  1. Strangely, I've never really thought of "Soundgarden" as Grunge.

"Alice in Chains" (I wish my surname was Chains, so I could name my Daughter "Allison", BTW.) definitely have their moments.

"We Die Young" is one of my favourite tracks ever. "Stone Sour" do a great version.

I've never cared for "Pearl Jam". It would be a great name for a Sleaze band however.

    I love The Apprentice.
I hope he loses and makes more series :)

Maybe, if he wins there will be a new season of "The Apprentice" starring Mike Pence.

    It wouldn't surprise me.

Perhaps in the final year of his second term, the Donald might put Mike Pence up against, I dunno, let's say Pauly Shore, Kanye West, Rosie O'Donnell or Joy Behar for the Vice Presidency.

  3. I just posted the first one in "Song of The Day", then I thought i'd start a "Mashup" thread. I love them if done well and this guy is a Master.

I'd love to hear of any that have caught the attention of you guys.

I think the last one should appeal to Cody San.

I'mma need to get a file off you. I'll throw this on the next party I DJ, and see how many people I can get dancing to it.

    One word Karpet, "TubeMate".

That, combined with an MP3 converter and you're ready to rock.

  5. I've always liked Ted Cruz (Michael Sweet). It wouldn't be easy pulling off a double identity.

All jokes aside, the first video is actually quite worrying.

Of course, none of us here are susceptible to media manipulation, but many are.

So for the heck of it, lets say Biden wins and the right lose their minds and run riot and cause mayhem all over the place...I guess it would be reasonable for Biden to send out the National Guard and crush them? At least it sounds like the right move to me....and yes I believe this is a reasonable move no matter who the rioters are....

Trump wont have to worry about re-election anymore, and he can turn the National Guard loose

If he does win, then I think you're right about this.

Once he's locked in for that coveted second term, he's gonna drop the hammer.

If he loses, you can guarantee that every newspaper in the world will have a picture of Trump on the front page with the headline "You're Fired!".  100%.

Butt Cream sales are gonna skyrocket because of HEAT.
    Lots of butt-hurt people everywhere.
Some people can't move on/move backwards.
They couldn't move on with Warrant, Great White and Gotthard etc etc, so if that's you, may as well give up on HEAT now.

I dunno, I think the fact that they've reinstated their original vocalist makes it different from those other examples.

If they had of recruited someone else, I could understand a certain amount of backlash, but I think on the whole this will be well received.

The classy way it was handled helps.

  9. No matter what side of the fence you're on (or if you're sitting on it), you have a prediction of how it's gonna go down.

Personally, I honestly think it's gonna be a Trump landslide.

On a side note, I sincerely hope all our American members stay safe in the next few weeks. Shit's gonna get real either way.

  10. AC/DC - Night Prowler.

    Happy Halloween....... I guess.

We've definitely embraced it here (commercially, at least), but it's popularity is nothing compared to the US of course.

You don't hear this one very often, but this would come close to being my favourite AC/DC track. It's certainly up there.

The last track on Bon Scott's last album.

Three members on the cover are still current and the only reason the other two aren't is because they're dead!

My childhood was similar. And Cuntry was my main jam for four or five years back in the mid nineties.

Mate, I haven't even started to delve into the recesses of my early musical memories.

My Grandfather wasn't a big music fan, but he absolutely loved Irish piano accordian music and played his records quite regularly.

My Grandmother loved a wide variety of music, but her absolute favorite was "Patsy Cline". Her discography is etched in my brain.

  12. I thought Brian Johnson was shot vocally. His voice was gradually degrading and it was becoming noticeable, but this is superb. He sounds like he did in his prime. It makes sense that if you have a severe hearing issue that it would affect your voice, but it looks like maybe the hearing surgery or whatever he had has made a difference.

That opening riff instantly brings a familiar smile.
