Ok so a little late on this one....by about 15 years, but i've been reading Game Of Thrones - George R.R. Martin after seeing the promos for the series..
All I can say is....WOW!! LOVE this book! Haven't read anything this good in awhile
-
Because I do believe it's the same copy i've been listening to for the past few days....small world eh? Reminded me of the forum and how I haven't shown my face for awhile so I thought i'd pop by and say hi...got the internet in my room now, and im out of action after surgery so I might actually be able to spend some time on here again!!
How is everyone? It's been awhile

Who the hell is Will Weaton? If he's your neighbour or something, yeah, I guess he looks a little like him... in 20 years.
I have to admit I have no relationship with Duran Duran at all... don't even know one of their songs. I think the only one I ever heard was a few covers of that 'Hungry like a wolf' song?
Either way, the above song does nothing for me so not sure I'll form a relationship with them any time soon.
Haha, I had a feeling most of the people on here wouldnt know who he is :') he was on Star Trek in the late 80s/early 90s....Dark Star will know who he is
And how can you not have heard Wild Boys, Girls On Film or View To A Kill?!?! x
Yeah, sorry mate. All unfamiliar titles to me. I've seen plenty of naughty, naughty, naughty girls on film, but not heard it, or the others.
And Star Trek, hey? I'll leave it at that.
What? I used to be a nerd before I discovered Leather, Alcohol, Girls and Rock Music :') x

Its obviously very easy to have any doubt when its a released song thats being ripped off (see Huey Lewis vs Ray Parker Jr)
Ironically I'm lsitening to that song right now, been listening to HL&TN for the last hour xD
Doesn't sound that much like Ghostbusters to be plagiarism tho :s x

I am not saying any is lying when they say they have been ripped off, but I'm not about to start taking their word as gospel either.
If everyone believed I was guilty of some of the things I have been falsely accused of over the years, I would probably be six feet under by now.
Same...and i'm only 20! I don't subscribe to the 'no smoke without fire' because i've seen it happen on many occasions...it's not hard to point the finger at a hugely succesful (and wealthy) artist or band without proof to back up your claims....now if he had proof thatd be a different story, for all we know he's spent the last 2 years trying to get 'his' version of the song to sound like it was recorded in the basement on an 8-track 25 years ago for authenticty's sake
If you ask me, I think it's just bitterness/jealousy... x
-
He beat his addiction tho, he was taking Methadone and anxiety tablets before he died...he was on the methadone from rehab... x
-
I dunno, I love old Duran Duran but i'm not sure about this track...maybe it'll grow on me..
Although does anyone else think it looks like Wil Wheaton is singing this?
-
Brent Smith for sure x
-
That was Season 5 I think...great episode, as was last weeks!!
'Apaprently you're called Jensen Ackles and I'm someone named Jared Padalecki?' 'So what, you're polish now?!' xD x
-
Well I still believe in the 'innocent until proven guilty' philosophy...and I haven't seen any proof yet... x

Like Captain Howdy I'm listening to a lot of genres atm so i'm gonna try and pick a song from each genre (roughly)
In no particular order obviously...
1. L.A Woman - The Doors
2. White Rabbit - Jefferson Airplane
3. Lay Your Hands On Me - Bon Jovi
4. March Of The Pigs - Nine Inch Nails
5. Touchdown - Bob James
6. Blitzkrieg Bop - The Ramones
7. Burn - The Cure
8. Wild Boys - Duran Duran
9. Dirty Little Girl - Burn Halo
10. Born To Be Wild - Steppenwolf
And an honourable mention to Would? - Alice In Chains x

Wow...I can really wet a blanket when I was 16 :') x
Should be 'could', not 'can'...if yer gonna do it, do it right
Could someone please explain, or did you 'have to be there'?
I didn't get it then, and I don't get it now x
-
Now THAT is a proper stereo, none of this frickin' ipod + dock crap!! x
-
That reminds me, was that Stranger disc ever released? I remember winning a copy in a similay fashion as this but the masters got held up or something? Was really looking forward to that one x

Wow...I was one hell of a wet blanket when I was 16 :') x

All of the scenes that were supposedly inside the "ship" were obviously filmed in a fancy hotel. I know I saw buildings in the distance out the windows during several scenes where the ship was supposed to be out at sea. At one point the characters trying to escape were running through access tunnels with concrete walls, stairs and floors. On a ship? No wonder it sank.
Thats cause it was filmed in a fancy hotel...AND a ship! They used the Queen Mary in Long Island, CA...saw this a few months ago and it's just dire, I tried to get through the whole thing but I just couldn't x

I dunno, I do love the acoustic version of Lay Your Hands On Me, always have...but some of the tracks are hardly listenable IMO x

Another 'dated' car that would be at the top of my list is the Trans Am from Smoky and The Bandit...
That is my dream car. I have wanted that car ever since I first watched the movie. Maybe one day it will be mine.
And Knight Rider Would love a Trans Am personally, but i think im about 30 years and 3000 miles off for that

I'm not sure I'd want certain (alright, most) of the 'classic' threads I was involved in coming into the spotlight tbh people tend to change, grow up etc...I wouldnt want newcomers forming opinions of me based on posts I made when i was 16 simply because I don't have time to post regularly on here these days

What Do you Got is Crap, and No Apologies is embarassing to say the least:
