This should be interesting, I love their first two albums.
Motel California did nothing for me, "Would you like to be there" was the only memorable track off that record, imo.

As far as I know Dominus were a Death Metal act, with growl vocals.
Volbeat are a heavy rock (rock-a-billy style) band, with Johnny Cash and Elvis Presley influences. They tend to sound there best on their more melodic songs, like the one above, which I really love

Anyone heard the above song?
Think it has a Kiss feel to it. Curious to hear what you guys think of it?

cover art revealed:

Great album, with "Set it on Fire" (sounds almost like Hanson ) being the only filler.
I've had no luck finding "Fucked up Situation", "Without You" or "Still worth Fighting For" on iTunes, any suggestions where to find these tracks?

Baby Tuckoo - Force Majeure could use an update.

I agree, "Don't Come Easy" is one of the most perfect cd's from the era.

Rockhead - Hell's Back Door
A track I only just recently heard for the first time, been playing it a lot over the last week or so. What an amazing song.

Never really got into anything they did after Good Acoustics.
I remember one song called "Acid Rain" off Category 5, which I guess I kinda liked.
-
Definitely "Dial Hard", Gotthard's finest album.
-
Thanx mate
Great song, guess I should catch up on some sleeping now, with that out of my head.

Are you guys familiar with concept of having a piece of a song going around in your head, yet for some reason you can't freakin' remember who wrote it?
It's annoying, 'cause naturally you wanna hear it
I figured we could need a thread for these issues.
I find this happening more and more often for me, I guess it's one those things which seems to increase as you grow older.
Here's the piece I can't remember:
"it is time for a change, let your voice be heard.
We only get one chance on this planet earth.
Open your eyes...... Bla bla bla.
It's an awesome song, and I've heard it so many times, which just makes it even more frustrating.

So who's songs in particular would I really love to hear covered? I'm going to put it out there that I would love to hear some hard rock cover versions of that wonderfully breasted Katy Perry bird. There are some huge hooks (like that 'Firework' song) just waiting to be metalized. Even that 'Teenage Dream' song would sound awesome, I reckon. Oh, and that 'My hands' song by that gay Pitbull guy.
Actually The Baseballs did a rock-a-billy version of "Hot n' Cold", pretty cool if you're into that kind of stuff.

The albums second best track after "Call Paul Stanley" is "Touch". The weakest of the bunch is "Look Out".
I'd rate the album 9/10, awesome stuff

Just heard the two Japanese bonus tracks on youtube, great stuff.
Any suggestions on how to get a hold of these two tracks? I'm not buying the Japanese edition as I already own the poor man's version.
They're not available on iTunes either

I ordered this from cdon a couple of months ago, then ultimately got an e-mail which said they couldn't deliver, yet for some reason it's still available on the site.
Then I tried ordering it from Ginza.se (about three weeks ago now), got an email which said it's not available at the moment, and therefor is kept in back order, my guess is, in a month or so they'll tell me they can't deliver either.
hi Kristian,
you should go to www.sleaszyrider.com and order directly from Solis (LnB is under his label) for only EUR 5 per CD, and you can also buy several Perris discs there, for the same price, so it could be the cheapest you can get.
Thanks I'll do that, just have to make sure Ginza have deleted my order, so I don't end up with two copies.

Asphalt Ballet, they were in that Charlie Sheen movie, way back.

Theater of Pain: "Home Sweet Home"
Girls Girls Girls: "Wildside" - best Crüe song ever!
Dr. Feelgood: "Same ol' Situation" - surprised to see it only got 5 votes.
-
Tough to pick out only 15 tracks.
Piece of Your Action
On With the Show
Knock 'em Dead Kid
Smoking in the Boys Room
Home Sweet Home
Raise You Hands to Rock
Wildside
Dancing on Glass
All in the Name of
You're All I Need
Kickstart my Heart
Same ol' Situation
She Goes Down
Don't Go Away Mad
Anybody Out There?
...and Toast of the Town , if it were on the list.

Their first album was great
Apparently they have a new album out.
The first single "Dead Weight" sounds very promising.
Check it out on revolvertv.com

Great review
I remember reviewing it for Antenna, I'll see if I can find the file somewhere.
Imo it's the best AOR album released this side of the millenium, absolutely amazing.
Too bad last years Terry Brock record couldn't live up to it.
Cool song, who is it?
in AOR and Hard Rock

So my wife is playing this iPad game called Push-cars.
It has a great intro song, sounds kinda like Eddie Robison's band Jet 68.
I found the intro on youtube:
Does anyone know who this might be?
