Wow, you’re doing yourself a massive disservice by lumping Slaughter in with all the 80s artists that sold out. Slaughter never did, and in my opinion ‘Fear no evil’ is their best album, still in the same hard rock style as first two, if not slightly ballsier. Highly recommended.
Well I might actually check that one out then, based on your comment, thanks.

I guess a lot the mid nineties releases from the classic eighties rock bands never really got a fair chance by me, releases like Slang, Ultraphobic, Fear no Evil and probably others.
Maybe because I was hugely let down by Subhuman Race and Mötley Crüe, I thought that every act was putting out shit like that, so I never bothered.
These days there is so much high quality music to check out, so I might never go back to revisit these records.

This dude can cover everything and make it sound like his own, amazing voice. Suppose he's gonna make a living being the hired gun here and there like Jeff Scott Soto and the likes.

Everything Red Hot Chili Peppers ever recorded, man do they suck to these ears!

I like it plenty, they've always had this kind of gloomy side to some of their songs, and they do that really well.

Leckie, you little beauty, Australia 1 Denmark 0
Yeah, that really sucked, the boys had been playing so well at Euro 2020, world cup quali, and nations league, but they sure failed at this tournament, such a letdown. Best of luck to Australia, fully deserved.

I was there too mate. You can't beat the atmosphere of a concert "in the round".
I'm surprised it doesn't happen more often.
Metallica did it on their Hardwired tour, at least at the show I saw.
Apparently they are doing it on their M72 World Tour 2023-2024

My first live experience was D-A-D on April 22, 1995, at a venue which had a capacity of 6000 people.
It was on their Helpyourselfish tour, and every song from that album was included on a setlist consisting of 24 songs. They were at the height of their career both musically and popularity-wise.
I've seen them about 15 times, but this April night was something special.

Ten Thousand Fists and Indestructible are two really great albums imo, way better and more consistent than any Nickelback album, who usually only have about a handful of enjoyable songs on them.

Many consider them a dark horse in the tournament. I've seen some pundits having the Danes in the semis.
Best result so far was the quarter finals in 98, where we lost out to brazil, so a semi-final spot would be considered a succes. It's only the sixth time we are a part of the World Cup.

Cheerin' for Denmark naturally

I still go, whenever I can afford it, just recently saw Skid Row in London, and saw H.E.A.T in Hamburg earlier this year, went to some local clubs to see Cabal, Lipid and Beartooth as well.
Got tickets to 3 shows coming up: Baest (November), Illdisposed (February) and Ice Nine Kills (February)
I love the live scene, I'm done however, with outdoor stadium shows watching Aerosmith (or any other dinosaur rock act), cause it always ends up raining that day, and Pretty Maids, D-A-D or whoever opens, usually steals the show anyway.

The only one I can think of at the moment is Trench Dogs.
Good stuff, sounds like The Dogs D' Amour and Alleycat Scratch had a baby.
They're not on the main site?

Haha, so you're asking what bands I dislike most? I assume you'll know of all these, but some of my most disliked (but also similar to the style you request) -
Rock City Angels
Salty Dog
Sea Hags
Sister Whiskey
Never heard of Sister Whiskey, that 1993 album on the main site looks interesting, it was even on a major label, yet nowhere to be found on my streaming platform nor itunes, bummer

I love the style of bands like The Quireboys, Red Dogs and Dogs d' Amour.
There's got to be bands out there that I haven't heard of yet, who sounds in the vein of these bands.
So fire away folks, Thanx!

More in the death metal genre, but these guys deserves recognition outside the borders of Denmark, as they are immensely talented.

The new Machine Head album is brilliant.

Imo it's a fine record, as long as you're not comparing it with HEAT II.

I always enjoy at least a handful of songs on their albums.
This is modern rock perfection:

They sound like Sort Sol:

Pick any band(s), pick no more than 15 songs to compile your preferred setlist, and take the running order in cosideration as well.
Only one band per post please, I'll start with H.E.A.T.
