kenn Jackson and drummer Michael Fast to cut 1992's Sin-Decade, scoring a major hit in Europe and Japan with the single "Please Don't Leave Me." An acoustic effort, Stripped, appeared in 1993, followed a year later by Scream; in 1995, the Pretty Maids also issued their first official live record, Screamin' Live. Subsequent releases include 1997's Spooked and 1999's Anything Worth Doing Is Worth Overdoing. ~ Jason Ankeny, All Music Guide

  5. The last two albums I have been into as of late I just rediscovered them after a long time.

The first is the band Prophet----thier first cd with Ted Poley on drums and he sings one song and splits time on another. They have a very Kansas/Styx feel to them.

The second is a Kivel Records band called RAIN----at first i didn't like them, that is why it gathered dust but a friend wanted to sample a bunch of different stuff I have and I pulled this out and took another listen and it sounds a lot like modern day Bon Jovi.
