What did you think of Looper, Nightrain? i liked it up 'til they started the stuff with the little kid, then it went way off course.
Last night I re-watched A Bittersweet Life, one of my favorite flicks from the past few years. It's a character study set in the world of Korean gangsters with a couple of brilliant action set pieces thrown in for good measure. The ending shoot-out is one of the best I've seen in years.
You can watch the ending here but be warned in contains SPOILERS!

Red Dawn remake. Meh. I like Chris Hemsworth alright but this remake was totally unnecessary and just falls flat in my opinion.

"Chopping Mall" (1986)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RLMyInUPQ2g
In this so-80s-it-hurts camp classic from Roger Corman, a group of teenage mall employees plan an epic after-hours party after the stores close. Unfortunately their revelry is rudely interrupted by the mall's trio of high tech security robots, who are transformed into mechanical killing machines after lightning zotzes their main computer. Hilarity, of course, ensues.
Goofy (on purpose), violent, action packed fun that features one of the best exploding head scenes ever put to celluloid.
That movie is awesome! Did you catch all the movie posters on the wall in the pizza joint? Plus you can never go wrong casting Barbara Crampton in your horror movie.

Listen to "God is Dead?" here:
http://www.kegl.com/...st/artist/3693/
Warning: It has annoying "I heart radio" ads during the song.
I found the song to be just OK. Nothing great. I'm a bit sick of Ozzy myself, so I'll have to hear more before I decide to buy the album or not.

I went to see G.I. Joe: Retaliation yesterday and it was a good, but not great, action movie. The cliff-side ninja fight was awesome though!
Special effects look awesome ... does the plot suck (as expected)?
Well, there's not much OF a plot. Madman wants to take over the world. There's a little more to it of course, but not much. There's a bit of an unnecessary sub-plot involving Storm Shadow.
One strange thing I noticed...(highlight to see)
**SPOILERS**
They blow the fuck outta London, but no one seems to care. Like, at all!

James, my older sister took me to see Jaws when I was about six years old. I'm now almost 44 and I still won't go in the ocean past knee-deep. And I'm not kidding!
Last night I watched A Very Harold & Kumar Christmas and thought it was better than the second one, but not nearly as funny as the first.

Do you guys like Heartsounds or is that too pop punk for y'alls taste? I dig it myself.
Not sure it'd be for me. Sounds really fast - like the old school punk my brothers used to listen to, like Pennywise and Millencollen and that stuff.
You heard Fenix TX, Melody Fall or Allister? They're pretty cool bands in this style, but not quite as fast and a more melodic.
I listen to a lot of pop punk like Teenage Bottlerocket, Riverdales, chixdiggit, etc. so I guess I'm just used to the speed of the music.
I've heard Fenix TX (and like them), but not the other two. I'll check 'em out.
Last movie you watched?

Nightrain, no I haven't seen "The Chaser" but it looks similar to "I Saw the Devil." Other recent Korean movies I've seen are "A Dirty Carnival" (another gangster movie) and "The Man From Nowhere." Both are worth watching.
