Apparently Al Fritsch has passed away, don't have any more details though. Must have been at least two days ago

Biggest problem with the main site is....... I don't speak Spanish
Jokes aside, I knew of the main site first and sometimes just go there to see what other people write about albums I like. Haven't been on it that often lately though and have never posted anything there either, to be honest I didn't even know you could with the same login as for the forum

So December 1 then..... did this project have a different name at some point or was it always Eisley / Goldy?

The album actually has the fewest fillers on a Darkness release, but also doesn't have that 1 or 2 kick ass song like previous efforts. The production is ace and the musicians are at their best. Rufus Taylor....Queen's Roger Taylor's son sounds great on drums and gives the band a fuller sound. The variety of songs are immense but other than 1 or 2 duds the rest is 'pretty solid'....an intended pun on two of the released tracks.
Had chosen to ignore this release but will check it out now as I liked at least a few songs on every album
Their weakest in my opinion so far was Hot Cakes

In case anyone's wondering, the 4 are:
Breathe
Bad Habits Die Hard
Pure Fucking Adrenaline
River Phoenix Pt. 2
-
As of now my verdict is: 7 good songs and 4 forgettable or not phenomenal ones but with good bits at least

That does sound a little worrying but also intriguing , I'll try and approach it with an open mind , not that it bothers me in the slightest but is it loaded with f bombs like the last one ?
is it available for everyone to buy as a download now then , or do you have to have preordered the disc ?
Not as many F bombs but still a few, funny cause Amazon (where I got it from as MP3s) only lists one song as being ''explicit'' (the one with ''Fuckin'' in the title) but there's at least 3 or 4 other songs with cursing actually the one thing that made me go WTF the most wasn't the cursing but this line in one song: ''Fuck Donald Trump give me Bernie Sanders'' .......... hmm, ok..................
It's available digitally on Amazon and iTunes starting today, haven't seen a single source having a different release date (i.e. November) so should be available in Europe, the US and Japan.
BTW the Japanese bonus track is a cover of No Doubt's ''Hella Good'' I've heard a 30 sec clip of it. Not sure if or when the album will be available on Spotify, maybe someone who has an account can check?

Is it comparable to the last disc ? I still love that last one
This one is a lot more diverse, not sure you'll like everything though. Some modern elements as well, and when I say modern I don't mean modern heavy music but modern pop or radio music...
It's difficult to describe, a lot of songs have different styles and elements they incorporate. There are songs that in 3 and a half minutes offer heavy / thrash riffs and at the same time groovy parts that almost sound like nu-metal, like P.O.D. for example
Songs where they use piano, female backing vocals even, one features a choir singing ''sha na na na na na na na na'', very ambitious in some places. Very eclectic record and some stuff I could do without but I like a lot of it so far and the band can be proud of this album I think

Oh, and ''Get Me out of California'' would have been the perfect album closer. Not sure why they added River Phoenix pt2. at the end...
-
First spin through and I like it, sure beats the new H.E.A.T.
I'm sure a lot of people will scratch their heads over ''Breathe'', there's whistling, acoustic guitars, fretless bass, violins.....
Surprising favorite for me: Voice of the New Generation, bang bang tonight motherfucker..... hahahahahaha
-
Kinda missed / didn't pay attention to this one.... will have to check it out based on the comments
-
Listened to River Phoenix again and starting to like it, it's got that pop appeal which could make it a grower. Liking both songs released so far but not a fan of some of the new songs I've heard in the live videos. Let's see how they sound on record, 2 more days.....

Hmm...
It doesn't like embedded videos in this forum, but I can start/post in other forums and embed videos just fine... but I cannot find a setting to control this on a per-forum basis. I've put in a support ticket to find out what is going on.
Which forum are you trying to post a video in?
I tried in the Sleaze (Santa Cruz thread) forum. I think the site might have even changed the link I posted before the site update from embedded video to just a text of the link but I'm not 100% sure.
Thanks

Does anyone know how to embed videos? I seem to have a lot less options for posts than before
-
I like both styles but it's cool to see old footage again after a few years. I had forgotten how cool these were, great energy and attitude
BTW how can I embed videos does anyone know?? I had just figured it out on the old site and started using it then the site changed now it doesn't work anymore...

Mine is slated at a November 10th release on cd from amazon uk
I just checked and all sources have the October date listed for release. Both iTunes and Amazon (UK, Germany and .com) say MP3s will be available October 6. Not sure why there is a November date, maybe that's for physical CDs only (or Spotify).
-
I think this is coming out next Friday but I'm not sure. Couldn't find info on digital releases only physical so far. I've ordered it from this Finnish website where it says October 6, you guys think they'll ship it that day?

The new Kingsman, really liked it. A little lighter on jokes than the first one but other than that a good mix of action and comedy
-
I own Address The Nation and Tearing Down The Walls with the new one on the way (in the mail).
Address The Nation was the better album if you ask me.
From what I've heard of the old singer he seems ok, but the new guy sounds much better to me.
Of course I prefer vocals that can hit those high notes. So maybe thats it.
Need to check the mail and see if the new one is here yet.
Dude, Kenny the first singer hits some insanely high notes. Just listen to ''Never Let Go'' for example.
Maybe you don't like the style but just saying, if you're looking for an accomplished singer definitely check out their debut

heard this thing first time yesterday and even though still like it, is it safe to say that this is the worst release so far ?
Yes

This is officially out today and I'm already over it LOL

They're pretty much dead as far as I know
Midnite City
in AOR and Hard Rock

Went back and listened to ''Summer of our Lives'' but wasn't overly impressed, any better songs from them?
Or would you consider this one of their good/better songs? In which case, this might not be for me
