This isn't shocking at all, after all Spotify as a company of course need to maximize their profit where they only charge like a small $5 a month per user to access those hundreds of thousand songs. It's not their fault at all, but artist should realize that Spotify and streaming isn't gonna cover their production cost or make them rich, they should consider it as merely a portal for promotion where the real money should be made either by concert or crowdfunding-type of business.
Selling a $10 CD will give artist at least $1 or $1.5 (or maybe more if they cut off the distributor) where you have to get a 2500 stream for that kind of money, of course it's much easier for artist to sell 500 CDs worldwide rather than get a million stream, not everybody can be Iron Maiden, Metallica, Katy Perry, or Justin Bieber

From Nick Workman :
Currently writing songs for Vega 5. Will be recording late summer 2017 for a 2018 release
Don't forget to save some goodies for the next Issa album

Eclipse, Lionville, TMF, Brother Firetribe, One Desire, and Confess in the top 6 rotation so far,
i think it's the sensible choice for most of us here.
some other albums 'might be' underrated, but well worth another visit from me are Sweet Mary Jane, Vain, Place Vendome, Blackfield, and Jim Jidhed (i think all these five will fall into 77-83 category)

Started to listen to some jazz music back in 2005-2006, and then explore more albums as the year goes on.
I like some good ol trumpet/sax/piano stuff but not the difficult one, maybe only on the cool-jazz side, and also like some smooth jazz stuff with some R&B touch, great for driving and also background music.
Sometimes, classical music for a variation, soul and pop stuff maybe like Adele, Sting, etc

My favourite short albums would include five of the first six Van Halen albums:
Van Halen (the longest of the lot - 35:34)
Van Halen II (31:36)
Women And Children First (33:13)
Fair Warning (31:11)
1984 (33:17)
As for longer albums:
Queensryche: Operation: Mindcrime (59:14)
Warrior Soul: Salutations From The Ghetto Nation (56:23)
Van Halen debut is a killer too

Just to chip in an opinion, but of course it's all down to everybody's personal style.
There's a logical explanation on why we should only rate the best 12 tracks (and I think not 10 like Glen did).
First of all, if you take random sampling of any 20-30 albums anywhere in the world, you'll see that only 2-3 albums that will have more than 12 tracks, and sometimes out of those 2 or 3, the extra tracks are actually only 35 seconds intro, any instrumental tracks less than 2 minutes, or just an acoustic take/re-mix of a same song which we can skip/ignore, and means that it's only fair to judge a maximum of 12 tracks because that's what statistic concluded about any given regular studio album.
A good way to see this random example is to go to our mainsite, pick the band started from letter A, B, or C, and just pick the first 20-30 bands, and sort out each of their albums, i bet mostly will have around 9-12 tracks and not more.
Second of all, if we agree that the majority of studio albums are 12 tracks or less, then i think it's only fair to judge like what the majority offered, which is only 12 tracks. And beside, since a band will spend more time, effort, and money in studio to record the extra 2 or more tracks while we don't spend extra penny to buy that album, we have to appreciate this, and not punish them like Glen stated and thus leaving out 2 'worst' tracks in a 14-tracks album is the sensible way, and unlike playing the old tape, we don't need to break a sweat to skip a bad track when playing a CD or MP3, it's only a click away that cost us less than 2 seconds.

Actually, what we need is more power metal fans here because saying early EDGUY albums are bad are pure non-sense since their best album is definitely 'Theater of Salvation', but i think most of their albums are consistently good, i can see myself throwing a range of 75-85% for the rest
-
i love Bon Jovi's 'These Days', it's over 60 minutes and also GNR 'Use Your Illusion 2' at 75 minutes
for the short one, well I guess Harem Scarem debut, clocking only at 40 minutes might be the one,
but for album less than that, hm i think Ratt is a good call
-
well nobody remembers their original members anyway and i think retaining the old name won't cause any legal trouble so why not
that song is quite okay, but well 60 minutes of an album could turn this band into Rage of Angels ?
-
I won't call it average as it's definitely above 75% for me, slightly above the last one, but still can't pass the 80% mark
i like 'Hit The Wall', 'The Sun..', 'New Day Breakin' and 'The Other Option', the rest are good and i can live without 'Reign of fire', 'Concussion', and 'Grains of Sand' but not bad by any means.

I think Durbin fits very well into the band, like to hear the new album asap
-
Japan's release is out tomorrow, hopefully can grab a sample of the whole album first before ordering one
-
yeah love it, i also hear some modern elements here, the Cruzh and Degreed comparison are also spot on, but overall they lean into more Scandi melodic rock rather than modern pop, but overall as predicted, a good contender for the top spot in the first half, and maybe in the top 10 by the end of year.
oh and i think 'Whenever I'm Dreaming' is such a beautiful song but not much love for 'Apologize' and 'Straight Through The Heart'
'Turn Back Time' and 'Falling Apart' are huge too

An awesome guitarwork, as always, great song overall

Brother Firetribe - Sunbound
in AOR and Hard Rock

Brother Firetribe should be rated at least 86% and Steel Panther is 68%, a nice number right ?![:D](//content.invisioncic.com/r42935/emoticons/default_biggrin.png)
