Mercyful Fate - Don't Break The Oath
One of my all-time favourites

Moving away from Night Ranger (although I'll add that 'Don't Tell Me You Love Me' is a stone-sold classic), an album that is DEFINITELY overrated as far as I'm concerned is Slayer's 'Reign In Blood' ... yes, it's got 'Angel Of Death' on it ... yes, it's the shortest/fastest (delete as applicable) thrash album, like, ever ... etc. ... etc. .... but I think 'South Of Heaven' and 'Seasons In The Abyss' are far superior ....

I like the rockier stuff that he does (although I appreciate that he can't just keep recycling 'Rebel Yell' over and over again), but I might give this one a listen. That said, I saw him with Bon Jovi at Milton Keynes YEARS ago, and he was bloody awful, so there's a part of me that wants to give this a wide berth!

Me too all quality
Tough one. Shaun Of The Dead is classic, but I really liked Hot Fuzz. All 3 are good, and I also like Paul.
I've never seen Spaced, though it's been on my list for a minute. And I agree, Shaun of the Dead is my favourite flavour of the Cornetto trilogy.I'll still with the Pegg/Frost scenario...I just watched
The Worlds End
I enjoyed it,for me better than Hot Fuzz but not as good as Shaun...Spaced remains my fav stuff from them though
'Run, Fatboy, Run' is also pretty good (albeit that there's no Nick Frost) ... with Dylan Moran delivering one of my favourite lines in a film: "The only serious relationship I've been in ended in a broken collarbone and a dead meerkat."
Not "That is the second most disgusting fluid I've had in my eye"?
Pretty much anything Dylan Moran comes out with is funny ...
Especially his character on Black Books.
Actually... that's all I know him from. And he played the twat on Shaun of the Dead. What else has he done that I ought to check out?
He's not that much of an actor - apart from bit parts in 'Run Fatboy Run' and 'Notting Hill', you probably won't have seen him IN anything other than the utterly-brilliant Black Books. Your best bet is to seek out some of his stand-up stuff

The Amateur Transplants ... originally two medical students putting a 'medical' spin on modern pop and rock songs, now a vehicle for Adam Kay (no longer a medical student) on his own ... not for the easily offended, but some of their/his stuff is bloody funny!

So, me and the boy JamesEagle headed off to Tufnell Park on Friday to see Mylidian (absolutely fantastic - far better than I was expecting), Silent Opera (I thought they were rubbish, JE quite liked 'em) and Orphaned Land (in a word - brilliant) ... the posters and other advertising led us to believe we'd be seeing Benighted Soul (who I was looking forward to), but for some reason we ended up with Silent Opera instead ... *sob* ...
Tomorrow: Skalmold, Arkona and Eluveitie in Islington ...
