  1. Two stunning releases in a weak year: Fair Warning - 4 (Four) - 98 % Axel Rudi Pell - The Masquerade Ball - 93 %
  2. I guess you're not fan of prog metal. Another great band killed by NB. Maybe not my favourite genre, but no 2 is at least no 2.
  3. Aviator is a brilliant disc, but was released in 1986 originally, hence why it's not high up on my list for this year Ah , sorry, so there were only 2 Great albums 1997,that year just got even worse.

    Hello

Thanks for the Welcome. Don't think anyone in here is normal, but works for me
  5. Looking through my rated albums, I find these to be the best from 1993. Red Dawn - Never Say Surrender - 92 % Took a few spins to fully appreciate this gem. Perfect sound, some perfect songs, but not all of them, even if they are close. Blue Murder - Nothin' But Trouble - 86 % Not as good as the debut, but still good. Robby Valentine - The Magic Infinity - 79 % The genius from Holland who does it all on his own. "Only Your Love" is the best song here. Wish he had done more songs like that. Harem Scarem - Mood Swings - 77 % Well, "everyone" seems to love this one, I prefer their first album and surprisingly "Higher". Might be alone to think so... Def Leppard - Retroactive - 75 % The legends in not one of their best albums, but "Miss You In A Heartbeat" and "Two Steps Behind" are great ballads. Eyes - Windows Of The Soul - 70 % Can't go wrong with Jeff Scott Soto, can it? But in this case, it kinda did. He was better in W.E.T. and Talisman.
  6. Eh... I can't come to think about any really good album from this year. The year that the rock God forgot about. Pass.

    Hello

Looking forward to take part of this forum. I like melodic rock, AOR (if not toooo soft), metal, preferably melodic, but really heavy, really hard and really can be nice too, good for the adrenaline... Examples of fav bands are Fair Warning, Eclipse, AC/DC, Axel Rudi Pell, Styx, Danger Danger, Dakota, Strangeways etc. etc., too many to mention.
  8. A rather poor year with three exceptions. Fair Warning - Go! - 100 % One of my very favourite albums ever. An album packed full of strong melodies. Symphony X - The Divine Wings Of Tragedy - 89 %. By many considered to be their best, but my favourite is the brand new mega fantastic "Underworld". Aviator - S/T - 85 %. Starts great but has some fillers. "Don't Turn Away" is such a brilliant song.
