Great news!!!

I think it all boils down to this.
The Republican Candidate will be Trump.
The Election will be decided on whether you're pro Trump or anti Trump.
It doesn't matter who the Democratic Candidate is.
If you're a Trump supporter, you'll vote for him regardless.
If you're not, then even if the Democratic Candidate is Kim Kardashian, you'll still give her you're vote over Trump.
I think the biggest boost to Trump's 2024 campaign has been the absolute shit show that is the Biden administration.

This commercial's a few months old, but I've just seen it on YouTube.
As commercials go, this is pretty cool.

Yeah, I poke a lot of shit at the Song/Album Game threads and I probably shouldn't. I won't anymore.
I made this pledge 6 months ago in another thread and I'll stick to it, but fuck me, it's not easy.

Always assumed Little Caesar was named after the Kiss song but don't really know that.
Kiss song was 1989, same time the band first appeared on a compilation.
I think they were both named after the 1931 gangster movie.

Bad Company
Black Sabbath
Are they bands named after songs or songs named after bands?
It's the chicken and the egg in musical form.

Gotta say I'm loving this album. Rightly so, Nuno's guitar is the star, but I gotta say Gary's voice has lost none of its range or expressiveness. He is underrated as a frontman. Trademark harmonies are there too. Album of the year at the moment.
Who would have thought a couple of years ago that we'd all be "Extreme" fanboys.
There have been many bands that have tried and failed to stay the course over the years, but these guys have actually surpassed their former glories IMO.
Pure talent never gets old and it's great to see Nuno and Gary getting the recognition they deserve.
They're playing at the "Forum" in Melbourne in October BTW. You must be tempted mate.

Ironically, I don't remember this one, but it rocks.

This is a great cover, but it doesn't compare to the '79 original.
The original is s huge time machine for me.

Girl From Syria - Adellaide.
I'll add another great Middle Eastern inspired track to this one from Doggy.
I feel dirty posting here, so I'll at least add the clip.

Listening to this track for the umpteenth time made me realise what a great track this would be put to a sporting montage, hence the video of course.
It would match well with all teams from all codes, but in particular a sporting team known as the Lions as a result of the Killer line " You better bet your life when you run with the Lion".
We have an AFL (the real Football) team down here called the "Brisbane Lions".
Their promotions team should be all over this.

Daryl's a Legend down here.
Speaking of Daryl.
There aren't too many popular tracks that reference Cricket.
This early Daryl Braithwaite Aussie classic with "Sherbet" and the "10cc" classic, "Dreadlock Holiday" are the only ones I can think of.
Both tracks are very popular down here BTW.
I guess you could also add "C'mon Aussie C'mon", which was an iconic cricket anthem when it was released in the 70's.

Yep,
Good call and nice find Whiplash.
Here's another 5 tracks from their Killer album.
Normally I'd start my own thread, but I found this one to be adequate and worthy.
Well done.

Do they even have songs they can perform on television?
I was wondering the same thing.
AGT, as with all the other worldwide "Got Talent" shows are predominantly family friendly television.
I'd like to think that many straight laced people would have checked out their discography based on that performance.
This is their ultimate piss take.
Hilarious.

I'm guessing it's only gonna be our American friends who have heard of this guy, if any at all.
My Grandmother and Mother loved him and had all his LP's.
I guess the term "spoken word song" is a bit of an oxymoron, but I don't know how else to describe these tracks.
He specialised in tear jerker stories.
I have very, very early memories of my Mum and Nan bawling their eyes out over this guy's tracks, especially "Teddy Bear".
Anyone else heard of "Red Sovine"?

Hinger, Hinger - Roadmaster
Hinger?
That's it. The song game is broken.
For the love of God, please let it rest in peace.

Yeah, a sad loss.
She was a massive part of the soundtrack of my younger years.
She was very much loved down here.
She had a Starring role in a "Mad Max" film.
That's instant Aussie citizenship.
